- EQUILIBRIUM is a film that documents my run through the Ballito Pro this year.
Being the defending champion definitely had a lot of pressure on me as well as the fact that there were Jbay Open Wilcards available which was a ticket straight into a Championship Tour event which has been a life long dream of mine.
Surfing is a brutal sport and the ocean will always have the last say. The event did not go my way, with my surfing feeling better than ever I was obviously extremely frustrated with the loss.
Besides for not getting the result I wanted, it was an all round amazing trip being able to spend it with my girlfriend experiencing beautiful moments and new places together which was all that really mattered in the end. Not to mention the incredible waves Ballito had to offer before and after the event, it definitely made the trip to Durban that much sweeter!
