Hit the woods! Remember, they might've been fields or homes or even pubs 1500 years ago! Yes, you'll have to dig through roots and whatnot but, that keeps others out too! Either way love, just keep digging, you're a breath of fresh air!
That's a fabulous find for Chris. Fantastic video as usual dawn. I found one too, last weekend... Pierced as well. It's on Grif-finds video this weekend.
Hi Dawn , people don't realize just how hard it can be to put out a detecting video every week. They don't see the hunts that didn't turn up much .Then there is the editing and uploading . You do a fine job .
You got that right! I bet ive been out 4 times this month that i couldnt put a video together from it. Ive put a video out most Tuesdays for 8 years, its a lot of work, but its pleasurable if people enjoy them :-)
Ah Dawn if anyone can make nothing exciting it's you. It's great to see you out and having the crack. And yes you are so right about the trying to find a decent place to dig in the summer. Your garden looks lovely and colourful. Thanks so much for all the effort you put in to your videos. Your joy is always so infectious. You are one in a million.😊👍
Taikuu, Taikuu, Taikuu Dawn, for going out in good times and in the slow times. We enjoy your "Dance" but we also are on the edge of our seats waiting for the next one also. 🤗🤗
@@DiggerDawn Nope. The pattern in the Los Angeles area and the Inland Empire (where I live - Corona) is May Gray, then June Gloom, and (for us-then) temps in the mid 90’s to 100 to 110. Have a great weekend! Your videos always cheer me up. Thanks! 🙂😎
Enjoyed the video as usual 👍 got a new permission a few weeks ago near Garstang, went yesterday, was like digging concrete but found an Eddie 1st hammered, chuffed to bits!
Dawn you are amazing and I love watching your videos. You always shine your way into my heart 💜 no matter what type of video you produce. I bet you didn’t realize that you are not just a detectorist you are also a great person! Also a producer of your own work. How fantastic is that? Have a wonderful week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Your squished ring thing w/ a lump almost reminds me of a snake biting it's tail? " Ouroboros" a snipit in wikepedia has something about the spanish cultural symbol . /The hake biting it's tail??? far fetched but thought I'd throw it out there. Always love your videos, ty.
I just phoned him to ask he said "They are British Army boots, he said search ebay for YDS Kestral they are around £35 for grade A (New) he said "they are they best boots Ive ever bought"
Annular brooches are often made of bronze Dawn I found a knights Templar pilgrim brooch with a Latin inscription around the outside still with the pin that’s in incredible condition which is made of bronze
I can find no evidence of it but I don't doubt that yr fight to some extent.all monarchs had a few non well wishers. Liz 1at coins were nearly all poorly struck until milling came into use.
too thick and wonky to be not at least saxon old, your "ring-thing-gone-bad" and by the broken surface at 3:14 (between index finger and thumb tip)you can see how deep the patina reaches - that's proper old ! all my annular and penannular brooches are made of bronze or copper and I wish they were all made of silver.... looks also a bit like some simple oval buckles from around 500-900 that I have (except for its missing narrower strap-bar section)

Dawn, I'd watch a video of you just sitting at the pub with Chris or by yourself simply talking about...stuff.
How lovely, I often think Id should do more videos of things I do. I might just :-)
Whenever I see one of your videos Dawn I see a stunning precious treasure.
Thanks so much 😊
Love watching you find anything ❤

Perhaps we can do an "Interview With a Detectorist".
Fun video! Love that coin!
Whoa what a find! Well done, subbed. Keep swinging
Thanks for the sub!
IN the States, your electrical devise is called a Ring Terminal.
Yes ring terminal over here too
It might be part of an earring. Looks good anyway. Good luck and good hunting. Just seeing you is reward enough.👍♥️
Aww thanks Dennis...
Dawn I have to correct you - you can make “finding nothing” exciting! 😍 - love your detecting and not top of the pops videos! 😁
So cool good job
Nice to have a relic. Armada times?. Might be why the person pierced it, to keep it for memories.
sometimes they kept coins on a string, or sometimes they were used as necklace pendants
Yay a ring thing lol great day out, take care 👍🙏❤️ ps package arrived, thank you ❤️❤️
Oh fantastic, sorry it took so long!
@@DiggerDawn all good hon, as you know I had much more on my mind. Thank you 🙏❤️🤗

Hi Dawn could you ask Chris who makes his boots ,they look pretty comfy
I just phoned him to ask he said "They are British Army boots, he said search ebay for YDS Kestral they are around £35 for grade A (New) he said "they are they best boots Ive ever bought"

Dawn perhaps when you were in Louisiana you could have gotten some serious bug spray!!!
skin so soft was classed as a good one by the Louisianna guys!!
Heck yeah we’d watch you water your flowers. 😅
hahhaha that might actually happen over summer haha
Now I've got an image of Chris's shiny head and knobby knees in my head for the rest of the day 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Wrong about Lizzie the 1at . One of England's most loved monarchs..
they still rubbed her face off
I can find no evidence of it but I don't doubt that yr fight to some extent.all monarchs had a few non well wishers. Liz 1at coins were nearly all poorly struck until milling came into use.

In the first hole too BOOM haha
@@DiggerDawn LOL
Love your videos good finds or not. True detectorists dont find treasure everytime. If they do the videos are probably fake.
Thanks for that. Yeah sometimes I look and think oh no, everyone's finding things except me, but in reality we know that's not always the case.
Where is your favorite place to metal detecting ps did you every find rare silver coins
Nothing stunningly rare although I have coins dating back to 220ad.
