There have actually been smaller beard molds than the newer style santa beard, the ones that come to mind are the moustache (part number 15439) and the prospector beard (15501), although getting an entirely new niche beard mold would be wishful thinking
The only other Dune set I really feel like would be especially great to have is Paul’s fight with Feyd-Rautha, so that we can get a stillsuit Paul with blue eyes.

The new movie adaptation is definitely a dumbed-down version of the books (I've never read the books, but that's what I've heard) and makes the story much more understandable and engaging. Well worth the watch! I think once you watch the movie, it'll have you more interested in picking up those beautiful books again.

It is a lot. I definitely had to watch the movie a second time for things to start making sense. I watched a really good lore video too just before making this video which helped me appreciate it all even more!
I still hope that someday we will get a set from an R rated movie somehow. Just imagine different variants of Xenomorphs from the alien franchise, a Prometheus expedition ship or the Engineer Juggernout
I think the minifigures in this set are really interesting. While id prefer several of the characters in different outfits, they give you enough so that you can mix & match as you prefer. Maybe I need to rewatch Dune, but I didn’t quite understand what made it so special. That being said I think this set is very beautiful and would be a good display piece.
I will say I just rewatched it again prior to scripting this video, and it really is pretty awesome. Seeing it in theaters was incredible. I still prefer Blade Runner 2049, but Dune is an equal visual treat! I didn't know anything about the books or movie before seeing the new one, but that world really sparked my imagination. idk, I'm definitely rambling, but I guess I'm trying to say you should give it another go!
Maybe there's a couple things I can point out if you don't already know them. For one thing, anything you think Dune reminds you of, exists because Dune inspired that thing. Dune came before all it's derivatives. And I will strongly argue that neither Star Wars nor Game of Thrones nor Tremors nor Avatar etc etc come close to the depth of the philosophy of Dune. Ok ASOIAF is able to compete and outrank Dune in some ways but still, everything that Dune inspired ALWAYS only take the surface layer and never tackles what the full series actually explores. The book's mysteries and conundrums are more interesting than the surface. And secondly the difference between a full 1.43:1 IMAX screening and literally anything else is like the two different movies. That is how the image is framed and edited to be seen. It's an overwhelming canvas you have to tilt your head to look around. Tho a good DOLBY theatre sound system is similarly good for levelling up the sound too.
Im incredibly disappointed in the Dune set. I would have loved a Dune Lego set, but it's unnecessarily huge, overdesgned and most importantly: ugly. Most of these problems would have been solved by having it be the size of a regular lego helicopter to star wars spaceship. Speaking of the minifigs, Im disappointed they didn't use the headphone hairpiece from Poe Dameron for the Duke. The Gurney fig doesn't bare a lot of resemblance to the actor. And I certainly wish to get at least one more stillsuit, so youll be able to pose the whole squad. But Paul is missing a double sided face with the little nose tube for that.
The nice thing about this set is that it would be really easy to modify to make it look a bit nicer! The hard part has been done - the incredible functions.
The Paul Minifigure looks more like the version from 1984, and I like it.
I wonder if that was almost intentional 🤔

Quite a few people have said that. I'm almost starting to think the designers made that choice intentionally now xD
Gotta love it when LEGO stacks a set with incredible minifigs. Gonna be a Day 1 purchase for me.
It's kinda like Rivendell - the designers knew this was their one chance so they went and gave us everyone they could! I love it!
I like the set but i didnt like the movie( well i liked it but its nothing more than the david lynch movie )
I've gotta check out the David Lynch movie at some point. Looks WILD
The new Dune movie is carried by visuals and the old lore. Still a good movie but will be ruined if the second chapter turns out to be bad/worse.
It's ~Timothée Chalemet~ , not Timothy Sharlemay 😌

😂😂😂
How many times did you have to listen to a video with Villeneuve being spoken aloud? I still don't know how to say it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
LOL bro that's too funny you said that, because I totally listened to the first three seconds of him in that "Breaking Down a Scene" video and I still feel I totally screwed it up 🤣
@@CheeseyStudios HAHAHA
Gurney halleck is my favorite minifigure
He looks sooooo good! The armor is just epic
Love the detail
They did a really great job with these.
Still a fan of the orginal Dune.. but the remake was really good. Great looking ship
I really do need to watch the original at some point.
I can see thise bodies being really useful for Star Wars Figbarfs, but they are definitely going to cost a pretty penny.
So true! Very curious to see what the aftermarket prices are gonna be too. scary stuff ._.
It's the cinematography, world-building, lore, and characters. It really is a masterpiece of a film and book series.
@@CheeseyStudios I would get rid of the function entirely and rather have a X-Wing sized Ornithopter as a set. It ain't worth it.
the movie was awful but the set looks pretty epic!
Book fan I take it? 🤣
My garl friend hate dune…………
