One important and known Trailing Stop method is related to the ATR which is the Chandelier Method developed by Charles Lebeau. It goes with you comment about tightening your trailing stop when the movement is loosing momentum. When momentum is reducing, such is the ATR.
*You're a legend Mark, thanks for this video. I swear you're some sort of mind reader. When I plan on doing a trailing stop loss for a swing trade I always had them too tight and missed out on the big gains*
Thank you for this insightful video. I came here because yet again I closed in a small profit today after setting a TSL at the start of my trade and didn't understand why it didn't lock in the highest amount, but came down to a low profit. Your explanation makes so much sense. P.S. I also set it to close at 5 points a pip, which I've now extended to 30. I have removed my SL and as soon as I my trades enter profits I'll start locking them in with a TSL.
Regardless if I'm fully fluent in most things discussed, big kudos to your channel and your daily reminders. Your channel is literally addicting for touching up trading knowledge and I look forward to your content, everyday.

Great video. I personally like to trail the stop loss with the supertrend. I optimized the strategy by using different parameters of the supertrend.
As always, great video.
gem of a video, thanks.
Fantastic video, always look forward to your views
Thanks Mark
Thoughts on using the Parabolic SAR as the stop loss Mark? Currently playing around with the idea to see how it compares to other stop loss methods.
Need a VPN to run a trailing stop or the system has to be on all the time as turning off the computer results in the trailing stop terminating?
