I think the point that's being missed is that this song was made for a charity effort. It's Sport Aid, and the song is sort of encouraging for people to get into sport and raise money. Don't have a handbag fight over it.
McFly does their own version of this beautiful song, and make an wonderful version. If you all think that this is a terrible song, why the hell do you complain? Other people, just like me, like this version. It's very different from the original, I agree there, but it ain't a bad version.

As a queen fan I admit it's hard to hear someone else performs their song, not only since Freddie Mercury had such an amazing voice, but also as Queen where so precise about every note, while McFly are more chil about imperfection. However, I find this version is actually good. It really captured the fun atmosphere Queen tried to deliver. Moreover, maybe it's because they are not so "perfect" that it makes the song more approachable & "human", so it's easier to connect to it.
i agree with you, i love Queen, and honestly this is not a bad cover it's decent, people need to realize no one is trying to replace Queen's version, covers are more like an homage

Freddy Mercury is one of the best singers ever. This guy did a good job attemting to sing this as good as freddy did. But Freddy gives the song something that the song needs.

i usually respect when an artist has a particular interpretation of some song givin' it his own style... this cover doesn't even deserve this respect.
