Its a wonder nobody has thought to make a Hag patron before as they are the perfect combination of mysterious, bloodthirsty & magical to bestow such offerings.
well the reason is because it's implied in the players handbook that you would just use a re-flavored archfey pact pretty much just re-flavor your magic as a creepy dark witchcraft sort of magic and there you go hags really do act the same as any other fey just with a strange love of bad things asking for a mechanical difference to go along with your flavoring is always meant to be allowed but none of the guidebooks mention it because that's something for the player and the dm to do whatever they want with describing it any better than i have would mostly just be limiting it
Agreed. While the Archfey patron “technically” includes hags…they certainly are in a class of their own. Much like how the Genie patron has enough going for it to justify it’s own subclass…instead of an “elemental” patron. This subclass is VERY good.
Thank you so much for this kind review! I just saw all three of these tonight, and I'm so grateful to you for them! I was so excited to make these subclasses and I'm really glad you enjoyed them. This one came out because I had players who "solved" a hag coven encounter by asking to take hag lessons from the coven and join them as initiates. I'd been sitting on this one for awhile and was so excited to make it for ARCADIA!
Its cool when a subclass offers variety. Like the genie warlock your choice will differ a lot from other players. I guess Warlock is the most versatile class when you what to create specific characters. From the eldritch invocations to pact boons and one or other patreon allowing you to choose. Its like a super buffet. Hags are an exquisite creature and see all the paths you can pick with each one of them kind of makes me create an adventure where all players are hag warlocks that joined cause their patreons will gather at a great ritual and need them to gather some itens or slay some monsters so they can make this ultimate spell. About vicious mockery. I often use it as a subtle way to "curse" my players before combat cause it can be done in the middle of a conversation. There are some nice things to do with vicious mockery for roleplay. Now some technical doubts. When a creature / player has temp HP and Sea Hag feature downs his/her HP to 0, does temp HP still works, so you stay with 0 HP and X temp HP? I`ll raise the question to abjuration wizard`s ward as well. It would be an OP moment when you think that the enemy is dead, but it stand tall again by the force of its magic or you can see that its "dead" but keeps fighting.
As soon as I saw these subclasses in Arcadia, I knew I had to play as one of them. These are so fun and evocative; they're easily some of my favorite third party options for players.
The sub/sub classes reminded me of the Genie Warlock, which is my favorite Warlock subclass. This subclass is very good, but it seems you would have to be an evil character or neutral at best to have these patrons since they are all evil aligned. That's the only real drawback I see.
Oh my so much info! I guess the best choice will depend on other PCs and the role you need to fill in. Thanks for another great video guys! Tanky scary holy witch - lady sounds great
This is a pretty cool subclass. Typically I have always played the goody goody player character... Paladin back in the day and Clerics or Druids now in 5e. This and some other recently reviewed subclasses could allow the formation of a scary, bad party or a party whose intentions may be good but come off with menacing feel and flavor. My DM loves hags. Not his top choice (mind flayer) but definitely run into these once per campaign. Being able to play a character that dives into the flavor that the various Hag subtypes bring is very cool. Great video guys. Happy Thanksgiving! Hope y'all get some quality time with family and possibly some gaming.
Open hand monk has almost the same ability but does more damage on a success. Legendary resistances and saving throw proficiencies help mitigate these kinds of abilities. Thanks for watching!

I know the Archfey is supposed to encompass hag patrons but..... they really deserve their own warlock subclass. They have so much personality!
Hags would make a great patron, and i love this ideal. Just the interaction of having a Hag as a patron can seamlessly provide character/ story hooks.

Hexblood and this 100% great character
"No, seriously my character is just a straight up hag."
"A Night hag is my momma theyre actually quite nice if you get to meet them..."

Thank you so much! That makes me so happy to hear! (Subclass creator here)
This is a great add on and I love the options it presents. Thanks for reviewing!
“To choose from…” inevitable lol

How did it take this long and a third party book for us to get a Hag patron?
Probably because hags are fey, and we have a fey patron. Though I do love this.
yoo hag patron looks cool
This is all kinds of great. I have no idea how I'd roleplay a hag's pet though.
You guys should check out the bone cobbler subclass on dnd unleashed
So how many options do you want?
yes.
I gotchu fam

It was supposed to be Ception but auto correct screwed me!!!
We heard you like subclasses, so we put subclasses in your subclass.
With the sea hag capstone... it seems a little busted to drop something to 0. That could really ruin a boss fight no?

@@URGE Both super good points! Thanks guys, love the content!
