Despite being a language that I can barely begin to understand and one that not many even know exists let alone speak fluently, I am immediately infatuated. The girl singing this, Lauren McGlynn, is actually the daughter of the composer and former of the band she’s in which is called Anúna, Michael McGlynn.
It’s a beautiful song, I just keep hearing Mecano’s Hijo de la Luna in it (which is awesome, and meant as a compliment). This feels like an Irish version of that song to me (as someone who doesn’t understand a single word of these beautiful Gaelic sounds). The melody, and the feeling though, 1:1, absolutely spot on for me. Lovely reference, and Child of the Moon (what Hijo de la Luna translates to) absolutely fits Cereza’s first adventure IMO.
Being Scottish myself hearing Irish Celtic music warms my heart. More games need to use this kinda beautiful music along with fairytale stories/settings :-)
