    well everyone talking about how dominant the US is nowadays, but I would say in 2005 they were even more dominant taking every women title except for vault and a couple of silver medals as well.
    Nastia is great here!!!

      In London she was sad.

      In London I think she felt angry and betrayed because it was the Karolys (Bela and Marta) who encouraged Aly's coach to submit an inquiry, which was accepted, tied with Cata, beating her to 4th place.

    I’m not gonna lie- to see Ponors reaction- after kicking the Americans butts a year earlier in Athens- this was sweet! I love Catalina, but she knew the competition would be fierce from the Americans.

    Well, the 2 back layouts don't give much in the CoP, and I think she said once in an interview that she was too tall or something, that would explain why in 2007 and maybe early 2008 she would add a back pike to her layout

    @algae787 and she did it extremely well at the 2006 pacific alliance. Anyway, it would no have scored a 9.75-9.8 had she done a 2 1/2, because her start value would have dropped by a tenth, so she still most likely would have scored in the 9.6 range.

    RE: Catalina.... Remember, ladies, those cameras are EVERYWHERE!. You're not going to look like a good sport if you give The Death Stare to all the girls who beat you out. If you have to look bad on camera, pick your nose or something, but at least keep your expression neutral.

    @adla0nastia Pretty perfect until the dismount. That 3/1 was never a good idea. The best she ever did it was 2006 Nats. That routine would have scored 9.75-9.80 with a 2.5 dismount.

    • @emmsy9295
      @emmsy9295 3 года назад +5

      Because Chellsie Memmel had form problems on literally every single skill - bent legs, flexed feet, lack of 180, low chest.
      Nastia is textbook on every skill except for the dismount.
