    I turned 40 recently, and Jackson is "everything" people wanted Steve Young, Michael Vick, Tim Tebow, Colin Kaepernick, and others to be. A true dual threat QB.
    Young came the closest and is in the HoF for a reason. He has said several times how much he wishes he could have run these offenses back in the day.

    • @tkdmanbb185
      @tkdmanbb185 Месяц назад +9

      Exactly! I’ve said for months now that Lamar is like Michael Vick if he reached the upside everyone saw in him.

    • @mikehatten5738
      @mikehatten5738 Месяц назад +12

      Steve young would easily have the rushing record over Vick and cam if they used these kind of schemes. Young is the 2nd or 3rd best running QB of all time he literally wouldn’t give up on a run no matter who was coming at him even the great Reggie white of B Smith. He also lost many years to the ufl, crap teams or sitting behind Joe cool. Easily would have 6000+ rushing yards in today’s nfl. Also threw a nearly perfect ball.
      But Lamar is cheat code if only he could get out of his own head during the playoffs he’d definitely have a ring

      @@tkdmanbb185 Vick never had that upside though even with the great Andy Reid his passing was always lacking. He had an absolute howitzer of an arm but it was more like a WW2 gun powerful but no accuracy or ability to predict where it would come down. Lamar throws absolute lasers within 20yds Vick couldn’t do that on his best day. Lamar is also learning how to throw with air under it something Vicky couldn’t grasp to save his life. Also Lamar is more elusive like watching Lesean McCoy or Barry sanders at QB.
      As far as dual threats go: Lamar>young/vicky>cam

      There are several OC who are clearly better, but there just aren't that many good OC overall. A few innovators, a few knowledgeable + capable copycats, and after those I don't see anybody clearly better than Roman. Lamar Jackson is on pace to end up top-10 ALL TIME in the following categories. Note - most of these are passing-only, for the guy that's the best runner in all of football (Saquon has an argument against this, but that's it):
    1. TD-Int: On pace to have the BEST EVER passing td-int ratio for anyone over 30 TD's
    2. Total Rush + Pass Yards (on 200+ LESS pass attempts than the other QBs on this list. Note - Mahomes in 2022, at 5,608 on 648 pass attempts. Lamar is on pace for 5,188 on 495 attempts. Do the math.)
    3. ^ Rush + Pass Yards Per Game (for those that want to argue 16 vs 17 games)
    4. Passer Rating (on pace to be 8th ALL TIME)
    5. Adjusted yards per pass attempt (10th)
    6. Adjusted net yards per pass attempt (4th)
    7. Interception % (10th)
    Baltimore has lost 5 games. All five games, at least one missed kick occurred. Baltimore has the 31st ranked pass defense in the league, 31st ranked special team in terms of kicking, 32nd in terms of penalties (you watch the games, this is NOT on Lamar). These are things Lamar's stats don't discuss.
    Of Lamar's three interceptions, one was actually a catch then fumble, NOT a pick. The other two were well-placed passes that weren't caught by the receivers. Legitimately playing about as clean as possible.
    Without Lamar, this team has three wins. With him, this team is 8-5 and had realistic chances to win every game. In nearly every game he's played in, he's been the best player on the field.
    I don't understand the Allen-over-Lamar narrative. NOBODY is discussing Lamar anymore??? What is going on? It's pretty clear, but this nonsense needs to stop. Put some context into these arguments.
    Allen IS having an MVP season. He's been really really good. Lamar's is just having a much, MUCH better MVP season.
    This should be another unanimous, if the voters are unbiased.
