      I was watching this for just the maintenance part, but I went through a different provider. They still said clean at least weakly, but said 3 months everytime this guy said 1 month. Other maintenance videos seem to be like that too. This video is equal parts maintenance and pushing sales.

    Should I clean the inside of the machine as well, or is it not necessary? If so, how would I go about cleaning it without the use of those ozone cleaners? Thanks.

      No need to clean the inside of your machine. Just the inside of the water chamber. Make sure to keep up with the filters on your CPAP machine and you will be good to go.

    Hello I have a question. In regards to the ResMed airsense 10 the tubing directly connected to the machine can it be clean even though it has the prongs on it do I clean it with the lightweight soap and just allow it to dry and the prongs aren't affected?

    Hello, I have a Dreamstation CPAP. When I remove my mask upon awakening in the morning, my machine used to go off by itself after maybe 60 seconds. Now when I remove my mask in the morning the machine keeps running until I manually push the power bar. I liked that "auto shut off." How do I get it back onto that auto shut off mode? Thank you.

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  3 года назад

      That feature can be adjusted in the Clinical Menu. You access the clinical menu by pressing the ramp button and front knob together for 5-10 seconds. Be sure not to adjust any therapy settings. You will find the 'auto off" feature in there to turn on. Not sure how it would have been disabled.

    I must say, some of the comments here make me quite sad. The providers used obviously do not care for their clients at all. Some of the questions asked should have been covered when the machine was purchased and set-up. Basic cleaning of a very expensive (and life saving apparatus) should have been explained before the machines were taken home. Goodness me.

    What can I do about humming sound my machine makes while I breathe into it?

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  3 года назад

      Hopefully that is not the sound of the blower going bad. I would check filters to make sure that they are clean, and then just make 100% sure that the mask seal is perfect without leaks. We recommend at least changing out the seal on the mask to be sure that it isn't the mask.

    • @daniloocasr.2606
      @daniloocasr.2606 3 года назад

      If you still hear humming sound after doing some advice from CPAPmyway, maybe it’s about time (or factory defect) , to change your water reservoir. It is not the container that giving up but the white rubber seal underneath the cover. Hopefully this will solve your issue. “If there’s a problem, there’s a solution”. Just be patient.

    You do know why its a Clinical Menu right? Very irresponsible, it may be all over the internet but that does not mean you contribute to this dangerous practice. Some of information on this video is also not what is recommended by the authorities. The recommendation is to wash the mask, hose and humidifier reservoir DAILY. By saying "at least once a week" what do you think the patient's default will be? Very irresponsible. The breathing circuit system (mask, hose, reservoir) is a moist environment from the moisture in your breath (your mouth is full of bacteria) and the humidifier. Bacteria loves a moist environment to grow. Soap and water in a plastic container and 6 minutes is all you need. (Do not waste money on SoClean and similar devices you still have to wash the parts first and it uses ozone which damages the machine and environment and you). Do not wash these items in your bathroom basin or kitchen sink it is simply NOT sanitary. Do not hang the items to dry in the bathroom, for the same reason. Remember you are sleeping with the device on your face for over 6 hours (hopefully) and giving it direct access to your respiratory system. Daily washing is for your benefit it is not meant to be a punishment. Hope this helps someone.
