I've just bought a Renaissance rackett. But there's no fingering chart and what happens when i cover the holes seems totally random. Anyone know where I could obtain information on how of play it?
Just come across your web page from a year ago. I made a great bass rackett from a kit supplied by the Rennaissance Workshop in Madrid which works well and have a finger chart for it if you still need one. rogerbush@onetel.com
If you get an Tenor-Alt Rackett in F, the fingering is the same as other instruments. 0 is the thumb hole, and 1234567 are the other normal fingers. C: 0 2 B: 0 1 A: 0 12 G: 0 123 F: 0 123 4 6 E: 0 123 45 D: 0 123 456 C: 0 123 456 7. To go under that you will use the other parts of the right finger 1. BB: 0 123 456 7 8 AA: 0 123 456 7 89 To do GG you will use the first part of your right pinky. GG: 0 123 456 7 899 If you have a Great Bass Rackett, you will do G without covering the other parts of your left first finger and covering the thumb hole, so G: 0 You will do F covering the first part of your first lerf finger, F: 0 / E: 0 /1 D: 0 /12 C: 0 /123 And that... I dont have a Great Bass, but from videos that i seen is that... I think Bass Rackettnuses the same fingering of Tenor Alt. The Cant Rackett is in G i think, i dont know the fingering. Soon i will know. Im late, you maybe know the fingerings at the moment, tell me if i am wrong.
What's my best bet if I want to get a rackett?

There is info available. We need more details. From whom did you buy it? Who made it?

@@BushRoger so did I. It’s painful to play though.
How good is that kit? I've been eyeing it for quite some while now.
