Definitely learned something today !
The guy knows his football
Where was this man when I was trying to be a corner
Somewhere on an island at Carson Newman locking some receiver up.
😂😂😂
@@CutDayMedia you come to Florida to train?
I love this coach😊
This low key helpful cuz I play CB and guarding outside receivers can be easy but sometimes guarding inside receivers can be tricky
I’d love to see bro coach on a team but I feel like he wouldn’t be down with organizations tryna control how he coaches
Depending on the organization. But they really only give leeway to established coaches to coach like they want
That’s big bra!!! The 🐐🐐🐐
He is damn good
Best in the business, he built it from the ground up so I respect it.
Best DB coach in the world this dude not even my trainer and I still am the type of player I am because of him.
@Amari Jackson I’m trying to tell the people but they don’t hear me tho. OD has always been a student of the game
@@CutDayMedia yeah bro I definitely agree when I get to College next year Hopefully he can be my trainer because like you said he is the student of the game.
@@amarijackson6693 I’m making an in depth video about him this weekend. I need people to really understand his story and how he can help HBCU DBs

Was playing db and safety but lost my starting spot when I dislocated my shoulder
You'll be fine, use it as motivation.
I hope u took his advice
Does anyone know where he's based out of and if he does camps/ clinics would love to have my son train with him this guy is a beast at his craft
He’s based out of Atlanta,Ga and his Instagram is @I_am_OD3 and his RUclips channel is ruclips.net/channel/UCSOcAJPrMJ1HFVE032pT1lg
Can someone answer my question for real I'm trying to learn. Why are they practicing while behind them instead of in front
They’re practicing trail technique in the section of the video you’re speaking on.
@@CutDayMedia oh ok thanks
It’s man coverage that’s the tech.
Coach Saban, are you missing out on this guy?
One dimension, why are they playing catch -up?! Coaching style definitely can be cleaned up! Smh. Best DB coach... Hahaha 😂😂 good luck with that young man.
So are we just trusting instinct to know if we’re going to get a double move after turning our back to the wr?
If you get a double move the safety playing time your side of the field should take that deep route. I can be aggressive in 2 man and undercut every short route because I have safety help.
If you have the ability to study film and the wideouts you will be covering that week helps tremendously too. Many wideouts use the same two moves all of the time.
I don't see him teaching the coverage technique where a d-back stands flat footed while a wideout runs past him, then turns and chases. I only mention it cuz it happens a lot in the NFL.
Those NFL DB’s were never taught that. They got complacent and lazy and full of themselves. Problem is many corners go flat foot and motor back and have quickness that can catch up to a wide out but once in a while they get roasted for yards or 6 and they think that was a fluke. They don’t stay consistent with the basics. This guy on this channel is teaching straight up basics, works at every level. Good coaching here.
@@jeremiahhowe2956 I learned a shitload listening to DBs like Xavier Rhodes and Malcolm Jenkins.. The good ones dedicate to learning their target receivers and studying offense' tendencies in particular sets and down/distance. It is a science to the good ones and none of it consists of letting a go route run by you in single coverage on the outside. iow, no excuses man.
@@bill2953 that’s kinda what I meant to say, those guys that have amazing speed can make those plays sometimes even when they have sloppy technique. But it should never be the rule, just a once I a while lucky shot. Yeah his guy in this vid is the real deal.
@@jeremiahhowe2956 I believe you used the word lazy - it's a perfect desciption of the degree some of them apply themselves to the craft. Ramsey frustrates the hell out of me, all that natural ability and still gets beat deep. And the hype he attracts should translate to double digit picks every year. But nope..
@@bill2953 yeah. We all know how we were taught not to be flat footed. When I say lazy I mean to say they get into that over confidence and abandon their basic techniques. At that level I think it’s partially laziness and partially the fact that some of these guys are so good they make 90% of the plays playing like that but had they stuck with those basics they’d be robbing those balls like you’re saying. There are only a few in the NFL that I’d show film to youth/HS players and have them emulate when it comes to footwork.
No sir, that would be me... the I'm the doctor. He is pretty good though...check out my book- "Play The Ball."
I notice this a man defense do you have one for zone
Coach OD has a ton of videos on his Instagram. His link is in the description
@@CutDayMedia thank you
I wanna be the greatest in the world

What are you doing everyday to be the greatest?
He need be a coach...🤷🏿♂️
@Sat Scott he coaches NFL players at SFSP. Im not sure he even wants to coach on a team
Yeah but he telling the receiver what route to run 😂
