  • market news ... and a long podcast rant at the end ..
corn and beans are going to rally...based on the info I have at hand ..silver going up ..corn will hit 7++ (cash bids) ..and beans 17 $ cash bids...
Rant at the end ... after years of doing social media, it's been my oberservation that every complains about everything .. not in my backyard mentality - for everyone ... at eacothers throats all the time and not for the greater good of our nation ....it's easy to see why we are collapsing country ...and no one ever backs up their trolling bs with any facts - at the minimum, it would be nice to debate someone who's attempted to do a little homework.....

You nailed it with the words hypocrisy and stupidity. Also agree with you completely on Trump and farmers. He remains clueless about what happens in the lives of those that feed this country.

Thank you and thank you for the comment .... as far as trump - it appears he thought he knew commodities better than anyone else - turns out he didn't..do nalds been bankrupt several times, and sued (before office) over 5500 times - which says a lot ... I'm sick of him and biden ..wish they'd both go away from the spotlight- although sadly it appears it may end up being a rematch

@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling I live in Central Illinois. Could you explain to me the blind following in Iowa for Grassley? Like Biden, old thinking and entrenched reasoning does not seem to be helping farmers in Iowa. Yes, we have our own problems in Illinois but it amazes me how Grassley seems to be a rubber stamp each election. Thanks for what you do in keeping us non-farmers up to date with what is really happening at the reality level of farming. I grew up on a family poultry farm in Massachusetts. We were driven out of business when the land became too valuable, taxes too high and our new transplant neighbors from Boston complained about the smell. Have a great day and thank you again for speaking out in terms we can all understand.

When you showed that graph of the lower exports of corn to china, could that be a correlation with the Chinese buying farmland? As if maybe they think they will get enough food companies and farmland to supply themselves? Well if that’s what they think, I’m curious to see how well that would go, but who knows. As always great video.😊

Thank you very much for the viewership and for asking ....
To answer your question- I don't belive that chart reflected that ... in my opinion, China is about done with the USA - they have already largely switched to cheaper and more reliable sources - mainly Brazil... (brics nations) ... Brazil has 80M more farmable acres they could potentially open up ...slowly the United States is becoming a corn production country only, and even corn is slowing - I think the only solution will be to find more used domestically - which the carbonless fuel initiative could be just that ....

If energy conversion was 100% efficient, one gallon of bio-diesel would produce one gallon of bio-diesel. No energy conversion is 100% efficient, so using a product to make more of itself doesn't work. Any company that sells energy products takes advantage of cheaper forms of energy to create that product.

Do you see a lot of investors buying land in Page and Montgomery counties? I've seen some in Adams / Union / Adair, but not to the point that I think it's concerning. Most land sales still seem to go to farmers who want to farm the land themselves, but any public sale goes to a farmer who is well established. I agree the only way for a young guy to get in is by private sale.
When you talk about your local community crumbling, do you mean Villisca or Clarinda? Clarinda still seems to have reputable businesses to generate income in the town.
When thinking about manufacturing jobs disappearing in the homeland, I agree that is what builds the country up right down to the local community level. But do you blame companies for manufacturing in cheaper areas of the world when reliable labor is scarce in the US? The alternative is more expensive products when manufactured in the US. Personally I'd rather pay more for a quality product built in the US if it means more income generated for local Americans.

    • @Blackearthexcavationandtiling

Larger tracts of land yes - non farmer owners are becoming more and more prevalent around the area... if you wanted to grab a Plat book and jump in the pickup together - I could definitely show you, as well as research quite a bit of area that is owned by people that are non farmers themselves ........ but yes, your also right in the sense the only more established farmers are buying ground.... for myself, I'll never be able to buy my own line of machinery or ground, just isn't going happen - and there is a touch I could add but not on here ........
As far as the local are and towns ..they are dumps ..median income is falling - poverty, lots of welfare, no new building occuring - look at the local economy and demographics - its a sad and declining picture ... I know your young - that's the problem- that's not putting you down at all - but if you could have seen these local communities in their glory days - you'd be very upset with how crapped out they have become ..... again - happy to host or get together sometime to look over the area any talk in more detail ....
As far as the whole country - over 70000 mfg factories - gone - and I highly doubt unless things severely change, that they'll ever come back...it's been changing since the 60s and really went to crap in the 90s ...all for faults you spoke about and more ...it's a lousy picture ... the only reason we haven't collapsed as a nation is because of monetary agreements formed many years ago - such as the Bretton woods agreement .....

That's for sure ... if you watch enough of them your head spins ..they all seem to give different options and often lead to no more information than just an average person walking the street...... the only thing I find interesting- is almost all economists are starting to unite in talks of recession- which isn't good ...but because it's an inflationary recession (so far) - stagflation- then ag commodities have stayed high

@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling Well, sir, i respectfully disagree. I'm European and the overarching theme right now is the war as you can imagine. The war will be over not too long. There will be immense spending in Europe to get all the stuff fixed. And people here are waking up to the fact that fascist china is also not to be trusted. The US will profit big time. For example. Ukrainian farmer's equipment was destroyed - John Deere will have to ramp up production, gas is expensive here - we need fertilizer en mass from you guys, defense spending... the Poles will buy every military shit of yours that isn't on the trees by 3. That'll be a HUGE job machine. There will be no recession. I have no idea about the implication of all this for the US AG market though. There you are the expert. I bet commodity prices will stay high(ish) for some time. Which is not so good for farmers.

Even though it's not being admitted, we are in a recession here in the United States ... commodities prices have been in a decline for one year and continue to decline ..... as far as all the John Deere equipment destroyed in the ukraine - I would imagine John Deere is being hurt buy that right now - not only a lack of new sales, but what about the machinery that I'm sure people are not making their payments on .... I personally don't the ukraine war will be over anytime soon - I beleive it will last for many more years and I think it will escalate - but then again I could be totally wrong...... as far as wrong about the recession, though - no, I'm not wrong about it - things here are going sour really quickly ....
