Was this used in a newer popular game as a reference or elsewhere? I've heard this track specifically in something that is more modern but I can't for the life of me remember where.
if you look at the track below it, it looks suspiciously like a triangle wave. if I had to guess it's probably modulating the track below it to create the kick and snare you hear. I'm not an expert on this kind of thing so that's just my hypothesis
This isn't music
This is an experience
fr you finally got a comment lol...
Sounds better than modern mainstream music.
Look at the right places bro
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, 3:32 hits. Jesus.
SPOT ON.. gave me the ear-gasm.. no shit
And 4:23 !
IM SO SAD THAT I DIDNT FIND THIS EARLIER
I LISTEN TO THIS ALL THE TIME
The Last Ninja 2. Probably one of the best soundtracks in computer games history.
Without a doubt. True magnificence. Repeating themes between the loader & level, yet also repeating themes between *all* the loaders too
That Pulse accentuating the snare is brilliant! Helps that it's a danm good tune as well.
My favorite N163 cover. Many Thanks ;)
Fantastic! Why it's so beautiful? I'm so happy so I have found it!
Author is a genius!
Hey Acrouzet, I want you to know how much I appreciate all the work you do. You make a difference in a way that few do.
This is so nice.. what a challenge ... what a result... Well done, VinylCheese!
This is so beautiful!
This is just outstanding!
This sounds like it would be fit into a "Last Ninja 2 Film". Possibly at the credits, but entirely great.
Awesome
3:55
damn thats cool.
Here's the link to the original video for those who want to know. ruclips.net/video/5KmIypzLDIk/видео.html
I'd say this sounds better than Matt Gray's own remake on ReFormation 2. Awesome track!
*Beautiful... T^T*
Hella good snares
God damn. Nice!
And without the stereo. >_>
Nice!
anybody here cuz of the dosh vid?
Me, that small outro-bit caught my eye (or ear, technically). So I searched this song. _And boy was it worth it_
c64 sounds, in core. till end. sure. thanx for your celebration dude.
Animusic vibes
Woaaahhhh
infinite!!
Yes
How did you get rid of the high frequency noise? Low pass filter?
Btw great vid
I just used a different program to record the wav files (nsfplay), and thanks.
3:32
It's weird that the nes and n163 triangle waves are 16 step, but they look different.
because NES triangle is a 5-bit DAC
@@dava_arvarabi it's made out of 4-bit wavetable that has been programmed permanently by Ricoh.
yeet yopt at a a ba

Its from Last Ninja 2 on the C64 remade on the 2A03 and the N163 chip.
I have a feeling someone gonna be sampling this tryna get the Crystal Castles sound.
Why the triangle don't play more?.

Wow, you made a 8bit sound chip sounds like a 16 bits game
TBF, it does use the N163 expansion chip which is capable of doing waveforms/pseudo-samples.
am i not getting the multichannel nes remixes or smth, i just dont like every sound extension nes chiptune. maybe i should install famitracker
what
Ma è un vero c64
no, è un NES + un'altro chip (appunto il Namco N163)
