Every time I come back to this set, I realise how amazing it is even more. The amount of amazing tunes in here is just astounding, and the climax of the last 20-30 minutes just blows my mind away. It really is a perfect set
I must say that this might just be my favourite Above & Beyond set to date. Their sound seems to be drifting back to what they used to represent. I have to admit, from a marketing perspective, their move in 2014 was genius. At that point, they started making music that was more accessible to a wider range of people, and in doing so, were able to transform themselves into one of the largest, most successful and popular dance acts in history... and now that they have such a large presence and following, they are making their way back to what they have always been the best at. This set has it all, updated classics that do the originals justice, new forward thinking tracks and even these techno and tech trance influenced songs. Reminds me of their 2008 global gathering set, or even ASOT 500. It's so solid, loving this direction....
I'm sensing this pendulum shift too. The big room phase has been weakening across both progressive house and trance as evident by the rise of commercialized psy-trance and a related resurgence of tech-trance. In my view, there's nothing wrong with big room populism per se, and Anjunabeats acts who have dabbled in it handle it better than................say...............the likes of Armin Van Buuren and Andrew Rayel. But it oversaturated the scene and, most unfortunately, has continued to mislead many on what is progressive house and what is trance. Having a set lean too heavily on front-loaded tracks straining too hard to be "anthemic" and hastily oscillating from one track to the next diminishes the idea of a set feeling like a musical journey. It's okay to have big room rafter-reachers within your set at times but, when you lean on them too much, it comes across much less like a journey and more one-dimensional. I think the trio sense the renewed thirst among the listening public for sets richer in descriptive quality.

I know right! That part makes me want to tear up. It’s so beautiful and those chords kill me. The vocals of the “children” choir or whatever just make my eyes water. There is a reason why so many people follow them. This is it. The emotion and passion they put out is astronomical. From one anjunabeats family member to the next! :)

You can feel the energy through the video every time. This was the 1st set I ever listened to. I found A&B on SXM when I was driving back from work back on 2013. I've never looked back
my son was born on abgt 250. next year i’m going to abgt 350. i’ve seen a&b 14 times in 4 different states i’m the last 2 years and i have them tattoooed on me (which i showed tony and paavo at common ground dallas at the meet n greet). they have changed my life and have continued to remind me why i love trance music. my mom was a raver and she taught me the ropes with oakenfold and pvd. i cant wait to take my son to a show one day
40 years old here. Trance is such a big part of my life since 1993 when it all begun for me. Have a beautiful niece and i'm already planing to take her to a Gig such as this one. I'll be 58 by then lol

How good is Paavo having a twirl through "Always", Tony singing with such conviction, and Jono working the crowd. All of the boys have such awesome personalities which everyone can relate to. A&B Forever !

I was there, row 4 in front of the central main stage, looking at the comments of fans from all over worlds, spending 2 beautiful hours with Above & Beyond(3 members on stage together), for someone like me didn't have much chance to go to festival outside China, I have no regret in my life, unforgettable experience... btw, the Lantern is lovely.
This is the best Above and Beyond set I've ever heard. The first four tracks (liquid love, long way from home, surrender, always) really gets the party going. I wish I was there for this set.
Great track. Sounds like Above & Beyond have rediscovered themselves after a five year hiatus in EDM land. I truly could not understand what had happened to one of the most sublime electronic music groups I had ever heard. This set is a welcome return to form as this set has so much more soul than anything I've heard from them in well over five years. So happy they are back, it is like finding a long lost friend 🙂
This entire set, from start till finish was nothing short of pure bloody magic. I can listen to this set anywhere and feel like I am everywhere at once.
I was there in Bangalore when ABGT was born. That was such a surreal and exhilarating experience. And after 299 episoded, i watched them live in Hong Kong. The magic was still the same and I consider myself lucky to have discovered Above and Beyong and their music and to be part of the Anjuna family

Above and Beyond, you have helped me so much in my darkest times of my life, you have been there for me when I had no one. One great story, I was plane spotting at Los Angeles Airport late at night, I go to LAX airport to plane watch and I blast dance music on the drive there, it was late at night almost around 1am, this set was just uploaded and I started listening and watching this set, it was an amazing feeling, listening to brand new music, and seeing my favorite planes taking off from my favorite airport, it was a magical feeling, Jono, Tony, and Paavo, keep doing what you guys are doing, you guys add such a new meaning to life, keep it up!
Above & Beyond are back. The last few years have been difficult to take from a purists perspective. Ventured way to far into EDM territory after their sublime first acoustic album. Guess this was a tactical exercise to widen their footprint, especially in the U.S.A. I have only just started listening to this set but it is already clear to me they are embracing a more progressive tech / trance sound which is music to my ears (literally). More true to their origins as a group. I am overjoyed as the last few years have been like losing a good friend. Welcome back Above & Beyond, you have been gone too long x
Caught this set live in Brazil. UNBELIEVABLE vibe. INCREDIBLE experience. Had goose bumps all the way through. Inside the club there was a huge pool. I danced in it, fully clothed, with all my friends. Easily one of the best nights of my life. They even played GOD DAMN ADAGIO FOR STRINGS. ABOVE AND BEYOND IS BACK!

I have to say that I didn't realize that so many people enjoyed Prelude. It was a hidden gem on Group Therapy album that cought attention from the very first listen. Hats off for playing this amaizing track in Hongkong!
Bawled my eyes when I heard Prelude 2021. They didn’t really play in the many times I saw them and I had been going through a lot so it really made me feel like I am at this point in life where I’ve gotten through so many challenges but ready for more

Great track. Sounds like Above & Beyond have rediscovered themselves after a five year hiatus in EDM land. I truly could not understand what had happened to one of the most sublime electronic music groups I had ever heard. This set is a welcome return to form as this set has so much more soul than anything I've heard from them in well over five years. So happy they are back, it is like finding a long lost friend 🙂

I was there in Bangalore when ABGT was born. That was such a surreal and exhilarating experience. And after 299 episoded, i watched them live in Hong Kong. The magic was still the same and I consider myself lucky to have discovered Above and Beyong and their music and to be part of the Anjuna family

I was in Denver, CO last year when they premiered "Red Rocks" for the first time ever....makes me so happy to see this track getting played around the world. Will never forget that moment!

Above and Beyond, you have helped me so much in my darkest times of my life, you have been there for me when I had no one. One great story, I was plane spotting at Los Angeles Airport late at night, I go to LAX airport to plane watch and I blast dance music on the drive there, it was late at night almost around 1am, this set was just uploaded and I started listening and watching this set, it was an amazing feeling, listening to brand new music, and seeing my favorite planes taking off from my favorite airport, it was a magical feeling, Jono, Tony, and Paavo, keep doing what you guys are doing, you guys add such a new meaning to life, keep it up!

Above & Beyond are back. The last few years have been difficult to take from a purists perspective. Ventured way to far into EDM territory after their sublime first acoustic album. Guess this was a tactical exercise to widen their footprint, especially in the U.S.A. I have only just started listening to this set but it is already clear to me they are embracing a more progressive tech / trance sound which is music to my ears (literally). More true to their origins as a group. I am overjoyed as the last few years have been like losing a good friend. Welcome back Above & Beyond, you have been gone too long x

Caught this set live in Brazil. UNBELIEVABLE vibe. INCREDIBLE experience. Had goose bumps all the way through. Inside the club there was a huge pool. I danced in it, fully clothed, with all my friends. Easily one of the best nights of my life. They even played GOD DAMN ADAGIO FOR STRINGS. ABOVE AND BEYOND IS BACK!

I have to say that I didn't realize that so many people enjoyed Prelude. It was a hidden gem on Group Therapy album that cought attention from the very first listen. Hats off for playing this amaizing track in Hongkong!
Bawled my eyes when I heard Prelude 2021. They didn’t really play in the many times I saw them and I had been going through a lot so it really made me feel like I am at this point in life where I’ve gotten through so many challenges but ready for more
