The Evolution of Amrit Yoga

In 1970, during a routine practice of yoga postures, Yogi Amrit Desai experienced a spontaneous awakening of energy in his body that revolutionized his understanding and practice of Yoga. He has dedicated his life to being the vehicle for this energy, transmitting and empowering others to experience the essence of Yoga and integrate it in every area of life. This short video includes a rare demonstration of Yogi Desai's Posture Flow - the surrendered practice of yoga postures, where the innate intelligence of life energy in the body directly guides movements and body positions. The video also highlights Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, the organization Yogi Desai founded, as well as Amrit Yoga Institute, where he currently guides seekers to enter the Zero Stress Zone through the Integrative Amrit Methods (I AM) of Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Quantum Breath Meditation, and Ayurvedic detoxification.
