Joseph Ruskin was quite an actor. Many know him best as the voice of the Kanamit from TZ’s “To Serve Man.”

The concept of fighting for “Quatloos” is the most lasting thing from this episode.

I liked how Spock figured out where Kirk & the other two got transported across the galaxy. The least McCoy could have done after giving him such a hard time was to give him credit for successfully finding them. That routine got tiresome but it was still a great series. The Gamesters of Triskelian was one of my favorites partly because of the woman Kirk got hooked up with - smokin' hot!

Yep, recrushing on Angelique Pettyjohn myself; very sad she died so young yet hope to find & read her bio ' The Sci Fi Siren ' by a friend of hers.

The woman Capt. Kirk got hooked up with was hot alrght Somebody in the "adult film" industry (AKA porn) also noticed. Look at her filmography in the vid. She was Angelique Pettyjohn. She didn't do anything too outrageous. She was in "Titillation" and few others. Now known as "classic porn."

It is interesting to speculate what role Galt would have played in the Triskelion society after being granted freedom.

That is true. Richard Kiel, was not very happy. He wanted to do his own dialogue.

Lots of bickering between spock and maccoy in this one.

This is the r word episode, right? That does happen in this episode, doesn't it? If I remember correctly, the guy walks into Uhura's cell, you hear a commotion, you hear them struggling, you hear Uhura yelling, "No! Stop!" And then it cuts to commercial break. Then it comes back from commercial break, and the guy is walking out of Uhura's cell, and he's sort of... fixing up his pants. What other conclusion is there to draw from that scene? If what I got from that scene is actually what was intended, then that's a bit much. It's unnecessary, really. It's kinda hard to watch even.

Nearly all the women on Star Trek are beauties, which Star Trek considers the point of womanhood. Question: is Tamoon a beauty, one of the few undesirable or ugly women (e.g. Vina, Stella and Janet Lester) or something else?

For years, I thought Tamoon was Bea Arthur.

She wasn’t. According to IMDb, the actress was named Jane Ross. Other than a bit part in “Planet of the Apes,” her resume was pretty sparse.

No. IMDb says she died in June of 1985.
