  • based on everything I'm seeing - grain prices are currently at their low and will go higher as we move into inflation .... I am not sure on exact timing - and a large crop could offset the growth (somewhat) .... there maybe a couple years here coming up to cash in big if you play your cards right ...

oh yeah markets and dollars. But some guys must have money to spend and waste with how older equipment is bringing on auction. I'm a case guy and love my case tractors but a old 77 model 2870 4wd case brought 25000 on bigiron, like really that's 12grand more than I'd pay for it ever or I must just be a cheapskate or something cause I'm trying to find affordable used equipment not crazy used equipment. I did get lucky on bigiron though on my neighbors estate sale and got some good machinery at a reasonable price.

It's dollar buying power - which we are losing (dollars becoming more worthless all the time) ...and its a supply issue - can't get new equipment .... but yes I agree, it's nuts what some of this crap is bringing - especially at 8% interest rates (if you have to finance) ....

As a 27 year old first generation farmer I appreciate these videos. This is one of the only channel I've found that actually puts out useful info and not just talking bullshit and showing off shiny equipment

I spotted the Case IH combine when you where over by the 4wd tractor. Looks like it is a little older machine since it does not have the newer style stickers. Yeah, I can see commodities going back up some as long as something crazy does not happen in the world. Cant wait to hear the scoop on the Hagie and combine.

Hi black earth, just wanted to say thank you for all your very informative videos. I found my father killed in a farming accident last July and I took over our 1600 acre operation. Sorry to be a bit of a downer but just wanted to show my appreciation. Cheers!

I was to an auction yesterday over 2,000 plus farmers and the money was just flowing like a river. Some of the pieces of equipment or bringing more than I ever expect. Thanks for the video I always enjoy watching them and learning.

Always great to talk with you .... its the broken supply chain - no supply of new equipment... plus inflation, new machinery has just went through the roof .... I sincerely appreciate the viewership and kind words - I like sharing useful information ...

I think you should do a video on how land value changed during the same time with inflation and grain prices.

That's aweful .. same with corn and soybean market .. soon be below cost of production .... timing will the issue - we are in for inflation, but how long will it take for ag commodities to increase I don't know - I'd hold off on selling if possible though, I think we'll have better opportunities coming up

@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling I have some beans locked in around $13.50 but I’ve been growing nongmo soybeans for $1.85 premium and $3 for nongmo food grade beans. Really has helped me as a small farmer. Yields are the same as long as the weeds are controlled and last year my chemical program was about the same money as an enlist program since everything was high
