Watching this in 2020, this is a validation that the Raps won because of their team effort, not only because of one person. To date, Raptors are on the 2nd seed in Eastern conference despite the adversities/injuries. This team has great depth. Very resilient & elite D. They will be in the playoffs. That’s for sure.
Yes it was a team effort but Kawhi was clearly better than the rest of the team and it showed throughout their playoff run. Kawhi gave the team a newfound confidence during the second series after that they started playing like gangbusters esp once he got injured in the mil series.

Adding kawhi completed all the pieces for the raptors. This run was a whole team coming together and knowing each other’s spots on the team and playing them 100%. As a Cavs fan I was cheering for Toronto from the bucks series onward (I woulda watched their entire playoff run but I was lazy but I still supported them throughout) I watched games 4-6 and I was crushed when they lost game 5 but then happy VanVleet took over the 4th and helped them close it out I was happy for Toronto and whoever lives up north in the city congrats guys u deserved it big time

For sure. Some great storylines. Tor's got a good chance with homecourt, momentum and if the coaches can game plan/adjust like they did in this series. Will they be fatigued from not having as much rest as GS? On the flipside, don't know what kind of GS we'll see. Will they stay hot or start out cold from the long rest? Curry has proven to be cold at bad times but I can see them coming out strong with not only extra motivation to 3peat, win with or without KD...but also closing out Oracle with a title win.

Bucks fan here. First off congrats to Toronto! A few observations from this whole series: Kawhi played like Michael Jordan throughout the whole series! Shot almost 90% from the charity strike as well! Giannis did what he could despite being double teamed and triple teamed. His teammates didn't do much to take some of the pressure off of him. My two gripes with Giannis is his free throw shooting and his turnovers throughout the series. Also the Bucks blew way too many leads and went ice cold in stretches throughout the series. Good luck against the Warriors Toronto, I do hope you dethrone them and once again congratulations on making history.

For sure. Some great storylines. Tor's got a good chance with homecourt, momentum and if the coaches can game plan/adjust like they did in this series. Will they be fatigued from not having as much rest as GS? On the flipside, don't know what kind of GS we'll see. Will they stay hot or start out cold from the long rest? Curry has proven to be cold at bad times but I can see them coming out strong with not only extra motivation to 3peat, win with or without KD...but also closing out Oracle with a title win.

Bucks fan here. First off congrats to Toronto! A few observations from this whole series: Kawhi played like Michael Jordan throughout the whole series! Shot almost 90% from the charity strike as well! Giannis did what he could despite being double teamed and triple teamed. His teammates didn't do much to take some of the pressure off of him. My two gripes with Giannis is his free throw shooting and his turnovers throughout the series. Also the Bucks blew way too many leads and went ice cold in stretches throughout the series. Good luck against the Warriors Toronto, I do hope you dethrone them and once again congratulations on making history.

Wow, what an amazing comeback by the Raptors. Happy to see that the Warriors are going to have a tough time against Kawhi and this surprising Raptors team. The Bucks also played a great series, but in the end, the Raptors were the more consistent team. I would love to see the city of Toronto's reaction to the Raptors winning their first championship in franchise history.

If by "tough time" you mean GS winning the series in five or six games, then yes - they will have a tough time. I like this Toronto team, but unless they magically find a way to score about 20 more points per game they have no shot against Golden State
