I had to tell myself at 13 that I was too old now and my best friend & I retired our barbies. I've chosen to animate, make youtube videos, learn piano and the uke.
I'm studying uke, piano, writing, art, and vets. If my life goes downhill, I have so many things to go to // go back on.
Choose what you want to do when you're young. 12 years old is the last time you can be a kid again.

My 12 Year old Life:
My lows:
• Spending my life at home due to be my right knee injury & having to have surgery in January (I'm much better now)
• Being in a school that was very small & not suitable for an injured person.
• Not getting to climb my old school's tree because of my injury.
• Being forced to hangout with Kindergarteners while my friends were playing during PE Class (BTW I think Kindergarteners are cute but I didn't like being told to hang out with them every single PE class)
• My friends that I made in 6th grade left the school & that year, it was very hard for me to make friends.
My highs:
• I went further into the Genetics for my comic in Science & I pretty much topped the class at the time. So that was very nice.
• I learned my likes & my dislikes.
• Aside from the friends low, I did make one friend.
• I went to SFMOMA & that was a pretty nice place & me & my family rarely go to San Francisco so that was a nice thing!
• I got to see my cousins from my mom's side after not seeing them for a pretty long time & I talked to them a little bit.
• I got to travel in the Summer & have a very fun trip with my grandparents.
• I learned a little bit more about myself.
• I got to see my friend after not seeing her since Summer & we watched the move Spider Man: Into the Spiderverse.
• I met 2 actors of Mama Mia in the Summer when we were walking back to our car.
My 12 year old life overall:
My 7th grade/school life was not as great as I wanted it to be. But outside of school life, it was pretty amazing!

It was great. But then all the silly drama kicked in. I used to not speak my mind but now I am starting to which IS a good thing and I know that. +Enter In Here DIY I went through the most depression when I was twelve. I missed too much school, and constantly contemplated suicide. Life just feels like a blur, doesn't it? The best thing you can do for yourself is make it to school every day, get your work done, and find a hobby. What helped me the most was getting a change of environment.. If you work hard to end this school year off well you can look for scholarships at boarding schools. Life is hard but when you finally start to feel a little better you will really appreciate what you did for yourself (: Good luck.

For me, being 12 was when I didn’t realize what I was going into. It was those years I was usually depressed and was kinda self centered, thinking that if things weren’t going my way that no one understood my feelings. Being 14 almost 15 now, I reflect off of that time and I now know that the tough times that you face make you stronger. Never give up in life, even I still go through tough times every so often, but my courage to make it through has made it a whole lot easier to bear. Suicide is not the answer, time heals all wounds.

I don't think I can put this in a way you'll truly understand, but I'm nearly 18, and it's just one mental breakdown after another.
The sheer weight of independence and complete freedom is very hard to deal with.
I hope you are able to enjoy your life while you have it, because 21 will be stressful as fuck.

Annalise Scott I believe you and I have nothing against you I support you are awesome you know i think you are perfect the way you are and if you feel bad then don't because that's silly that's like a straight person being ashamed of being straight and I'm 12 and going through a hard time I have been diagnosed with ADHD, ADD, (and sometimes I say and do things that I regret and I get anxiety and I can't concentrate I get into trouble a lot and it sucks) I also have anxiety and I am currently depressed and having anxiety everyday for 4 months I get OCD intrusive thoughts and I may have OCD I go to psychiatrists and I hate myself and I should not be on this earth I'm sorry you go through this I won't kill myself I never will you should never because they are people that love me but I'm just sad from my intrusive thoughts such as "I'm a murderer" or "I'm a Pedo" or "I'm crazy" and I obsess over things until I believe I am. I used to believe I was a psychopath, then that I was a pedophile (but I am really none of these things it's part of the OCD). So yeah, life has been hard recently.

In fact, most people in their 20s are unemployed and are pressured to move out from home. They are not suppported very well by family. No one teaches young kids 'life skills' like cooking and handyman, so they can go out into this world and BE someone - function properly.
I blame the schools and lesbian feminism.
So being 12, unless a kid is having to "grow up fast" due to an ill or parent (mom or dad) who is not there, is better than being 18 or 20 or 25.

She wasn't always like that, so girly, she was a tomboy before, but then, of course, she turned 11...I'm 16, never taken a selfie in my life and it's kinda funny, really, how our personalities clash. I miss the time when she was this innocent little girl that was so naive and easy to manipulate, never questioning me and I could still boss her around...she's now becoming rebellious and she's fiercely independent...my brother's also turning 12 in a few months, but he's still innocent, somewhat, so I guess I can take comfort in that...as long as that lasts...God, I feel so old and I'm not even 20 yet.
