Anjunabeats Volume 14 is the latest chapter in a story spanning many years, each mix an epochal statement piece rewarding those who listen closely with an incisive take on the sounds that will define Anjuna dancefloors this year.
Sketched on the road and in their London studio, the mix album coalesced in scarce periods of calm amidst a whirlwind of giddying career highs: the band’s 2018 album ‘Common Ground’ reached #3 in the Official Billboard Album chart while an accompanying tour saw the trio travel to every corner of the globe. Above & Beyond’s two label imprints, Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, continued to grow in stature and scale at a rate that continues to defy expectations.
Joining the dots between the intimate sound of Anjunadeep and the stadium-sized productions found on Anjunabeats, Volume 14 once sees Above & Beyond craft a mesmerising journey through forward-thinking electronic music. The two disc, 34-track mix includes exclusive selections from their ever expanding Anjuna family of artists as well as original contributions from the band themselves.

I've only recently found above and beyond and my days so happy I have I've danced all nite to this mix in an original raver from the 90's and for yrs there wasn't any dance music that came close..until...I found these guys and anjunadeep these mix don't just make me wanna dance it makes my soul wanna dance!!! The mix is totally sublime 💚

recently distanced myself from trance and moved more to techno and dark techno, as well as underground rap. but this is amazing. brought me right back onto the anjuna channel. looking forward to new releases.
The lines between techno and trance are getting smaller and smaller. I love it. Melodic techno and the anjunadeep style blend perfectly.
@@lonegymnast this set is not melodic techno...if you listen to the structure and sounds it is not techno at all. Prog. House music best describes the set -- atmospheric, lots of peaks and smoothdowns, chunky beat, etc.. it's not actually 100% progressive house which is a bit more cheesy with the prog elements but it is closest. Techno is minimal, has a loop that repeats over and over and over, less punchy bass, doesn't have the atmospheric elements, different types of synths sounds, less organic.
Just trying to help not being a jerk. Been listening to EDM/Producing music since like 1998. I will agree that the influence of trance has long been a part of Nick and Jody's sound going back to their start, and this comp as well.
Foggy August 20:06 , is ultrachill minimalist techno. Superb.
It feels almost like our attraction to trance, vocal trance and music of this sorts is built into our DNA.
I did the same transition couple years back anjunabeats and deep bringing me back in as well. They need to get one of their artists on Cercle blow up like huge

Anjuna is stepping it up with stuff like this, and not the same-feeling sounds they've had over the last so many years. Also for true old timers (Moby Go (1991) Sample in this mix - amazing)
