Will someone run for office and change the laws so people ((who don't live within walking distance to a bus stop and have lower income than the average)) won't have to pay anything for car insurance.

@@Tylnorton You are entirely wrong. There is an exceptionally high correlation between your credit score and your driving history/propensity to incur an accident wherein costs will be passed on to the auto insurance company. Auto insurance companies have used credit scores in the pricing models for the past couple decades. Same drill for life insurance and other factors as well. All correlated, at least partially, to your credit score.
As to auto insurance costs in general.... They are the highest category of increase amongst all of the individual sectors of the CPI market basket. Up 19.2% for the 12 months ending November 30, 2023. But, yes..... Whether you are aware of it or not, your credit score impacts your credit score. Depends on the given company as to how much. As an aside, my tri-merge FICO is 827, and my insurance increased roughly 20% this past year. Still pretty low since I drive a 2022 Hyundai SEL (inexpensive, basic/standard, 4-door car), but yes..... My insurance went from $625 per 6 months to $750 per 6 months here with the bill I received a couple weeks ago. Peace.

@@bossbrent yes it varies by state, I was paying $480 in Massachusetts 6 months ago, now I live in California and I’m paying $291 same car, same coverage. Insurance is based off a lot of things such as weather, road conditions and your own personal driving history. So for example if you live somewhere it doesn’t snow insurance is going to be cheaper than some who lives in somewhere it snows. So if you never move outta Georgia you’ll never know if it’s cheaper somewhere else

    • @bossbrent

@@floridanick8434 while that's true, when people mention cost being more or less, it's always relative to the cost of living in that area or region
For example, for one to say that $400 is cheaper than $500 is nonsense if average monthly income in the area that's $400 is $2800 (14%) vs average monthly income in the area that's $500 is $5000 (10%).
      In short, everything's relative!
