  • I debated for weeks if I should show this video at his wake. I decided to do it in the end, and i'm glad I did.
If this video makes at least one person happy, remind them of times with him, or taught you something you didn't know about him, then it was worth doing.
It took me about two months to make, and actually started recording this and compiling footage while he was still alive.
This shows who he was, and his battles with Cancer.
Home Video footage - Dave & Maggie Rawling.
Camera Operator, Audio, DP, Lighting, Editing, Colouring, Story - Simon Rawling.

Just wanted to offer our condolences for your loss. We lived across the road from you all in Barcote before moving to New Zealand in 2008 and remember Dave fondly. He was the first person in the street to welcome us when we moved in and always made a point of saying Hello and chatting & joking. This video was a really nice thing to do, thank you for making it available. Kind regards, Neil & Helen

That was very deep. I worked with Alex down at Lidl Union Street and after seeing both videos that were done your dad seemed like an amazing guy, really wish I could have met him. Thank You for uploading this, even though I only know Alex and never met your dad or anyone else in the family this was amazing to watch and it was so heartfelt. I wish your family all the best and cherish all those memories you do have together.

Thanks for taking the time to write the comment Mr (or Mrs) No name :) I'm sure when the family read this they will be happy to see how even people he hadn't met, felt impelled to comment :)

25 Media I'm a Mr Alex Heasman. Your Alex will know :) I wanted to watch it as I like to think Alex is a great friend, so easy to get along with as it would seem your dad was exactly the same with whoever he met. So many moments made me smile. If I ever get the chance to meet you all I would love to, you all seem like a great bunch :)
