great finds!! 👍🏻 as to the legs: they are votive offerings (to a saint or god). people made vows (eg during a sickness) and later offered such things in gratitude for their recovery. in this case the dedicator must have suffered from some leg problems 😉

Such lovely things at the charity shops! That heavy green item at the beginning of the video is a Christmas tree stand. It must be so tempting going to these places!! :)😊
Other than that beautiful wooden and glass cabinet you thought of for your kitchen, I thought the prices were high. Love all the goodies you bought. Will look forward to seeing them in your house.
Inlaid silver means that there is a special oval of sterling silver set into each spoon 🥄 where it rests on the back of the bowl. This is done with silver plate to make it last longer. The rounded hutch for kitchen storage is absolutely beautiful. What a joy it would be to use each day. It just needs some sanding and polishing inside.
Hey Alla! I think I know what the legs are. It is a religious symbol In Greece and maybe other orthodox countries. They put or hang them next to the icons of saints when there has been a prayer followed by a “miracle”. An illness cured for example. They use different parts of the body according to what the saint has treated, like hands, legs, arms, eyes, heart… They are usually silver or silver-plated.
What a beautiful day with your girlfriend doing something you love. Treasure shopping. The house is coming along beautiful, keep up the hard work. Enjoy your videos from USA.
Just a quick question……. What kind of acid did you use to bleach out your beams? Oxalis acid? Muriatic acid? Just wondering….. thinking of doing the same….
I've tried Oxalic Acid, in a very simple way - just mix it in a hot water to concentration when it stops dissolving, and just apply to the surface. When drying it will make crystals on the surface with washed stain and dirt from the wood. So I just plan to brush it away right before applying the oil on the beams.
@@stephaniewilliams9469 ¡de nada! it's pretty subtle compare to some harsh chemistry, but very effective for some old stains, especially stain made with white vinegar and steel wool, or some old coffee stains, as I noticed it doesn't help at all with wax or resin based stains.
I just love all your videos. I can't wait every day to see what else you have
The green glass with the hardware at the top looks like a fancy Christmas tree stand. Usually they are plastic.

The chairs and dish caninet you liked are gorgeous ❤
Silver cutlery is not meant to be washed in the dishwasher because of the detergent. So you should be sure if it is real silver
Well done
