Yeah, this episode was truly emotional
Not emotional its horrifying 😨
I had some sweaty eyes
That ep made my mental health goes negative 😭
Yes it is 🥺
even the studio knew that this episode is Peak, so the put credit like that
LMAAOOOOO
I swear you quote some RUclipsr who review this episode said the exact same thing🤣, forgot the channel name though
@@KittyoTheGreatechidnut
@@Archexo omg yes lol
*animators and VA's crying*
Director eating popcorn: "oh y'all cooked we gotta have y'all put credits on that"
I remember my friend's reaction when he saw the credit rolled
"Tf?! That's the end?! Fuuuuu........"
Yo ! My reaction too was that 😂
This episode proved that Re:Zero is the best Isekai anime that came out in recent years.
Its a really great show
This episode is like 8 years old, its not really new
@@Random_BS2889 yeah but compared to the whole history of anime, especially when it came popular on western culture, it's quite new. ☺️
@@Arhius its crazy that even after 8 years, Re zero is still more entertaining and interesting then most Isekai that have come in the past years 😭
@@Random_BS2889 that's why it's the best! 😁
I like it because of really creative and extraordinary ideas for power scaling, plot and characters. I like it also because the main protagonist isn't overpowered and he must struggle a lot, well, struggle even more than almost every anime character.
Everything is hidden deeply in mysteries and with every episode or chapter is slightly reveals more of this mystery. It's really well made! 👍
The one where Rem died in his arms after confessing to him was even more powerful, in my opinion. That one left me in tears.
It's the same episode.
@patrickbailey2799 Okay. Been a while since I watched season one so I couldn't remember for sure. Thanks!
It was almost cathartic to realize the beast was puck after his voice line, I haven’t finished it but one s3 and am still racking my brain on how Subaru and Puck just kinda knew each other and no one questioned it
I don’t think it’s mentioned but puck shows him his gigantic form a couple of times
They did.. unfortunately trapped by one of the chibi shorts. Same as Alderans "home town"
You mean first time? When Subaru says "Puck, protect her" and no one question how he knew puck?
@@edsonaugusto3552 yeah I can’t remember exactly when but it was either the first or second return after he came to the new world but they were all together eating or something and Subaru had to leave quickly before he would’ve been introduced to puck but yeah Emilia wasn’t even fazed by it
@@Idonknowwhat I'm talking about Episode 2, after the third death, when Subaru is negociating the insignia with Felt, and Emilia enters and don't know Subaru. Elsa attacks she from behind and Subaru yells: "Puck, protect her!", and Puck who was hiding in Emília's hair uses a ice shield. He thanks Subaru but don't even ask how Subaru knew his name if they never met in that timeline. That was very strange, maybe they cut something from novel, i don't know.
It was this episode and then 18 that made me genuinely cry and realize rezero is something else
I don't know why people were complaining about Subaru cries like bro, no way someone is gonna remain sane after everything he experienced
@@hunterofdarkness8329 they act like they’d do any better in his situation but it’s confirmed the average person would have given up around the loot house
They're always like "HOw dare Subaru cry and show his EMotional Vulnerable human Side after continuously being Tortured Gutted Killed and Eaten alive brutally??!!!! 😡😡"
Haters gonna hate, just ignore them.
@@alan77744 yea been ignoring em for years but it gets so annoying cuz like this is a normal human going up against mfers who can defy reality and u telling me it’s not inspiring that he’s still winning 😭
Yes, i felt and are still feeling exactly that which made me all the more schocked over the fact that my own brother dropped it on epidode 18
I think this episode really defined Re:Zero as my favorite piece of media of all time. I remember it: sitting in my small room with the lights out just wanting to watch one more episode. Just one more.
When Requiem of Silence started playing and Subaru’s head fell off… The sheer shock and dread that I felt is something I had never experienced before. To this day, it still sits on my number one favorite scene of all time just because of how big the impact was for me personally.
Sometimes you watch a show that just kind of speaks in a different way than anything else to you. Re:Zero is that show for me.
It is a masterpiece and it is the turning point that made Re-Zero my favorite anime ever
When I watched this episode back in 2017 and *those* credits started, it really made my 12 year old soul ache. 10/10
You left out the part where Bettleguise wrung Rem out like she was a wet towel.
Any video’s emotional output is immediately reduced to nil when it has a TikTok voiceover lmfao
Re:Zero honestly has the best story imo. It's quite unique and unpredictable. It's not like those popular anime where the mc is op. Subaru is just any other human, but with Return by Death so he's basically experiencing hell (where one suffers but never truly dies). It's also very entertaining and emotional 😭
Outside of Madness makes Rem's words turn to gold in From Zero, episode 18. 15 had to hurt because 18 taught Subaru to fly.
Ngl this episode actually made me cry the first time I saw it especially after the buildup of absolute insanity he’s driven to do to immense trauma of not only having to die for the people he cares about but, to also witness countless deaths of those he cared for. The worst part is he cannot tell anyone about his return by death without it either killing him or someone else. So he literally can’t explain the true harrowing experience he has to go through of being surrounded by death and also flirting with death constantly. On top of all of that he’s basically powerless as a simple human being so he’s forced to rely on others quite often and as a result he feels completely useless and nothing but a burden to those he cares about. I can’t imagine how painful that really is however I will say I know what it’s like to feel like a burden to others which is what stuck to me the most.
I had caught up to this show and had been watching it weekly as it aired. Waiting for the next week was gut-wrenching.
Now we will have to wait till Feb 5😢
same, 2016 was wild, especially considering nobody really expected this much tragedy
as a kid watching i was excited rather than traumatized, i was intrigued and can't wait for the next ep... now i think about something wrong with me when i was a kid
Nothing is wrong with you . I also watched it as a kid so i got the feeling that something big is gonna happen now that subaru has seen so many deaths especially rem and that i focused all my attention to watch and finish season 1 and season 2 cuz isekai genre is one of the first genre that I had started to watch after becoming familiar with the term anime . I was so dissapointed after learing that rezero only has two seasons yet . But I am GLAD Season 3 is finally started airing ( rewatching ReZero to watch season 3 )
Same, maybe it's the childhood innocence or something because i re watched the whole thing and my stomach churns watching the cave screen
I was 12 when i watched it and i genuinely enjoyed it
I watched horror movie when I was a kid. Everytime I see people murdered and getting their brain eaten or something, I feel... Strangely excited and aroused.
@@IamAWESOME3980 aroused ? ☠️
It left a scar on my life
Without any loops(just the perfect run) the first season is about 5 hours
well, I'm pretty sure if i watch that, I'm gonna ask how genius he is instead of WHAT TF IS GOING ON
He is showing two deaths. Both Suburu gets frozen. The everyone is dead one where he gets frozen in basement and where Theater D by Myth and Roid plays. Then the one where REM gets torn up by Petelguise and Subaru carried her back. The beast of the end comes out and Subaru’s head freezes off to a really great orchestra score.
the credits rolling is what finishes you, because usually anime endings always have dynamic patches of credits, this roll unconsciously makes you think, if only for a second, that it might be the true end of Re:Zero, so that the final scene of the episode burn-prints itself into your memory and become unforgettable
Re zero is a Masterpiece this is what is the greatest pain of a Main character
Thats not even the worst killing we see this man gutted in like the 4 or 5th episode
You convinced me to watch it again, probably for the 6th time
Nothing in this world can compensated his suffering, wait Rinehart cheat mindless blessings can do
Best episode in anime perhaps
He wasn't killed outside during that loop, he went in the mansion where Emilia was supposed to be hiding and touching the door handle froze his hand and his hand broke off. He then froze solid and his head shattered.
The best of all episode, but rem declaration is the first in my heart
Episode 14 to like 18 is the most gruesome episodes of season 1
This traumatized me for a whole day, telling myself that it was just fiction, I got so depressed. I regreted watching Re: zero, but then I got over it and I am happy I continued the series. I feel more happy now.
From this episode i got chills of it when i say the most brutally killed of all characters i don't think i was the only one 💀
From all of the animes that I've seen that has death scenes, this one is the most brutal. I cried a lot when rem died.
I prefer when betelgeuse possessed subaru because it was the first time he activly asked someone to kill him and even then, imagine if return by death would have taken Betelgeuse in subarus body with him....also one of the few deaths where they don't show the death but immediately cut to Emilia turning her head in the direction as sensing that something is wrong
He also had to watch rem the tortured and she died in his arms
Brudda cut my guy Subaru some slack and let him have an ending 😭
Just you wait to see what goes on in arc 6 and 7. Every time I think this series can't get more tragic and insane something else pops up.
Originally mushoku tensei was my favorite isekai. But after watching the first 2 seasons of re:zero, I changed my mind. Re:zero is definitely peak isekai.
Yeah, that episode still burns my soul
Animation, story, dialogue, music... I read the Manga some years ago (first arc, 2 number) and just one week ago started the Anime and today I finish the first part of the third season. I can say this is one of the most interesting story in the industry, when I have time I buy the light novel. The only problem is, in Italy, the LN go more slow than a new chapter of HxH. (at December it's out the 12 and 13 volumes.).
I can't wait for the second part of the third season!
After that episode i was deciding on whether I should drop this or not,but I didn't and found out how masterpiece re-zero is
And how I interpreted it is that during the credits, Subaru was still alive because it didn’t move on to the next loop. I don’t know if that’s the canon interpretation or not, but it’s mine
First time I saw this I just sat in silence watching the end credits. Truly a masterpiece of an episode.
You must remember re:zero is a psychological thriller/horror isakei anime
How can an anime where you know some characters will eventually return, have more emotionnal impact and shocking value, than the concept of the whole current Marvel's Multiverse itself ?
Sometimes I forgot how depressing and traumating this anime is
I was traumatized asf after watching this ep bro 😭
Although he can redo the timeline, he still keep his memories of everything that has happened.
You forget to mention the goat brain troubles man
For me the darkest moment was when Petelgeuse was introduced, he was legitimately scary in his first episode, the way le laughs and how he easily defeats Rem (plus the brutal way he does it, the unseen hands are not visible yet and he seems to have destroyed her limbs using some sort of telekinesis, plus the way she puppeteers her body and leaves her almost dying, was really terrifying to me, it's the first time a tv show manages to terrify me in at least 10 years, and I even had nightmares)...
Except the last scene is NOT from the same scene of her being lifeless.
That's from when he watched her die in front of him
the shit tht fucked me up the most was credit rolling after Subaru's head fall off. "what.the.hell. this is where it ends??"-was my reaction. but then of course we get a rbd in the next episode but hell that was intense
Neon Genesis evangelion:
Depression but old
Re:Zero:Depression, but newer
This drove me insane when I mentally was shattered by true betrayal….anyhow, love 💕 you too Rem…Kevina
I am still emotionally scared by this episode. Because season 3 and we still don't know who is Rem.. *tear*
Darkest episode of Re zero so far. Just wait for Faith build upon the sand. Or murder becomes a habit.
That was puck😟😟
I remember staring at the credits roll after Subaru's head fell off, thinking "what the fuck was that episode". 10/10
Jawdropping *twists* alright.. Rem is a god at playing twister for sure
Nearly every episode is one of the darkest moments in the show.
When I first watched this episode, I sat there for a few minutes after the credits, trying to digest what had just happened
This was like the eclipse
One of my fav rezero episodes absolute peak 🖐🙂↕️🤚
From episode 14 to 18 were the best times I had watching anime.
I simply enjoy watching the main character suffer or watching a overall sad anime.
The end credit is literally unforgettable
The ending was beautiful
I'm so speechless when i first watch this episode
His head just pop out like that 😅
Rezero is a masterpiece....😢😢😢
Tokyo ghoul and rezero are my favourite anime.,.,..
Tokyo ghoul got done dirty
@@vinhnguyen-o5zth manga is a masterpiece, but the anime just gave up
@@tastypasta209it wasn’t that they gave up they tried to go in a different direction than the manga decided it was a bad idea midway through than tried to get back in line with the manga???
I remember this moment because of puck power reveal and that goddamn masterpiece music
And this is the moment
Masterpiece ❤
I dropped re zero but i know this scene in season 1 though
And not gonna lie the last two and last one episode was so sad
Betelguese.....
"Ima hate this character"
*"Damn,The backstory got hands"*
And the ending name tags that was in red was something too
Darkest moment in the show so far
Right after Subaru was being eaten by rabbits
A dream I saw a dream...
Ohh just wait till arc 6-7 to be animated, then you’ll see “craziest”
(Watches Episode) “Who turned on the water works?”
Yeah….Kevina
Oh, sweet summer child, just wait for arc 6 😅
Rezero best anime
I’m traumatized I’m being so serious I’m not joking I’m genuinely scared confused and broken
Wait till arc9 is animated
Waiting until 2050
Pretty sure at the rate they're going, it's gonna take them 28 more years (2052) to finish the anime 🥹 I'm just gonna stick to the books
@@Fleepwnwe should be getting Arc 6 sometime next year, as it is part of Season 3. 7 and 8 will likely not be broken up into different season, just separate cours, so if it takes another 3 years to get season 4 it will be 2028, then if it took another 3 years for arc 9 that would put it in 2031.
I really hope they go straight into making season 4 so that we get it in 2026 though.
The true suffering of Re:Zero is the waiting.
Sad that newer seasons never lived up to the first.
Do you even read the LN? Wait for it
@@hexterzerda read? hell no. i dont read.
@@IamAWESOME3980 then you don't know what you're talking about
@@hexterzerda if i dont see it then nothing you said is valid.
From what I have heard from others season 3 is going to be peak because arc 6 will be adapted aswell
Did i really just get spoiled as a new watcher bro
He may love Emilia more than rem, but he has more emotional attachment with rem.
I'm still don't know my reaction when i watch that episode
The question is who cut subaru's head? If it frozen to a crisp, shouldn't it break into pieces?
IMAGINE THE SEASON END WITH 15 EPISODE....🙂
IF IT'D HAPPENED I'D DROWN BY DESPAIR....😅
One thing good about this anime is the protagonist does not have any special power , only thing he can respawn
Uhh i watched the whole series and i still have lots of questions. First of all, was that the lust witch (i first thought of this because once she tried to camoflage as rem and tried to kiss subaru) or the test drive her to the insanity?
Good anime, but honestly when I found out that Subaru wasn't going to be with Rem, I quit in the second season
Everyone but suburu and belsibub all of them killed him in the most brutal way f them all
yep i agree these eps are fucking depressed i never felt depression before but this 😐
Peak
I miss rem
Thanks for convincing me not to watch this. This is too intense for me
And then they doubled down with betelgeuse mangling rem
Need a girl like rem
