Sea Lion 7 doesn't tank turn because it rotates around its nose; a tank rotates around its centre. It's close, but no cigar. The turning radius is twice as long when it rotates around the nose. Just saying.

Great job driving Tom!!! Flying around that course! The Sealion 7, if it makes it to Australia will be our next vehicle. The Seal has been amazing so far! So definitely will be placing an order if they become available.
Due to fierce competition among many car companies, on average, more than one new model is launched and released every week in China. Among them, the strongest BYD has 100000 engineers engaged in technological research and development, surpassing the total number of Toyota, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, and BMW. Its founder was originally an expert in battery research, and the company applies for more than 5 technology patents every day. Therefore, BYD can quickly rise in the fiercely competitive world's largest Chinese car market. Now BYD has surpassed Volkswagen, which originally had the highest sales volume in China, and the sum of Toyota cars, becoming the best-selling brand now.

I haven’t driven the SL6 yet but the SL7 is definitely softer than Y. Of course the disclaimer being this track is not my usual city driving conditions lol
@LudicrousFeed Hi. I'm a bit worried that they gave you a LHD SL07 to drive here. Judging by all of the RHD models that we've seen tested (eg. Hong Kong video today, recent Thai reviews), they are of a much reduced spec. HK video confimed RHD is on platform 3, not EVO. If others are not aware, Evo changes allowed top speed increase to 225 kph due 23,000 rpm motor support, intelligent heat pump giving up to 60km range increase at weather hot and cold extremes, chassis to body strength increases for improved protection and handling, much improved ITAC, and 800V for faster DC and AC charging. Several other specs have also been reduced, such as pitiful ADAS for Australia, so I'm looking elsewhere now, sadly. 😢
Great video Tom. Thanks for sharing with us. I know that was for australian press but did BYD shared some information about those models arriving to other markets like Europe?
I’m really looking forward to trying the sea lion 7 when it comes to aus. My one small nit pick is the big black plastic fittings around the tire arch. In lighter cars it makes it look like a giant black space and the wheels look smaller than they are. I’m curious to see it in the flesh to see how it looks with that styling and if looks a bit better. I still think it’s towards the top of my list of favourites though 🙂
Really hope they bring the Bao5 here to Australia. Don’t think it has a RHD version yet, but as it re-named under Denza, so maybe will be the first Denza here. Any idea when it might be coming?
