I have it, and it serves me well. Good small toy soldier so to speak. I also used it WITH midi and AS midi controller, and played and recorded a lot of music. App works well, no bugs, good updates. And of course it's capable for all music genres not 303-ish. And the price...so affordable you can't even believe it. Dear God i've never seen anything close to this. Analog synth in this almost pocket size... Delay, distortion, sequencer... Everything is accessible and not complicated. To me this is the gear of the year for sure. Donner guys if you reading this, you are awesome. I only wish they would release battery powered version, coz the synth is so portable that you want to take it anywhere. Thanks man! Great review! i love this for the keyboard, it makes it a lot of fun to use - i use it in bed to make patterns and often record them into op1 and make tracks out of them. you’re using it in ways that i hadn’t thought of! sounds great! your videos hadn’t popped up on my feed for awhile, glad to see this!
Is pitch bend supported? Is Controller 07 (MIDI Volume) supported? Donner does not publish a MIDI Implementation Chart for this device. Bummer that there is no Power over USB or Audio Over USB. Other than those shameful mistakes, it's a nice unit. I was hoping to pair it with my 360 Systems MIDI Bass Pro, but....alas....
So it seems this unit can be used as a synth keyboard not just for making beats? I don’t know much about these types of units but would like to learn more
Came back to let you know this is by far the best demonstration of this synth on YT. The other ones I've watched were predictable Acid 303 routines. Well done for that. 😎 They've done a great job on the delay. Becomes part of and enhances the sound in a musical way. In my experience, I've found few delays that do that. PS the delay is analog according to their website
I'm commenting before watching, But I need to know how to get drums into this thing. I've seen people demo and play drums through it, But from my understanding, it's just a bass synth, Where do the drums come from? I ordered one, And I also have a scarlet and ableton. Please teach me how to do this with a two line reply.😅
This and a liven 8 bit warps would be a powerful combo for a beginner. I keep watching videos o this even though I really do not need one. It just looks very fun to play with.
This thing sounds great. it also looks way better than my hideous aira tb-3 that i used to own. and full size midi ports which is nice. Donner also makes some nice mini guitar pedals.

Run a 3.5mm patch cable from your drum machine into the aux in (on the front panel.)

How is yr tempo? Is it precise? In my two units 120 bpm is not really 120. Can't sync it to Pocket Operator 33KO!
