Nice looking and compact. Would liked to have heard more of the kit though!
The front resonant single-ply head is very necessary on this pancake bass drum. Better to leave it intact. You can mic either side, no hole or port needed.
Think you don’t even need the 14 crash. 16 and 18 sound great! Drums all sound amazing. Well done

I think these sound good. I’m using the Club Jam “full size” set up, with the Tama Classic Hardware with similar success.

Does that clamp mark or otherwise damage the Aluminum cymbal stand? I have Crosstowns and am thinking of getting the Pancakes.
No, not for me at all. Granted I haven’t taken it off and had a look. But it hasn’t indented it or anything at this point.
It look nice and sound just mmm ok, I think for the same price the Ludwig Questlove pocket kit have better sound and better look too.
Fair enough-- I’ve gigged with the Questlove’s and I prefer these.
To each their own.
