@@heartsthekitteh6239 Sounds like the nickname a young bluesman surnamed Hill would pick up if he played in an old style back in the 50s-70s and it has stuck ever since.
Very well done! Incredible capture of the tonal range of Gibbons playing on a Les Paul. Solid slide work, and well timed pinched harmonics. Well done indeed!👍👍
Awesome! I think this is your best ZZ Top style cover yet! The southern swagger works perfectly with the song, and I hear a little Deep Purple in there too. ZZ Top already kind of had a proto-southern metal sound sometimes (Seriously, you could make a compilation of their heaviest songs from the 70's and you might have the first southern metal album), which I think could make for a perfect fit for the rest of the Paranoid album.
Start out with the "Deguello" album. Several great songs there, which aren't played on the radio. Examples: ruclips.net/video/S8PwGX1Wx5k/видео.htmlsi=_8mzo5o37BeHNdyR
Their album "Deguello" is a good place to start listening. Good songs abound, but which don't receive radio airplay, such as: ruclips.net/video/S8PwGX1Wx5k/видео.htmlsi=3IVMIdzilp32gdId and: ruclips.net/video/gf7ze6vcS_8/видео.htmlsi=QzV16yajUXusvCXu
A good place to start would be their 1979 album, "Degüello". It contains "Cheap Sunglasses", but more importantly it contains several great songs that don't receive airplay: 1). Lowdown in the Street 2). I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide 3). Esther Be the One 4). Fool For Your Stockings Here's a great, but largely unknown song off their 1st album(ironically titled "ZZ Top's First Album"): **Neighbor, Neighbor.
I mostly love your ton covers, but some of the other stuff, like this one is f'n gold too!!! Excellent work man! Your vocals sound a lot like Phil Anselmo on this one to me. What if Phil sang for ZZ top?
Wow this sounds really good!!!!! I'm convinced the song would sound like this when Ozzy Gibbons would have written it! I'm also curious how Sharp dressed man would have sound if Black Sabbath had written it!
guitar part is SO MASTERFULLY crafted. you solved it so perfect. these techno-flavored repetitive phrases, with shifts and arpegios and sinkoppated parts just when needed. it's hypnotic you are true talent as a musician. top-tier stuff
I can't think of a single situation where this would be mood appropriate. It is so laid back and groovin, playing it cool. Yet it is a song about a mental condition that is the exact opposite of that. Black Sabbath clearly did not sell their soul for Rock n Roll. This is what making music without having a soul sounds like.
Epic!!! I was really hoping for more ZZ Top style. I appreciate the "Kill 'Em All" full cover, but I want to hear many different metal bands as ZZ Top, not just Metallica
GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide. LOVE YOU ALL...!!!....MUCH LOVE.!! AND ALSO THIS IN MAC TODAY [[ music appreciation class]]

What if Motorhead covered this version?
genious
Epic.
Pretty cool. Honestly though some things should be left alone, lol... this is one of those
Keep ‘em coming brother!🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
I don't hear Paranoid. I just hear a new ZZ Top song. Brilliant work.
The same here.
Now, if Sabbath did La grange.
GO!
Love it! Billy Osbourne and Dusty Iommi are amazing.
Or is it Ozzy Gibbons and Geezer Hill
@@karlsmith2570 Geezer Hill sounds like a very lame place to hang out.
@@heartsthekitteh6239 either that or a really derogatory name for a nursing home

Indeed! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hell yea
@@DenisPauna dude WTF you are so talented
Billy Iommi and Dusty Geezer rockin' it! KILLER sounds from that Les Paul.
ZZ Zabath
As a long time ZZ Top and Black Sabbath fan, this is brilliant!
you should have more subscribers. You nail everything you do.
Very well done! Incredible capture of the tonal range of Gibbons playing on a Les Paul. Solid slide work, and well timed pinched harmonics. Well done indeed!👍👍
What everyone else said...
and the Frank Ward drum parts are amazing!
Damn, this is excellent. Now, what if Black Sabbath wrote ZZ Top's "Blue Jean Blues"?
You sir, Are completely Bad Ass!!!
Evidently Black Sabbath plus ZZ Top = Zakk Wylde

This mash up ends up sounding like Clutch. Awesome.
Now I can’t unhear Clutch 😂😂😂😂
Hello from Poland again! Respect!:)))
pełen szacun Polska Wroclove 🤟
Broski is sooo talented - love this!!!
babe wake up! Dennis Pauna released another banger!
As one of Chuck's children, I'm not going to see anything better today than this! Rock-n-roll never forgets!
This is fantastic! That said, you should've found a way to get some of that Dusty baritone in there vocally.
"A how, how, how, how"
ZZ Top is such a vibe lol. I definitely should listen tom more of it.. been a metalhead for so many years that I rarely listen to other styles.

That was absolutely excellent! 😅
Well done. I'm super impressed.
Brilliant, as usual
Awesome. Check out band called WO FAT. Perfect mix of early Black Sabbath and ZZTop.
You are making hits...this is original and fresh
Hell yes
This works entirely too well😆😆😆
My 5 year old son found your art last night, today I can't get enough. Thank you sir. I love it
You are seriously incredible
How is this so fecking gooood...?! 🤘🤘🤘😈
I am grooving. This is very well done.
ZZ top will live on !
More ZZ. This is crazy good
very atmospheric
If I currently had a band, this version would definitely be on the playlist.
This was awesome. Nailed the sound
One those musical questions that most definitely needed to be answered.
One of the better ones, cause it is live, right. Bass player could be your brother. 🤣🤣🤣The slide was a great touch. Nice composition.
That’s fantastic. Thank you.
That slide part...ya sure this wasn't an outtake from Tres Hombres? Brilliant!
That’s freakin right on it !!!! Loved it !
Awesome, subscription is in place
LUV the slide guitar!!!! : )
Very cool, man- I really enjoyed it.
Oh hell yeah man 🙏🤘
This song sounds like you took the song AND I THANK YOU as a framework and pushed it more to the rock side of ZZ TOP.
Excellent
Soooo nailed it. I love both bands, and now I have a new way of enjoying them both. Awesome
Any day with Denis Pauna is a good day!
Damn, that's got that texas trio groove all over it. 👍
Great interpretation! Love it!

You always seem to nail the style
You have some great concoctions here.
Stellar work, as always. This one however is not 'doing it' for me. But keep up the good work. Suggestion: George Thorogood.
This guy knows the true meaning of Multi-Tasking!! He's really a phenomenal talent!!🤘🏻
Denis...how bout " Nationwide " by ZZ Top
Sounds better at 1.25 speed
Excellent. I love it... Greetings from Athens.🤘🤘🏼🤘🏿
You grew that beard super fast wow
Just drank some hair tonics and that's it! 🤘🏻😎

This is pretty damn good!
I like the idea of Billy covering Hearts earlier songs like Barracuda or Magic Man just to see how he integrates the solos.
Brother this is killer oh my God it really does sound like zz top in the 70s
Ah Dennis, you've done it again.
As a 50 year Sab fan, I approve. 👏🏻👏🏻
Bring it ALL back...I have a new playlist better than the old one...I'm impressed.
Nailed it. You could play this for a dedicated ZZ fanboi, and he’d wonder why he didn’t know about this song. Great beard, too. Just needs more grey.😉
