I just bought a queen size metal bed frame from Amazon and I noticed without using a bed spring that the mattress goes through the bars of the bed frame because there is no longer a box spring? I googled it and it mentioned something called bunkle boards? Advice

So, if you already have a mattress with a box spring but need a new frame, will any typical frame work, even if it says "no box spring required?"
Tempur pedic has
Low profile bunkie boards
Very sleek design and looking
They have 2 , 4 and 6 inch heights
I have a log twin bed. It has three small logs across do I need a box spring

Where can you get a typical box spring… seem like there all metal bars… and not the conventional ones
