A few years ago, I stayed at The La Quinta Resort with my husband. FYI, this property is part of the Waldorf-Astoria brand. Although it was a beautiful resort, my Casita was nothing special. As a matter of fact, it was next-door to a very noisy occupant who tend to smoke a lot of marijuana. I do realize this is California, however, not everyone enjoys that smell. Also, the staff when I first came to the resort told me to leave my bags in the car and they would retrieve them. About 45 minutes later, I got my own bags because no one ever came. The staff, on several occasions, saw that I was not very happy and didn’t do anything to correct the situation until I left the review on their website. Only after that did the manager get in contact with me and did her best to rectify the situation. However, her staff were less than enthusiastic throughout the resort so I will not be back again. However, on my next trip to PS, I would definitely be interested in staying at the Hermann Bungalows! Thank you for the recommendation for that resort.
@@raymonds6227 Thank you for your comment. I do agree with you, and have heard many others say the same thing, that the rooms are not anything overly special and could use an upgrade. I will say though that, for me personally, I do appreciate the old school Hollywood vibe it has and I would be disappointed if they remodeled it to point that it would lose its character. I do enjoy the grounds there and the amenities they offer and they have a good price point. My pet peeve though, is not providing good service! That’s a non-negotiable for me. Hotels are in the hospitality business and it’s their job to make us all feel that we are their number one customer and if that doesn’t happen, then that’s a fail and leaves the guest with a bad taste, no matter how fancy the accommodations may be. I’m glad to hear they eventually reached out but sometimes it’s too late. The Hermann Bungalows we’re very cool and close to downtown Palm Springs which is a fun area too.
