Listening to the soundcloud one for so long, this feels like a beta, but also more in-line with what the NES can do. I feel like it'd still need its own singular ROM to work mind you, not on top of a game; The NES isn't as lucky as the MD in that regard; but it could work. The remaster just seems completely impossible
