- Sometimes oktavists can sound the same. However, I think there are vocal distinctions if we listen closely. Just a video about the qualities I found in these oktavists.

Pappano interviewed Miller. That voice developed at 14. Look up Vladimir Miller number 38, that's his 1st ever recorded video, he was only 26!
My voice did the same thing... I have sang bass in choir since the age of 12 (I was 6'5", 280lbs by 13). Now, if I could just possess Vladimir's power and resonance. There are definitely Oktavists with lower chest voice ranges than Vladimir, but that power he possess from F1-F2 is crazy.
Yuri Emashev had the same voicetype as young Zlatopolsky and Sergey Kochetov, and sounded very similar to that last one.
I heard the difference, none of them are the same. Some of them have higher speaking voices and create a deeper darker tone and others speak extremely low and can only produce mid range.
Pasjukov is likely my favorite profundo of all time in terms of timbre. I will say, though, that Alexis Lukianov sounds pretty similar to him, albeit with a heavier tone and a lower range.
name of the pieces?
