It was a man working delivery and was driving his motorcycle, he saw the cat in the middle of the road . Unfortunately we weren't able to find the cat as despite the injuries he had , he managed to run away and got hidden , inside a pipe as qe found out later.
5 days later we finally were able to offer him the help he needed.
We named him Lionel.
He survived all the difficulties.
He has been through hell for days , for the first 5 days that he was helpless , unable to eat or drink water , in pain , in fear .
We all wanted so much to see him healthy again and able to eat and drink water , that simple thing that every live creature needs.
No words can describe our feelings when that time came .
Our goal now is to find for him an adoption and a great life .
Every animal deserves a good life.

This is beyond awful, why couldn't someone have picked that kitty off the road instead of just taking pictures. Poor cat ,imagine the pain for five days ,confused, cold ,in pain and hungry and thirsty.😢😢

Στον "αξιαγάπητο ανθρωπο οδηγο που το χτύπησε το ζωντανό ,το εγκατέλειψε και έφυγε,"φίλε" να σου τύχει και σένα το ίδιο και να σε παρατήσουν χτυπημένο στο δρόμο να αιμοραγεις
Και μη νομίζεις πως αυτό το κάνουν μόνο στα ζώα κάτι τύποι σαν εσένα ,και όχι σε μας τους ανώτερους ανθρώπους.

I had the same thought. It's unthinkable that the poor cat had to suffer alone when someone had been standing right there taking a video of him. So sad!!
As my own mother also that someone type, she think animal not worth to be saved and wasting money for them is a big no no not to mention they dirty. Even if they her pet, she doesnt think of them as family but rather a passing time toy, during my camping day, my cat got hit by car and she buried him when hes still alive! I even got slapped hard because I spent lot of money trying to cure my cat kidney diseases. She even sprout profanity if I give stray food. Animals not a living being and their life not equal to human to them.
Oh nooo. 😩that was a beating?! I thought it was a car collision! Oh why cant these monsters be arrested and serve real jail time?! 😖

They are so precious and have the same feelings as us. The only difference is they give unconditional love. I know. I have 8 rescue cats, all rescued from one bad situation or another. They are my family and whatever happened to them in the past, they have long forgotten. They know only love with me and my adult son who is also a cat lover. Even here in the UK we have our share of bad people.

The extend of his injuries is hard to watch. His suffering is unthinkable. At times I feel like the world is hell for these innocent animals. I'm thankful to Ermioni and other animal rescuers. The vet does a wonderful job. It's a miracle to see Lionel gradually gets well. He's a small cat but his will to live is mighty of a lion.
This precious cat looks like my precious cat that pass away I do miss him so much how can people hurt this precious animals that God put on this earth I always pray for all animals around the world 😢
How can people be so evil ??? Thank you, Ermioni and all the vets and anybody else who helped. That sweet kitty now has a life to live, and he is so grateful. God bless him and all of those involved in his rescue and recuperation.

Horrified at what happened to him. Horrified at his injuries. Deeply saddened and angry that someone did that to him but happy he was saved and will go on to live a good, happy life with a loving family.

@@ritadefilippo9274 Did you not watch the video? I know it was horrible to watch. The eye was so badly damaged, it had come out of his head and was rotten. Maggots were feeding from the eye and behind the eye. First the maggots were removed then the eye, which could not be saved, was removed. He'll be fine with one eye. Many cats lose an eye for one reason or another, some due to cat 'flu (happens a lot even in my country, the UK) and some to trauma as in this case. It is truly a miracle that he's still alive and thriving now. It's also heartwarming that he's so friendly despite the horrors he's been through. I hope this helps explain it for you.

OMG. I am surprised, and very happy this precious kitty survived. You and the vet staff are truly miracle workers. He loves you Ermioni, you should adopt him.
This cat was not beaten. It was hit by a car. The impact caused sudden internal pressure that pushed his left eyeball out of the socket. The doctors did an amazing job with surgical procedures! I pray this cat 🐈 gets a quality, indoor-only forever home.

@@LCLW63 They're all indoor cats now and have the freedom of the house plus their cat tree and other items that keep them happy. I have 4 black cats, 2 tabbies, 1 Tuxedo and a Ginger and White. They're all beautiful cats that are very loving and friendly.

Как можно было никому его не увидеть😢 я понимаю этот ужас,ибо в том году в августе нашла у частных домов кошечку,и история та же-глаз вылез из орбиты,запах гнили,перекошенгая челюсть😢то ли её сбила машина,и она приползла туда,то ли избили😢а она при этом ещё мурлыкала😢я так рыдала,забрала и отдала фонду,там её отправили в клинику,и сейчас слава богу почти всё хорошо,у неё есть некоторые проблемы с дыханием,и она почти не видит,а ещё лейкоз(((но она жива-это главное😢❤❤❤долгих лет котику и спасателям😢❤

I really did not think he would survive because of those terrible injuries and the maggots. He did and not only that, he is so loving and friendly despite what he's been through. I hope he finds a truly loving home. He deserves it. Thank you for rescuing him and giving him a chance of a happy life.

I truly have just seen a miracle.
We already know that Ermioni is a superhero (even that cast won't stop her). This cat had horrific circumstances & truly miraculous it survived all that time with such serious injuries. Her vet is a priceless treasure to the work DAR does on a daily basis. Bravo.
It is hard to believe this guy is alive?! The cat was so beaten, especially in his face, I cried for this poor, vulnerable cat! What a trooper! Who hurt such a small and delicate animal!?!?!? WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!? I'm so glad he is now protected and getting back to good health 💟 May he get the absolute kindest person to adopt him, and have nothing but love from here on out!!

This was hard to watch. The pain this poor cat has suffered is unimaginable. 😢 It's a miracle that he survived!! Friends of us who are rescuers as well have found several cats with maggot infested wounds and none of the cats survived despite all possible care from them and the vets. Thanks to all who helped save this poor boy & shame on those who hurt him and left him to fend for himself instead of trying to help him.
While the video was hard to watch, I did it anyway out of respect for the cat and those who saved him. That Ermioni still manged to help him despite her own suffering is a tribute to her commitment and compassion. His purrs, head butts and love bites of gratitude speak louder than words. 😇😇😇😇🐈🐾🏥💗
