I so enjoyed watching your hunt. The fact that you're followers of the Lord is even cooler! Thank you for sharing your bears and for being so open about your faith. God bless.
I had a string of probably 30 lights visible 4-5 at a time going overhead this past year when I was hiking in late at night. I'm guessing it was just the spot where the sun was reflecting off them. Still was weird though.
@@PredatorSlayer41 I think he was using the scope reticles, and on the different magnifications it can really throw you off. I've used Nikon BDC scopes for quite a while, but everything is based off of 7 power. Thanks for watching!
My son is graduating high school in a few months , I would love to take him on an adventure like this, what advice would you have for me to find a general location to take him?
Awesome video!!! I have always wanted to do a spring bear hunt but, the school year goes pretty late into May. Planning a trip next year and this video gave me so much excitement for what's to come! What elevation were you guys hunting if you don't mind me asking? And it's just one more ridge!
Glad you enjoyed! Around 2000 to 4000 for that early in the season, as it gets hotter they seam to move to the higher elevations with more timber. Good Luck!
Just found your content. Really nice job. Great country. Loved everything especially when a failure took place in catching the kill shot. Obviously you guys are buds cause they cared more about you then the “who really cares” shot. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for doing all the editing and drawing us into a really great hunt. Where in Kentucky are you from?
They don't have to be broadside with a rifle, the frontal shots almost always puts them down way quicker than a broadside, thus much more ethical. I've never believed the broadside lie 😊
Awesome video in awesome country! Minor critique; the music was pretty loud and made it hard to discern what yall were saying when speaking. I’m not hating, cus you’re certainly better at editing videos than I am, just trying to help!
Wow what a hunt to be on. Highs and lows, but going out with full packs and gleeful hearts! You men pushed it to the limits physically for this hunt. Take it from someone who used to be a hardcore outdoorsman and is now medically disabled. Its great that you can do what you did, but don't do it all the time like i did. It tears your body up something fierce, and the reprocussions of it later will be tallied up. You won't feel it when your young, but boy howdy do you feel it later on. Let your body heal up, and listen to it, or it will make you listen to it. Having grit and endurance is a rare thing, but having the wisdom of when to use it is even more priceless. Ok now onto the 30-06 debate. Why do you not like it,,, and what is your preffential caliber to hunt with? Now onto the aliens. Those were satellites beaming your local weather down to you, no worries till they launch missles at you.All in all great video, take care, amd be safe out there.
Thanks for watching! The first gun I ever shot was an old Springfield 30-06 with a Mauser action and a steel butt plate, I believe I was about 85 lb at the time and that thing kicked like a mule! I'd probably like them if it would have had a cushioned butt pad haha
@@davecarr4070 Ya the first one i ever shot was a old savage 300wm, iron sights, metal buttpad. I fell in love,,, then again i weighed 145 pounds so the kick wasnt as bad for me than you shooting the 30-06. So what rifle do you preffer to humt with now?
@@Longtrailside I like .243 cause I've seen the damage it does on many a critter, but anything that is high velocity kills very fast. Matt had hand loaded 150 grain bullet going 3100 fps out of that 30.06! That makes plenty of shock.
@@davecarr4070 Ya thats cooking for a 30-06! I do like the 243 though. Its a nice caliber for med size game, not to much meat damage and light on recoil. Curious have you taken any game with it using barnes ttsx bullets?
Good effort and nice video guys. That is just terrible shooting though. How about waiting for the bear to stand broadside? How about staking in closer? The ass shots are just plain bad. You guys need to rethink your tactics.
A bear usually bites deer and elk in the butt when chasing them down to kill them. I personally will shoot at the butt (if that's all I see) of any predator.
My wife and I are avid spot and stock bear hunters here in Washington, and all those missed shots especially on moving targets made us sick, very poor sportsmanship. And if a hunter misses a game animal by a couple feet, why the he'll did they even attempt a second shot?
Hey Kentucky Boys, This Kentucky Boy really enjoyed watching. You have a desire for Christ. Praise God! Only one thing I would suggest: your background music made it hard to hear your Christian talk. ✝️ God bless!
Sucks that you didnt get the shot on camera but like, the passion in your voice in your apology.... man I felt that. Ive fucked up like that trying to cover down for my freinds and it does suck. Great vid tho.
Great hunt love the message!

Great hunt. Totally enjoyed it. I want to take my boys on an idaho bear hunt next year.
Thank you for watching. We appreciate it. Get ahold of Idaho whitetail guides best around.
First day no shoes no socks and belt not even buckled. Great team work!
It was hilarious!! he don't wake up very fast 😂 Thanks for watching!

I was pretty surprised that you guys were taking baby bears, the last one was a cub
Sick hunt fellas!
Wait you worked out in bovill? Isn't that the dammerman guide service?
Yes
What an awesome hunt! Congrats!
Which vortex scope was he using? Strikeeagle?
I'm not sure, but he had practiced on a different power then what he had it on when he was shooting at the bear, that's why it was shooting way high.
@@outdoor2thecore214 so he was holding for elevation instead of dialing with a turret…got it. The rifle never lost zero?

Awesome hunt, Dave!!! Thanks for sharing your testimony. God is the giver of life; enjoy it to the fullest
What camera were you using?
Canon sx70
Congratulations, absolute beast mode !!!
Well done Dave! The first hunting video I actually enjoyed. Lol. You're editing and photography was quite good keep up the good work!
Thanks, I'm very slow... over 40 hrs into editing trying to make sure the hunt was put together right to the best of my abilities. 58.5 hrs to upload

Great job!!!! Nice video!
Absolutely outstanding.......beautiful country and great guys!! I hate seeing all the burnt timber but it's still georgios to look at.
Thank you for the support. It is definitely one of gods masterpieces.

Good work! Where abouts in Idaho approx. are you guys for this hunt?
Sorry, we can't say the whereabouts on social media. Want to "protect" the area for the guy's that hunt that already. Hopefully that makes sense 😊.
This should be called the MIS-HAPS... & BLOOPERS

When shooting steep downhill aim at 6 o clock and when shooting uphill aim at 9 o clock
