- Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela is briefing the Portfolio Committee on Community Safety on Monday's operation in Rosettenville which led to the arrest of suspected cash-in-transit robbers and the fatal shooting of eight suspects. Mawela will also present the province's 3rd Quarterly Crime Statistics, focusing on the number of crimes committed in Gauteng during the period of October to December.

I suspect that one of the shortcomings is lack of docket inspection and thorough analysis process of recruitment is affecting SAPS and Correctional services. Vetting should be regarded as an issue on entry level.
