I've played a lot of the AAA games over recent years, and I'm having an absolute blast with this game. It's far better than I expected, and better than many of them.
Here is 1 tip i learned on accident that literally changed the way i fight cyclopses and bigger beasts who throw boulders. You can use Hercules braces to catch the rocks in mid air and throw them back for some super massive damage.
Instead of axing trees for pomegranate, you can just double jump up and collect one fruit. The perk noted will collect all of them from the tree in one move.
I'm blown away by how much better the vaults are than the botw shrines. The puzzles are actually clever and varied so they don't feel like a chore as they tend to after a while in BOTW. I'm really impressed with this game!
No matter what armor / helmet you're wearing, you can apply any skin on them without losing that perks. In other words, you can combine any skin with any perk you want.
Upgrading Apollo’s arrow to precision control has literally been a god send. I recommend unlocking that perk early on. It’ll help tremendously with some of the puzzles.
Some fun tips with getting upgrades for Herakles: Absolutely get the the buff that allows you to lift heavier objects and the one that lets you pull small enemies toward you. A lot of myth challenges and even some vaults require you to push heavy boxes, but are infinitely easier with the upgrade when you can just chuck 'em around. And pulling enemies toward you is fun simply because I like to go near lakes or cliffs, jump, pull 'em, and then watch them fall.
I just finished the game at 51 hours and I loved every minute of this game. I'm just about to start the DLC. This is one of the best game's from Ubisoft in a LONG time.
7:50 Some additional tips on the bonus chests in the vaults: First off, some actually have two chests, not just one. Hit the button you usually hit to open the gear/map screens (it's "--" on the Switch, but I'm not sure about other platforms). While it will say "map unavailable," it will also show you what you have left to collect in the vault. Secondly, when you first drop into the dungeon, scan the sky. There should be a tall, golden beacon of light that will tip you off to the location(s) of the chest(s). Once you've found everything there is to find in a vault, it will close permanently, so if a vault goes golden rather than closing off, you missed something.
Bonus tip on the arrow challenges - you don't have to succeed in one try as long as you do not move off the pad. All of the ones you have gone through will remain glowing or sparkling blue. Simply go through any of the glowing or sparkling ones and continue. If you have to light something on fire, you will need to make sure you hit that as well, but you can take a dozen tries as long as you don't move off the little icon.
I know right? How did they knock 30% of the price so early? And I don't understand Ubi doesn't market it a little better, reviews are good, and it's even better than I thought. Serious BotW vibes!
Great video! Can’t wait to try some of these tips. One pointer for the secret chests at 7:59; a vertical beam of light is beamed from the chest, making them super easy to spot.
and even if you don't have a direct line-of-sight to the chest or object, if you pull out your telescope/scanner thing (hold right stick in) and move around the approximate area where the chest should be, you can 'reveal' the icon+distance to player on the map and compass, it's super useful
I found a really good early game helmet called “Mane of Pride” it does +150% damage against unharmed enemies! It can be found in the clashing rocks region of the map.
1. I like how using shrooms during Apollo's arrow was a side note for him while it was the one thing he said that was game changing for me 2. you can use Ares wrath and Athena's dash in mid-air to aid traversal, something he didn't mention that changed how I moved cause I didn't buy them at first but after I did I felt like I struggled too much for nothing 3. Athena's dash gives temporary laser immunity after an upgrade 4. Phosphor's upgrade that makes a clone of you breaks some puzzles and makes entire actions unnecessary sometimes 5. Herakles has an upgrade that lets you lift heavier objects, breaks puzzles 6. when an enemy throws something at you, you can catch it and throw it back 7. enemies take fall damage (the non-flying ones) and they can't swim, do with that what you will 8. you can't "game over" in the vaults (as far as I know) so don't worry about falling too many times 9. there's some stuff tied to the main story that the game won't let you do ahead of time, but others it will, so if the item that's clearly needed for your progression is locked behind doors, just do a few other story quests 10.for the most part the stuff on Hermes board fills itself out retroactively, so if there's a quest that's taking you a while, don't rush it, you might end up with multiple back to back where all you have to do is accept and then turn in the quests without taking a step
About 8 point. Actually (at least on nightmare level) you are losing near 1/3 health for each death in vault. So either yo will start a vault from the very beginning or you should spend potions to keep up your health after each death.
I realize I’m super late to the party but I was recently able to grab this game’s gold edition and all DLC for crazy cheap. I wasn’t expecting much tbh but WOW. I missed it the first time around and I’m not sure why I didn’t really hear about it but it’s honestly amazing and I genuinely cannot believe the price I got it for, especially when Nintendo is STILL charging $60 for Breath of the Wild at the end of 2023. It’s an excellent game and I hope they do more of these in a series. Gameplay, combat and the story are all awesome. If you’re into mythology at all you’ll love it.
Been playing for about 8 hours now on my first playthrough. The first skills I upgraded were the cheap one like Telekinesis Gathering, Swim Dash, Glide Boost and Climb Leap. They make life so much easier. I've learned a long time ago that in this kind of games the utility powers are super useful and should be unlocked really early on.
that's a good point! When you think about it, at least half of the time you're playing a game like this is spent traversing the map, so movement enhancements get a lot of use. I always get those first too, otherwise I have to remember that I picked the 'wrong' choice every time I try to swim dash or glide boost and can't😂
Played for like 5 hours last night without even realizing it lol . Games dope really enjoying it so far !!! I put down cyberpunk to give this a try smart move until the game gets a million patches smh 🤦♂️. #ps5
You can also use far sight in vaults to make it easier to find chests. Found that out with about 10 vaults left unfortunately but I'm about to start new game +.
I understand that it is a 2 year old video of a 2 year old game, but if somebody by accident see my message there is one big tip to just... win the game... i dont know how else to put it... For some reason it is not in the video. Axe sprint attack. That is it. You get that skill, and it will be over, no boss or enemy on any difficulty cant hande this, you just hit and run, and one hit usually enough to deal 70% or so stamina damage, 2 hits and enemy stunned, and you do whatever you want, rinse, repeat. This skill is insane.
I have a ton of hours in this game. Some helpful advice 1. Grab the telekinesis perk (it only cost two coins) you should always be harvesting every plant you come across. There no such thing as too many 2. Do the bird quest the second it is available (that little dude will become your best friend) 3. Grab one of the epic mounts in the far east watering area or the southern watering area. Both in Athenas section of the map 4. (I cant stress this enough) take your sweet ass time in Athenas region. Do a bunch of puzzles, dungeons, collect everything that could possibly make your character more durable for late game. Don't forget to explore 5. Play the game however the hell you want. As long as you're having fun there is no wrong way to play this wonderful overlooked gem of a game
There is a level 3 mount call Laurion. It’s a horse with wings/pegasus. Can’t remember where exactly I found her, but I do remember it was in shallow water near the starting area
I just stumbled upon it last night and it’s amazing! It’s in one of the southeastern islands in the initial area. Super easy to get to early on (I’m just 5-6 hours in) and one of the best mounts in the game :) Plus it looks so elegant.
Here's a tip! When completing the Odeyesus challenges don't get off the activation circle and you won't have to put the arrows sequentially thru the circles on the axe handles. Wherever your last arrow missed just take up from there, but the order won't matter as long as you stay on the activation circle.
Here's another tip, even if you don't accept Hermes heroic challenges at the Hall of gods you can still get credit, if you've completed some of the actions. Just accept the challenge, step away, and then recheck that you've completed the challenge. It will give you credit for what you've completed, but not the live challenges.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an awesome game even with the crashes and any experienced PC gamers know to save often with multiple saves to get around any bugs it's very common with PC games!
I love this game so much and one thing I don’t see videos emphasize enough is how badass the defense potion is when fully upgraded. It makes every fight so much easier when you can reflect tons of damage and inflict damage automatically every time you take a hit.
Just bought this cuz it's on sale I was really hoping this channel had something on this game. Having lots of fun with this game. It's like the best version of the new assassin's Creed games. Been having a blast with this and Hades. You guys are my go-to for games now
I really love Immortals Fenyx Rising. Such a superb game I'm having so much fun playing, what a quality game. Great video, really helpful stuff thanks.
@@LegacyGamingUS Very true it is a quality game that does seem to be starting to get more attention now that other titles have been played and not quite to standard. It makes a real gem like Immortals Fenyx Rising really stand out for how fantastic it is, that its this good and most did not realise till they played.
"Wish I Knew Sooner" > understatement. Boy, the first time collecting 200 pomegranates sure would have gone faster with this video. Still don't know what the max is.
Thankfully I got the armor thats in the video by chance of runnin into the dungeon, but a few tips I didnt know, or didnt know how useful it was (which is rare in those types of videos) real effort from the content creator instead of the dumb "10 things you should know if you dont understand videogames, collect stuff on the ground, loot chests blah blah", great stuff, subbed
loving this game. Remapping a few of the controls (looking at you double jump) does help. One thing I wish I would have done earlier is getting the Axe Cleave skill. This little jump/hit combo has been a game changer for putting on stun & damage without needing stamina. Add the axe that buffs this and I'm knocking out a ton more enemies. Also... max out Godly Hammer asap.
the charged axe attack, where you just hold the axe trigger? I like that combo too. I'm using it with the Phosphor Stun boost and the helmet that can triple air damage and stun. Axe them to stun, then jump and sword combo them to pieces!
For future reference, you may want to look into the pronunciation differences between brazier and brassiere. One holds lighted coals. The other holds something entirely different.
Super late to the discussion here but I started this game recently and love it, but one I wanted to point out about the arrow challenge is you don’t have to waste stamina pots on them, they don’t require you to complete them in one pass. If you need to refresh your stamina or just accidentally miss one, you can shoot through the first ring and then go directly to where you left off and keep going. Any ring already hit doesn’t need to be hit again. (This is only for the arrow challenges in the world, vaults and such may or may not work the same depending on the mechanics . )
I'm playing the game right now, and it's really fun. I love the background art in the game as well. As a big fan of Greek mythology, I feel like Typhon deserves more respect, love, and admiration. He’s one of my favorite monsters and figures in Greek myth, and I just love his lore and story overall.
I wasn't expecting it to be this good I was expecting a crappy Zelda rip off but I've played a few hours and it feels like it can stand on its own two feet like how saints row took the same formula from the gta games with open world and shit I feel like they did that with botw and it works because we don't have that for PlayStation or X Box this is just an amazing game and can't wait to see how the story wraps up loving the gameplay
This game is incredible. Best Ubisoft game in a long time. I bought AC Valhalla and I stopped before I got halfway through it, I bought this and I can’t put it down.
Been wandering around aimlessly with this game for a year. I got to the "hub" where you can craft stuff. The challenges are pretty fun, and frustrating at times. Though honestly I have no idea what I'm doing. Thanks for the help.
I respect players that actually play games with mouse and keyboard. I'm going to be a pc gamer and I tried mouse and keyboard on call of duty and let me tell you is not easy.
You can change time from day to night and the other way round by pressing & holding "options" button for PS4 - comes handy if you want to open night chest or reset given puzzle
You forgot to mention that in arrow challenges, if you stay on platform switch, you don't have to ignite every ring with one arrow. Can try again and again and just complete ring not yet ignited.
Have played 51hrs & just finishing clearing all of the 3rd area. I love the game & like to 100% complete clear these types of games. Still have more regions to unlock & have fully upgraded all my gear. Upgraded gear makes a huge difference & godly skills continue to increase after you fully upgrade them. Another tip is certain regions of the map provide more of certain resources ie Pomegranates in Valley of Eternal Spring, Golden Amber in War’s Den etc. This allows you to quickly stock up.
Same. I prefer the accessibility of this. I didn’t like sliding down a mountain because it’s raining or the clothing etc. I prefer the combat mechanics to be the reason if I do well or not.
I just started playing this game over the weekend. I noticed that when going to a vault, some will have monsters, some don’t. But if you don’t feel like dealing with them, you can hop in the vault and once completed, the monsters are gone when you come out. I thought that was pretty awesome.
Loved this game. I mean, it’s a typical Ubisoft open world title with endless content and quests, but it’s just really well done and fun. It took a a few hours to like the story but once you get into the mood it’s so much fun and really gets you into the Greek god lore.
I think the most important tip that was never shown (that I finally discovered watching a youtube video because I was stuck in a vault), is the fact that you can triple jump with Ares Wrath. That is essential in getting your hands on many hidden chest in some vaults, and is also required to gain access to one specific vault. Combining Ares Wrath with Athena's Dash will MASSIVELY upgrade your mobility. And those do not have a real cooldown; as long as you have stamina, you can keep going. So you can really reach some places that looked impossible to get to.
- Enemies Scale (according to ones Health, Skils, Godly Powers and Progress) - One can use „X“ to dash - The axe can be used to break weak walls - (Completed) Vaults of Tartaros can be used as Quick Travel Points - Open Chests. They give one ressources for upgrading weapons and gear (aside from Hermes' tasks) Seriously: i didn't knew of these until i was already a couple of hours into the game. And they weren't explained in the tutorial either
Holy shit this game is a blast, im playin on my xbox one s, and it runs smooth like a babys ass. The combat, is flawless, It reminds me of feeling like a growing warrior, the way vegeta feels when going from a mere mortal to feeling like an invincible god, like from getting badass loot to actually getting stronger and faster you get the more you train from getting zeus lighting, and leveling up your sword power, the game wants you to feel like this and they do an amazing job, haven't even started the dlc, and picked up the gold edition for 50 bucks. What a steal and what a game, The bosses feel like real threats and take technique to beat them. Just wow, what a game 15/10
I just got this game and I’m loving it ! I paid 40 bucks for base game plus season pass with the 3 DLCs. I already love the game, I’m playing only this one and I have tons installed on my PS5
If you don't already know with the arrow challenges, the rings don't reset if you run out of stamina. So if you run out of stamina halfway through your run, just shoot another arrow where you left off at and continue on.
It’s a bit buggy, and some of the controls/mechanics take some getting used to, but overall it’s a really fun game! I’m still in the early stages, but I’ve enjoyed myself so far. I’m not super picky when it comes games’ exact combat systems or anything, but I felt like this game did a good job with it! Fighting is fun and quick and weapon upgrades are genuinely really useful. The world itself is beautiful, and the story is fun and lighthearted. The narration is interesting and humorous, but not necessary enough that you feel like you miss anything if you’re distracted. It seems like an inclusive game as well - there are references to gay relationships and a non-binary person pretty early on, which, while small, was a nice change of pace from some games with less positive views on such things. Overall, I’m having fun with it, and I definitely recommend it, especially for people who play games pretty casually like myself! For people who are more picky and focused on certain aspects of games, I would recommend buying it secondhand or waiting for it to go on sale, just in case. Have fun everyone!
well put. I'm pleasantly surprised in just about every way possible. Graphics are slighlty too cartoonish for my preference but that's a small gripe in the grand scheme of things! I'm especially liking all the little QoL improvements that they clearly picked up from playing BotW a bunch lol
Got first round to the end yesterday, it took about fifty hours. Of course new game+ started about right away. One of the best surprises in years. For me, Ubi-Soft has been more like "no-no", after this I'll take AC Odyssey from my shelf and give it a new start. Loved this!
Yea this game seems to be overlooked. I decided to try out nightmare mode... what a lul that was. working on the 100% trophy for ps4 at the moment. Loving everything about this game. Loved BotW and AC, and this combines the elements of both games. I have nothing bad to say about it. The game definitely delivers!
I literally JUST beat this game last night and I naturally did most of this without the video, I was trying to find that brood helmet, atm im just using the automaton set for that def boost

Used my CP2077 refund to get this game. Great choice!
Same here
Same for me. il get cp2077 again when its fixed
Cyberpunk 2077 is an awesome game even with the crashes and any experienced PC gamers know to save often with multiple saves to get around any bugs it's very common with PC games!
Same
Me too.🤣 I'm loving this game so far. Not at all disappointed.
You guys are my go-to for games now
games
In my eyes, the trojan/greek armor is the best for me because it gives you an entire stamina chunk so it comes in handy.
I really love Immortals Fenyx Rising. Such a superb game I'm having so much fun playing, what a quality game. Great video, really helpful stuff thanks.
Glad you’re enjoying the game and that the video helped! It’s a fantastic title we think too many people missed in 2020
@@LegacyGamingUS Very true it is a quality game that does seem to be starting to get more attention now that other titles have been played and not quite to standard.
One of the best IFR starter tips video's I've seen yet! Appreciate all the good info. Game is freaking addicting.
Glad you enjoy it!
@@LegacyGamingUS Thanks!
As for mounts you can get Pegasus from the starting prologue area it has 3 stam bars too.
Can't believe Ubisoft did such a great game after years of disappointments after disappointments.
I was high af when this man said the horse mount name "indica" had to rewind lol
I did the same thing lmao
Your parents must be so very proud lol
Isis is the name of an Egyptian Goddess... and a terrorist group... and I think a metal band.
Early grind was key! Made enemies easier to get through while pushing forward
For future reference, you may want to look into the pronunciation differences between brazier and brassiere. One holds lighted coals. The other holds something entirely different.
Lol good point!
Love this tittle so far especially it cross save feature on pc and switch
Big fans of all things mythology as well. Cant wait for the Age of Mythology remake to be done.
Just picked this game up to fill time before I get my hands on skyward sword and oh my lord there sooooo much to do. I’m having an absolute blast
In terms of mythological gaming on PS4, GOD OF WAR 2018 comes to mind.
You can spawn your mount and use it as weight for the weight platforms
Thanks for the tip just started playing on gamepass amazing game
Just picked this game up today. Gonna follow your tips. Thank you!
As a pc gamer for years, I respect console players. I tried going for a controller in an fps and its not easy. 🤷♂️
@@grzo6917 Mad respect! For getting a controller.
You can change time from day to night and the other way round by pressing & holding "options" button for PS4 - comes handy if you want to open night chest or reset given puzzle
There's also a steel Pegasus i wanna say in the clashing rocks area that was my first mount and it has 3 bars
Yet it can't fly nor glide.. a pity ... (yeah I know it would break the game mechanics ...)
You forgot to mention that in arrow challenges, if you stay on platform switch, you don't have to ignite every ring with one arrow. Can try again and again and just complete ring not yet ignited.
Honestly didn't even know that was a thing! That seems like a potential bug haha
Thats really helpful, thanks!
I'm approaching 25 hours and still haven't opened the second area.
I bought my stepson a ps4. He played the demo. I ended up buying it. I play it more than he does now lol
I am enjoying this game so much more than I did Breath of the Wild.
Same. I prefer the accessibility of this. I didn’t like sliding down a mountain because it’s raining or the clothing etc. I prefer the combat mechanics to be the reason if I do well or not.
That’s incorrect

@@LegacyGamingUS oh awesome thanm you!
Dang!! This would be an amazing birthday gift for myself!
I picked it up for only 40 bucks and I love it.
This game should not be forgotten it is a pearl of a game i love it!!!
I just started playing this game over the weekend. I noticed that when going to a vault, some will have monsters, some don’t. But if you don’t feel like dealing with them, you can hop in the vault and once completed, the monsters are gone when you come out. I thought that was pretty awesome.
Thanks. I started the game a few weeks ago And i must say it is a great game. Try every side quest so far and collecting pretty much.
OMG! I have played for 40 hours + and this is the first time I see those stamina orbs :O
This games amazing, its just perfect,Im loving it.
For everyone who still in doubt, i really recommend guys, this game is a blast
Loved this game. I mean, it’s a typical Ubisoft open world title with endless content and quests, but it’s just really well done and fun. It took a a few hours to like the story but once you get into the mood it’s so much fun and really gets you into the Greek god lore.
Definitely agree. Livid is a huge fan of mythology in general
I just downloaded this game, glad I found this upload before I start my gaming…
I think the most important tip that was never shown (that I finally discovered watching a youtube video because I was stuck in a vault), is the fact that you can triple jump with Ares Wrath.
That is essential in getting your hands on many hidden chest in some vaults, and is also required to gain access to one specific vault. Combining Ares Wrath with Athena's Dash will MASSIVELY upgrade your mobility. And those do not have a real cooldown; as long as you have stamina, you can keep going. So you can really reach some places that looked impossible to get to.
Loving this game, really fun. this is a well put together video with top tips- thank you!
Subbed and upvoted, thanks guys.
I like the boar armor. So much. Suits my playstyle and reminds me of demon slayer. It's the helmet that's why lol.
I know I'm 3 years late, but thanks for the video. I've decided to finally go fully through this game and this was very helpful.
Glad we could help! We really enjoyed this game.
This game is fantastic. I didn't give it the time of day before but I'm playing it now and I love it!
I just started playing this game and I absolutely love it.
- Enemies Scale (according to ones Health, Skils, Godly Powers and Progress)
- One can use „X“ to dash
- The axe can be used to break weak walls
- (Completed) Vaults of Tartaros can be used as Quick Travel Points
- Open Chests. They give one ressources for upgrading weapons and gear (aside from Hermes' tasks)
Seriously: i didn't knew of these until i was already a couple of hours into the game. And they weren't explained in the tutorial either
January 2023 and I'm playing this hidden gem!
Holy shit this game is a blast, im playin on my xbox one s, and it runs smooth like a babys ass. The combat, is flawless,
It reminds me of feeling like a growing warrior, the way vegeta feels when going from a mere mortal to feeling like an invincible god, like from getting badass loot to actually getting stronger and faster you get the more you train from getting zeus lighting, and leveling up your sword power, the game wants you to feel like this and they do an amazing job, haven't even started the dlc, and picked up the gold edition for 50 bucks. What a steal and what a game, The bosses feel like real threats and take technique to beat them. Just wow, what a game 15/10
I just got this game and I’m loving it ! I paid 40 bucks for base game plus season pass with the 3 DLCs. I already love the game, I’m playing only this one and I have tons installed on my PS5
his is actually really helpful way better than other tips videos
lost my interest in AC and watchdog series but this one catches my eye. didnt regret buying it
How does this fare compared to Odyssey though? Odyssey took me long to finish as i had to take long breaks as i simply lost interest.
If you don't already know with the arrow challenges, the rings don't reset if you run out of stamina. So if you run out of stamina halfway through your run, just shoot another arrow where you left off at and continue on.
I was completely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of collectibles and challenges. One thing at a time I guess.
Just started playing this game. Its gorgeous and thebfun factor is high. Has a comedy element too. The characters are funny.
I’m 3 years late from this video…. But this game is an amazing gem 💎
Here’s hoping for a sequel. One can dream huh.
Just got the game. Made it to The Hall of The Gods and upgraded a few things. It's a fun time so far. Lots of things to do.
It is so much easier taming these horses compared to BOTW!!!
They looked at BOTW, noticed it's flaws, and made it multiplatform.
Just finished the prologue. Keen to really get into the game 🙂
Thanx for the tips
Anytime! Really hope you enjoy it!
The prologue is 20% of the game lol
22 hours in and love it! My first RPG was soul reaver! Yes I’m that old 😁
Got first round to the end yesterday, it took about fifty hours. Of course new game+ started about right away. One of the best surprises in years. For me, Ubi-Soft has been more like "no-no", after this I'll take AC Odyssey from my shelf and give it a new start. Loved this!
This was a huge help for my playthrough!
The zeus armor is insane when paired with the starting axe and sword.
I literally JUST beat this game last night and I naturally did most of this without the video, I was trying to find that brood helmet, atm im just using the automaton set for that def boost
Seems like such an underrated/overlooked game
