Also, his entire drum kit is set up such that the drums are very far apart, requiring extra physical effort to play. Pretty silly, but ergonomics weren’t really at top of mind in those days.

I think it was a Fender Stratocaster that was modded outside of the factory. Definitely not a production piece. Imagine the weight was less than five pounds and east on the back. I was wondering about the possibility of neck drives. I remember Joe Sanitri had some guitars ( Ibanez ) with holes and handles in them.

God also gave us Midnight Special. It's 50 years ago! These are precious recordings just as they are. As well as the rare access to seeing the great bands of the day besides in concert. No, people were not complaining about the lip sinking back then.
