    Solution for the Tilt:
You can by adjustable furniture legs that you could screw into the dry wall and use 3-4 of them to PUSH the system from the bottom rather than PULLing it from the top.
Spreading the pressure across 3-4 furniture legs along the bottom of the system. You don't even need to secure them to the system as theyre pushing against what the sytem is trying to do and hang forward.
    Extra ideas for the setup:
Get a mini-floating shelf, get some personal pieces up and add some plants/greenery! Bring the outside into your setup, given your background has trees on it! :)

The weight once the TG panel is on would likely cause it to tilt again just that much further away from the wall. Needs to anchor up high or eliminate the travel in the tilt mechanism.

      @scottmann53 3 года назад +3

@@stevenwoodworth9966 I'm no engineer, but thats why the adjustable ones are cool, because once theyre screwed in, you can just twist them like a screw and they extend. A quick amazon search will show you what I mean rather than my poor explanation! :)

    • @Dronston

Won't work, the mount is a swivel and it would simply push it outward. I do feel it should be possible to have a long through the system in to a stud (or use like an umbrella plug or whatever those are called) and thus pull the top into the wall.

    • @stevenwoodworth9966

@@scottmann53 I’ve mounted literally thousands of TVs and ran into this issue a lot with heavier units or cheaper articulating mounts. Shimming the bottom with any method will eventually result in the arm extending further from the front most plane (furniture legs, shims or otherwise). If they were attached to the wall and the bottom of the chassis it may hold assuming the case doesn’t have any flexibility where it’s anchored. Otherwise like you said the case pushes against the shims and since it can’t go anywhere it results in the arm giving way by traveling away from the wall causing it to tilt again just with the added distance from the depth of the shim or furniture leg. The idea seems like it will work and often does for a day or so but it ends up being a pain eventually. Shimming and tightening the arm to the point it can’t extend can stop it but then you can’t extend the arm without a lot of effort which defeats the purpose of an arm. I tried that method a few times with lighter units and ended up having to head back out each time. Much easier to use a fixed mount intended for the purpose. I like the extra ideas for the rest of the setup.

When I used to mount tvs, I would use a wedge to hold heavier tvs level. Home depot sells wooden wedges that are made for leveling window and door frames. Just put it at the bottom of the part that swivels the mount down. Also they make flat mount tv brackets that will hold the pc flat against the wall. Some of them will want more than one stud, but you can just place a center screw in the stud and use wall anchors to hold the pc level. The one screw in the stud will hold all the weight.

If you want something to hang really flush with the wall, look for something called Z- Bar or french cleat. Essentially, they are 2 pieces of metal (you can cut them to size). One is nailed to the wall, the other on the object, i.e. PC that need to be on the wall. They interlock and the piece on the back of the PC will slide into the wall piece. Each piece has multiple holes, one or more might be on the stud. Even without studs, the multiple holes will provide enough traction to hold objects up to over 100 lbs securely
These are used by art galleries to hang huge pieces of arts, very large heavy mirrors, etc. (I used to be in the business and we used them a lot).
You find them at Amazon by the way,
PS: The only piece of the puzzle, how to attach the metal piece to the back of your PC, but I am sure you'll find a way.
    Good Luck
    Paul

Kyle, shim the mounting bracket attached to the back of your pc. It'll help kick out the bottom so it's more leveled with the top. You can use just about anything as a shim, idk of a vendor you could use, but you can use literally anything(cardboard, wood, old pc bracketry you were just going to throw away, etc.) Normally, I would use laminated aluminum shims, and you may need about .300" at the bottom, but that's just my guess from eyeballin' it.

You should build a white wooden frame mounted to the wall that runs around the edges of the case, once the system is pushed back as far as it goes, the wooden frame would push against the bottom part that is slacking down, and push it away from the wall, tilting the top back, you might need to do that clip thingy at the top in one of the corners to give it enough tension, but this approach will take some strain off the wall mount, look far cleaner from the side of the build as well, so when you walk into the room you won't see that space between the case and the wall but nice flat flush surface. That will also give you a surface to recess LEDs into, if you wanted to, or put a cool wrap on, hook some little succulent terraria onto from the bottom to just float slightly above the displays, mount small speakers onto, or like a small side mounted PC stats screen similar to what jaytwocents did...

Then route the cable through the wall to the PC, so when you walk in you can press the button to turn the system on and press it to turn it off as you go in and out of the room.

Possible solution 1: Use a flush mount instead of the articulating arm. They are generally cheaper and more stable. Use 2 bolts in the stud then mollies for the 4 corners. The bottom of such mounts can usually snap out to allow access behind.
Possible solution 2: Use mollies behind each top corner. Specifically the butterfly style ones as the load will be pulling out of the wall.

You need a bumper on the bottom back of the PC case to make it sit even. I used to do custom framing. Everyone always tries to go do pulling back the top, but the trick for flat is bumping out the bottom. Measure how deep it is to make it flat and then cut a piece of wood or some sort of material to that depth. Attach it to the case and when you push it up to the wall it should sit evenly. If the majority of your weight is the power supply, then you may need to add some support of pull to the top after that. If you want to get really fancy and lose the tv Mount, you can also try a French cleat style hanging system. Also for the speakers on the side, you should use Panel Speakers made from wood with an exciter on the back. It’ll give you a cleaner look.

Use the included lag bolts to hit the one stud, then use toggle bolts to secure it flat to the drywall and add more security. The lag bolts in the stud will for sure be able to handle 50-90 lbs. Solution is simpler than you think: To make it straight, simply screw a piece of wood to the stud a few inches underneath the mounting bracket on the wall. That way when the computer plate sags it will prevent the bottom part of the plate from touching the wall. You may want to experiment by using half inch slabs of wood on top of each other first to get the right length of wood needed to prevent the sag. Then cut a smaller pieces to match. It's also nice and clean so you can easily move the computer to reroute any wires if needed. :-)

Tilt fix: a simple block/tube of appropriate length, positioned behind the PC at its lower edge. It will be pushing that lower edge outward, counteracting the weight by distributing the force back to the wall, forcing the top tilt back to a 90 degree angle. Might need two, one at each bottom corner and probably only a few inches long.

for the tilt, u could put some kind of "bump stop" on the bottom half of the pc, but, on the wall, aligned with the center I suppuse, one on every bottom corner, something like a piece of wood, or if u like it fancy, a door stopper

Solution to mounting the PC - buy a different mount. The swing mount doesn't suit this type of thing. Just get a regular TV mount without tilt and that'll work. (I have the exact same case and that's what I did. Works wonders)

Answering question on how to straighten up the PC to get it flush on the wall, I think you need to re-do with a full widescreen TV style mount - the ones which are flat on the wall Or some are flat against wall with arm that swings out to adjust if you want that too. Just need to find one that is small enough to hid behind this case..as I imagine most wall mount TV stands are quite wide (60"-100"+ etc)so may need find a 32" flat TV mount or something... Love the floating monitor look. PC position looks awesome.

I love what you did with your monitors, I did something similar but with two monitors. What I found is that you can get a piece of 2x8 wood (or any depending on the size of your monitor arms) and mount the wood to the studs in the wall, that way you can use the wood to mount any kind of monitor mount whether a single stud or double stud system. It also allows for you to have more freedom when deciding where to mount your monitor arms because you're no longer confined to having to find a stud to position them. Additionally you can paint the wood and install mic arms/lights/streaming equipment/ect. Combine that with the cable passthroughs you have shown and you will achieve a beautiful floating wireless monitor set up with the added bonus of ease of installation and versatility.

Spacers/standoffs at the bottom of the case will push the bottom out, which will push the top back. I've done this a million times with mounts like this where I wanted it completely flat. These kind of mounts really do not hold stuff straight up and down and you have cables running behind which will naturally push the whole thing out of perfect alignment.

In my engineering brain, why not make a mounting plate that can attach to the center stud at numerous points and basically cover the back side of the PC (cutouts for the back of motherboard and other needs spots) then add stand-offs to ensure that the PC lies on the same plane to ensure no tilt or angling of the PC.

To fix the pc tilt, a wedge shaped piece of wood, super thin at the top, thicker at the bottom. Use this as a spacer between the wall mount and the studd, using longer screws as necessary. Make the bottom of this wedge thick enough to give yourself tilt adjustment going back down. I have the same case and similar wall mount. I have this exact same issue. I've been thinking about this for months lol

This also gives the ability to still use the swing arm, and doesn't introduce extra tension on the arm the way the rope may have done.

I've wall-mounted my TT Core P3 last year and it was the best decision PC-related-wise. It has freed up so much space and it is definitely a wow factor when I have guests over. Welcome to the wall mount gang, Bitwit!

Measure the distance of the bottom of the case to the wall while holding it level, then cut a piece of wood, paint it and bolt it to the wall. The block of wood will force the bottom away from the wall when the case is pushed up against it and bam! No tilt.
