100% agreed with Rob. Hamilton is still in his primed condition even today. Why? This is about prime: a driver/rider/athlete can't lose his/her talent. However, he/she can lose or experience decline on performance supports e.g., energy, movement capacity, reaction times, spatial awareness, and etc. A driver/rider/athlete no longer in his/her prime if he/she lose or doesn't have enough of these performances to show his/her absolute best. Hamilton is definitely not lacking any of these.
If Hamilton is at his best now, that would shine a very very Bad light on the rest of his career. Because if that's his best, he was never an exceptional driver and just good enough in dominant cars. So what is it?
People said George was going to walk all over Lewis but that hasn’t worked out and now Merc are resorting to dodgy strategy calls to try help George overcome the deficit. With Lewis on a 3 year contract there’s no incentive to favour Charles and Lewis’s race pace is still good even if he loses in every qualifying.
That'd be great, it's the one thing I'm worried about with Lewis. I don't know if Ricky is the right engineer for him, but I hope it works out. Bono is just so important to Lewis staying positive.
Lewis is working very hard at learning Italian thats a massive sign of respect that the team will love. hes hard at it It shows he is very very keen to fit in and is willing to do the hard yards in multiplt areas. Hes always wanted to race with Ferrari. Hes got a deeo passion for it
In 2025 I'd love to see Hamilton+Leclerc to find themselves in a similar situation like McLaren this year. I'm 100% sure that neither Hamilton nor Leclerc would accept any team orders as long as there is the slightest chance of winning the WDC ...in a Ferrari for the first time since 2007. There's Hamilton in the position as the "old master" trying to prove he's the g.o.a.t., and there's Leclerc who wants to show that he's the future and beat the guy who dominated the sport for so many years in a row.
Its something about French Team Principals and Ferrai that goes hand in hand....now you just meed a star Driver, you have two of them, and great car dev team. What Fred has done this year is remarkably respectable. Bringing back the moral of the team and Tufosi, at Monaco a d Monza is big. This is how you get ur act together, aim small miss small. Now they can develop from next year.
100K a year to go carting really, get in the real world how many families can afford this, so many talented kids miss out on these opportunities due to making this exclusive sport

Link a conversation when EJ praise Lewis and then I will accept is not been hate, you don’t have to love Lewis but after all he has achieve at least he deserves respect and, let’s not come up with oh he has a great car, oh he has bad teammate(tell me about a champion that raced again multiple champions and championships material drivers)
I'm a merc fan but I have to say one thing Ferrari is third now but THIS YEAR is the only too 3 team that apparently hasn't been caught cheating Red Bull with those brakes and McLaren with those flexible wing have certainly had an advantage
But Ferrari are much better under Fred, also alonso n Vettel aren’t Hamilton, we’ve seen the bad career moves alonso has made in his time, and Vettel couldn’t handle the pressure in 2017 & 2018 both years he could have been a world cham!

So I hope he will become World Champion with Ferrari and together with LH make sure that they also become the constructor champion. LH may win the following year................but first Charles!

Why does everything have to 'lead to F1' ? People don't play football to become one of twenty millionaire Man City players. Why can't kids and adults enjoy kart racing for what it is - a great sport ? I've been involved in kart racing for over 40 years [even raced against DC himself !] and like the thousands of people there don't have motorhomes, mechanics etc... and don't spend £100K/year ! Down through the years, the world's best kart drivers actually never stepped out of the sport - Mickey Allen, Terry Fullerton, Mike Wilson, Davide Fore, Massimiliano Orsini. If you stay in kart racing you will have the best time. 'The road to F1' will always lead to disappointment for virtually everyone that attempts it.
Mostly because its much more expensive to have kart racing hoby than playing football. That involves much bigger percent of kids who do kart racing who have (or/and their parrents) more or less realistic dream of becoming a pro. For football you need a pair of boots, a ball, 4 rocks and a field and you are good. For karting... Well i guess you know mare. I completely understand your point tho.
@@Medabg88 yeah but you also need to be birthed with, at least a halfway decent physical repertoire and cut from a certain fabric to play football, I dont buy into this idea at all that karting is less inclusive because it "can" be more expensive, I personally feel that many football, basketball and baseball players have far more privelaged lifestyles than any of their racing counterparts... youll still see more affluent families able to provide very expensive equipment and better opportunities to their players, this isnt exclusive to racing. Besides, just among the current grid, Hamilton, Piastri, Ocon, Perez and many throughout history have proven that if you are indeed quick, you can ascend without having any money. You can go to your local kart track and race, and if your truly fast then you will get recognized. Saying you dont have money to do so is an excuse.
because of aspiration and ambition. If you have those then the pinnacle is the aim. If not, then the level of dedication and commitment will decide where you end up. Not everyone who doesn't make it to F1 is disappointed especially if they know they went as far as they could. Horner and Wolff are examples
I tend to agree - its great to hear the ambition to foster talent from around the world, as by sheer weight of probability would suggest its highly unlikely any of the most talented or fastest drivers in the world are in F1 today given the barriers to entry and amount of wealth required to get there - F1 is in the rather ridiculous position of being a global sport where only 20 people are allowed to play. Take the young drivers in F1 today...Max, coming from and F1 dad and wealthy background, Lando...Billionaire dad, stroll....billionaire dad and so the list goes on. The likes of Max and lando are mega talented, unquestionably - but on a planet of 8.2 bn people the odds are stacked against them being the best out there, such is the barrier to entry for racing. The reality is Robs project could be a roaring success and you could have 50 of the most talented drivers on earth identified - the question is, then what? Motorsport has always been and always will be too expensive. The solution to foster talent and create a ladder needs to forget F1 and look at channeling talent through another lower cost path - perhaps a 1-make series where you'll truly find the best drivers in equal machinery, not just the F1 route of the best off-spring of a billionaire who had a flare for karting and deep pockets! - the problem then becomes would anyone care enough to watch!
For some reason, Ferrari seems to be the Reaper of World Champions. They promise drivers like Kimi, Vettel, and Hamilton another shot at the title to only disappoint them with a downward spiral in their careers. I’m hopeful Lewis can break this curse, but I would not be surprised if he doesn’t.
Agreed. It would be sensational to see Lewis win a championship there, although doubtful. I’ve reserved myself to just enjoy Hamilton v Leclerc, in whatever form that takes.
I gave up karting because it got too expensive. There’s talent out there but without sponsors you can’t get to F3, F2 or F1. Would Checo be at Red Bull without Telcel?
Charles will beat Hamilton is qualifying but in race pace Charles don’t have a chance Hamiltons driving style doesn’t suite 1 lap pace you cant do a fast lap while under steering with the these new generation cars also Hamilton has shown last season in a equal car to Charles he’s faster Than him he out drive him and always put distance between him and the Ferraris I think people don’t realise how good last season he finished 3rd in a car with no rear end he showed why he’s still the best on the grid
Leclerc is very strong in race pace and in 2023, the Ferrari was a terrible car in race pace and tyre wear, stop the bs. Not to mention that in Ferrari atm, whoever qualities ahead, gets priority, like we saw in Singapore 2023
Ferrari need driver leadership like a Niki, a Lewis or a Hawthorn. The problem is will the Scuderia listen to him?. Very Techy. Smedleys plans sound really great for new drivers, but F1 is so corporate led now I doubt it will influence the grid. I hope it does !
FERRARI has their own way of working…LH is not gonna change anything. And LH isn’t the techy driver to lead the technical side either. Nothing is gonna change next season. Simply more of the same as the last seasons.
@@Redlingstein Vasseur did change many things already , so this is not the Alonso / Ferrari era.... Feedback with Lewis will evolve and settings will be different as well Now all depend on the 2025 car, but if good results it will help Ferrari to change more and more...
Eddie, Lewis never thought or said anything that alluded to him walking all over Charles. And honestly i don't understand why you would try to contrast Charles "the nice guy" Leclerc to im guessing Lewis "the not so nice guy" Hamilton. I wouldn't use word such as you being "hateful" but that was totally unnecessary. That wasn't asking a question, that was easily trying to cast Lewis in a negative light by contrasting both drivers, not fair. Absolutely nothing thus far from Lewis career has suggested he is not a nice guy. In addition, F1 drivers are not paid to be nice guys, they are paid to drive F1 cars fast, really fast everything else is irrelevant.
@@richardashton5015 I wouldn't bet on that, we know how Liberty Media likes to manipulate racing to create a 'story'. The biggest story they could 'help' create would be Lewis winning his 8th in what would be Ferraris first in what is it? 20 years or so?.... how much of a story would that be worth?
If Lewis was in a Ferrari this year (with full team backing) he would’ve won the championship hands down. Look what he did to Max in a couple of races with a sometimes slower car. He is the best all rounder in F1. Can’t believe people struggle to recognise this. Max cannot handle pressure I both with car problems and close competition with a mega racer like Hamilton or Alonso
19/10/24 I'm watching the Red Bull cockpit adjustment carry on. How are we supposed to believe that all the teams don't make major changes between the end of qualifying and the race when Riccardo's lap record of all drivers and all buggies was 5 seconds slower than qualifying. The difference in time is like racing against a car with three wheels. There's some fuckery-a-foot.
Because the building blocks have been stacking up in the right direction for a long time now and eventually things will dramatically improve. It’s not a sudden change but a progressive thing that happens in the background.
Lewis has a natural, sweet side. I think he will become close with the team and Charles, while still able to fight on track with Charles. This could turn out to be some really amazing chemistry, team-wide. Most of us have been through this in our lives: we fight like hell with our close buddies on the court, which actually builds camaraderie, and we are best buddies off court.
Lewis is already yesterday’s news. He doesn’t have the time to turn Ferrari around the way Schumacher did. It’s just so he can say he drove for Ferrari because Mercedes wouldn’t concede to his demands. Mercedes value team over individuals.
Oh good I thought, a new video. Well eventually I realised that it was some kind of edit of an old video. If you have to edit an old video for some reason please mark it so in the TITLE. If you are chopping up longer videos to post them again as shorter videos (cos "that's what the audience likes") well let me tell you that I will very soon get fed up of that. Sorting through a channel trying to figure out what short videos are re-casts of long videos I have already seen is not something I am going to do.
Why? What would be the point. Oh i get it!, just so people who think like you get to keep saying how washed he is or he can only win in the best car. Why do you think Alonso keeps changing teams? He is looking for a team in which he can win again.
Ferrari should know by now that they are the No 1 ICONIC team in F1. I don't think Lewis Hamilton going there will make any difference. ALL F.1 drivers WANT TO WIN!.....and given the 'right' car, most of them would!
Unless it’s made mandatory, you’ll be waiting a long time. I’m 42 and only remember one female driver taking part. This was 92 I think, her car was bad it was a Tyrell or brabham or something. She actually qualified for a race 2. Back in the day when you needed to be within 107% of the pole sitter. Which was no mean feat as Mansell was a second quicker than his team mate and sometimes 2 seconds quicker than Senna. If they’re is a woman quick enough she’ll be in F1 in a heartbeat. There has been a female rally champion before. Danica Patrick has won an Indycar race. There is no reason that a woman can’t be fairly competitive. But they will struggle on the physical side. You need incredible neck and upper body strength with so much stamina and cardio. That’s what will hold them back.
@@smith2781Amati was mediocre at best in F3000. Patrick won that Indycar race at Montegi since many of that team was racing at Long Beach (Champ Car teams was transitioning into Indycar). She wasn’t the fastest but won on her team’s strategy
Signing Hamilton is not the answer to Ferrari’s problems. What needs to happen a change of approach, it needs to be ruthless like the Schumacher/Tost era, not care what other teams think, push the limits, especially with the FIA. Have two drivers who care, are hungry and not ao mistske prone!
People forget that Schumacher brought along most of his personnel at Benetton (who helped him with his 2 titles) when he joined Ferrari, that’s where Alonso and Vettel failed
@godwindracing6056 yep he managed to get Rory Byrne who is absolutely the equal of Adrian Newey and Ross Brawn. Then worked absolutely super hard to galvanise the team.around him. He even had a house near the factory to stay at so he could test at will or be in the factory. He was Ferrari through and through
I think at this stage of his career Lewis will be up against it. His qualifying pace is way off what it was 5-6 years ago and although he’s still superior to Charles in every other area, he’s not gonna be able to close that gap in the way that he can against George, who’s race pace leaves a lot to be desired
Eddie, keeping that racism going lol. Lewis is going to Ferrari because he wants to fight for a championship, he wouldn't leave Mercedes if he didn't believe he can fight for a championship. Leclerc is rapid, but he constantly makes tiny mistakes over a season. Leclerc has had his time at Ferrari, and he hasn't made it work. Ferrari loves him, but he's only won them what 8 races?
Ferrari never had a competitive car when leclerc joined them except in the first half of 2022, and when the car was competitive, the reliability was horrendous
No big deal either way is it. Charles is super fast but needs to drive like a champion for the entire season, so who better to spend a couple of seasons driving with than someone who's done that 7 times before. Hasn't done George any harm for sure, he seems ready to go on his own journey now.
Still an 8 time world champion😊 Schooling George in most races where he doesn’t get sabotaged by his own team. Quali needs improving but he will come good. Bring on next year. CL is fast over a lap, but inconsistent and still makes a lot of mistakes in races…..we’ll see. Love them both and I think they will work gr8 together. GR will struggle being the lead driver next year imho💀
I can't see Hamilton "walking on Italian water" anytime soon. His singing was not nearly as well received in Italy as the British meejah want us to believe. If you think "Brit bias" is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet. If Hamilton doesn't deliver the Italian press will eviscerate him mercilessly. Michael Schumacher went to Ferrari at the age of 27, in his prime and on the back of two consecutive titles. It took him five years to win his first world championship with Ferrari. Many questioned whether he was the right man for the job in the early years, he was "beatified" only much later when the title floodgates eventually opened. I'm looking forward to the inevitable clash of CULTures between Hamilton's acolytes and the Tifosi.
@@Jackster31 7 time, 6 times if you exclude 2008. Anyways at OP, Lewis Hamilton probably had his best season in 2021 even though he didn't win, so he's 3 years past his prime now.
David mentioned a female F1 champion. I'd be curious to hear his views on the feasibility of that. If F1 is an athletic competition where strength and conditioning are vital, then aren't women at a biological disadvantage? I'm thinking about cardiovascular and muscular advantages men have (neck strength being an obvious one in high speed corners, and endurance in short-medium distance running). Not saying a woman who's good enough shouldn't be allowed to compete, just that I'm not convinced they'll be able to. Maybe there's data to show otherwise, but if not, isn't the better solution to promote women's racing to be given the same status and prestige as men's as we (try to) do in running our tennis? This way, women get to have their own sporting icons and inspirations instead of playing the role of also-rans in a mixed-sex competition.
None of the girls/woman are currently good enough to get into F3 or even F2 and be competitive. Sophia Floersch buys her seat and drives at the back…just as she did in DTM. There are simply no girls good enough to win the karting championships….let alone go to F3…
@Redlingstein I think Danica Patrick won a championship or two at national level, but not sure beyond that. I can't see a reason why a girl couldn't win at junior level karting (before puberty, boys don't have the physical advantage they gain later), it's just where physicality becomes a big factor that I suspect the advantage is unfair. Michele Mouton won the WRC, but that isn't quite the same as open-wheel racing at 200mph.
Testosterone and other androgen are big factors. Aside from steroid/hormones enhancement, this simply is the accepted advantage for male athletes. But nutrition science has come a long way, there are certainly natural ways to improve androgen production, just not at the same level as steroid. And what type of fuel you consume to optimized your metabolism and how you can store and extract the energy for particular type of demand/activity. (Eg. I would not eat a low carb diet if I was a sprinter or doing sport that require short burst of explosive energy.) There are much more male competitors so it is much easier to highlight a few female racers who don't perform well while not realizing there are many male competitors who also didn't made it. As mentioned this is something that take generations, in order to build up a stock of female racers who started karting at 4yo and doing it full time, and overtime there is a bigger pool to select from. As technology advances, with things like power steering, this has neutralizing effect. There also need a cultural change, every time there is a news article on a particular female driver, we already know what most of the comments will be, seeing this from the outside is enough to dissuade girls from taking this career path. Anyway I rather see more girls go into rallying, there is much less toxicity from the press and social media there compared to single seater.
@erikahuxley I don't think you're advocating hormone supplements to equalise the playing field between men and women, but it's a non-starter anyway. There may be technical advances later which equalise things, but the sport is intended to be for high performance athletes nowadays. As long as it is, it seems more beneficial for women to have their own category (unless there's data proving there's no advantage to having androgen when it comes to F1). There's no need to compete with men. Serena Williams would lose every point to Djokavic, but she's equally respected in her own category. If open-wheel racing can bring that and focus on women's racing, that'll go a long way to enticing young women into the sport, I think.
Hamilton already won more than his real potential, 7 wdc and 105 in wich i 4/5 of these were won in lack of competition conditions or being assisted by á lieutenant teammate… by himself, driving in seasons with other 2,3 competitors, Hamilton was history by 2017 in the best scenario case

Get real, Hamilton is history, being beaten consistently by Russell right now. Why Brit’s cannot move on is beyond me, the ongoing favouring of British driver is harmful, start presenting reality. Never would F1 when driver like Prost, Lauda, great great names have continued with older drivers while the young guns that drive very fast and daring stood ready to jump into a seat. Because the british media is very toxic … Is another example here, Alonso who last year was a beast as long as AM was able to be competitive … but british journalists were too busy to create records to make Lewis look good, like first british driver to have driven for Mercedes under number 44, first ever f1 driver to have a dog called Roscoe or first ever driver to be called Hamilton 😂

It's almost cute to listen to Rob and his love for the driver Lewis. Despite the reality of everyday life that Lewis was also clearly a slightly overrated driver, entirely thanks to his 6 world titles with Mercedes. Because his fans seem to have forgotten that the dominance of the Mercedes team within the history of Formula 1 is on a lonely height! And of course guys Lewis is a great talent and has had a fantastic career. With the emphasis on had because he is now over the hill and maybe with an equally dominant Ferrari as his Mercedes was at the time, he will still be able to win a championship, although I also very much doubt that Lewis will be able to beat a Charles leClerc.

I rank Charles higher than George. George came to Lewis's team and beat him far and square. Lewis is going to Charles team and will probably be the 2nd driver. Charles/Carlos is the stronger pairing.
He didnt. 22 Lewis took up testing duties for the benefit of the team and to his own detriment. 23 when all things where equal George got beaten. 24 Merc does everything in their power to prop up George and hurt Lewis. Still he is leading...
The difference between Schumacher and Hamilton is that Schumacher had to build his own go-kart to compete and use old tires that were used and thrown away, Hamilton had money and had all his Go-Karts already built and had new tires and equipment. Schumacher understood the mechanics and could work with his engineers and tell them exactly what he was feeling in the car and to pinpoint problems. Hamilton is nowhere near that level that Schumacher was, regardless of the number of wins, championships, or records he has. Schumacher is, was, and always will be the better driver and the greatest of all time.
biased hamilton had a broken kart that was 2nd hand and was still beating everyone hamilton did not have money at all. schumacher did not build the cars back then they relied on driver feedback becuase they didnt have specific sensors in the cars. Now the engineers dont care about drivers feedback they only care about sensor data and simulations. Lewis told the engineers about the feeback of the car and they didnt listen to him. 2 years later the engineers listened to lewis which is crazy. Lewis also experimented with many different setups in the car in 22. stop being biased lewis easily is better than schumacher
What a load of misinformation. Yes Lewis got picked up by McLaren in karting at age 13, but he started at age 8 with a 10 years out of date kart and was winning. His Dad was a rail worker, not exactly Lawrence Stroll. Plus every driver on the grid understands how the mechanics of the cars work. No one makes it to F1 without a good idea of how to setup a car

Leclerc will not be competitive against SLH once he settles in on the car
Ferrari need driver leadership like a Niki, a Lewis or a Hawthorn.
The problem is will the Scuderia listen to him?. Very Techy.
Smedleys plans sound really great for new drivers, but F1 is so corporate led now I doubt it will influence the grid. I hope it does !

CHARLES WANTS TO WIN…..FOR YEARS NOW…..
Why the heck would Ferrari be suddenly functioning differently in 2025…..
Because the building blocks have been stacking up in the right direction for a long time now and eventually things will dramatically improve. It’s not a sudden change but a progressive thing that happens in the background.
Nobody gets faster with age. I hope Lewis proves me wrong.
Ferrari has done okay this year.
The real change has been Mclarean and their surge in performance.

(Eg. I would not eat a low carb diet if I was a sprinter or doing sport that require short burst of explosive energy.)
There are much more male competitors so it is much easier to highlight a few female racers who don't perform well while not realizing there are many male competitors who also didn't made it.
He's in a dream world. He's drinking the DEI overload. This craziness effects the media

Coulthard multiple times race winner, hill world champion but you want more experience?
@@rigomrtz unfortunately they talk Sh!t, can’t be objective and have to talk up Brit’s only. Have you ever heard of guys like Massa, Seb, Rosberg, Prost, Mike, who happen to not be Brit’s, supporting only British drivers, we are tired of everything British, you do know USA company now owns F1. It’s called objective commentary. I turn the sound off when theses partisan commentators are on air, don’t need to hear it.
Easy... keep the driver's they have. Don't allow an over-the-hill driver Lewis Hamilton to be a part of the team simple.
He beat Alonso in his rookie season, how is he overrated 💀
Three drivers for being the best overrated e.g., Schumacher, Vettel, and Max have in commons:
1. Perceived or being hyped by many as the GOATes when their team dominated the Sport (F1).
2. Never have a top 3 drivers as teammates while they dominated the oppositions and their teammates.
3. Granted Privilege No. 1
4. Once upon time they get champion material or at least decent teammates, they get beaten or even dominated overall.
5. Their fans will come with tons of EXCUSES and Myths the like of Mojo lost, lack of motivation, ageing catching up, injuries encountered, being some years away from F1, etc. when their idol show subpar performance (getting beaten or even dominated by their teammates in future). It is a reality in check for any overrated drivers.
🤣🤣🤣
@@daverudaat last. A fan who KNOWS.
@seanhynds8482 you must be an American fan to not know how Lewis started. Have to admit though, posts like yours are always funny to read because you obviously have no interest in researching the facts before spouting such nonsense that even Hamilton haters would laugh at.
That’s the dumbest shit I’ve heard about Lewis yet.
@@speed6725well Lewis is a joke team lh
Ferrari need Max rather than Lewis. A best driver on the grid in his prime rather than a good but over rated driver past it
Overrated?? That coke youre snorting must be good stuff. Also, Ferrari do not have a driver problem, they just dont understand these regs the way Mclaren do.
@@khalidmartie5854facts are fact's. But you team lh are mentally ill and don't understand logic.

Lewis Hamilton won’t do anything for ferrari. He will be middle of the pack at best. Charles and Lewis will clash. It’s not going to work. This is a bad move for Ferrari. This is why I stop watching f1
If this is why you stop watching F1, then you not a fan you plonker 😂
lol
a glass sphere? positive thinking makes happy.. even if it was you I would say this guy is going to do well
