Always a bugger, Robert, when you drop a good fish which you had so close at hand. Would love to see you do a Tassie trip as the fishing can be exceptionally good and challenging for big wild brown trout and it is one place where it really pays to search out 'bubble lines' and 'wind lanes' which can be full of big hungry trout.

Things certainly have changed in regards to leader set ups last 25 yrs.
Cannot believe how a swivel and clip are part of a tapered leader / tippet set up 🤔.
I know - that is why I mention what I am currently using - which could be completely different next week!

Where do you buy the yellow Sunline 10lb line that you are using for your Euro leaders?
I bought the 6lbs (from my Swampy Plains video) and 8lbs from Boss Outdoors - the 10lbs from Compleat Angler in Sydney - and the 12lbs (that I have not experimented with) from amazon.com.au…

@@aaronbowie7368 do it, Aaron - you can’t go wrong with the 10lbs - I put some serious pressure into that line when fighting my big Brown - it’s strong - strong enough for 99% of this fishing that I do…
