I bought "Rocket to Russia" as a teenager in 1978 and I knew I was onto something. Greatest band ever. Some were more talented, but NONE were more real.

I remember watching this, I actually got to see the Ramones around that time at an old club called the Unicorn in Houston TX.....There was no parking left so I parked in the ditch and luckily didn't get my ride towed. Was an awesome show and one of the greatest PUNK bands to get to see.

Have to love it- at _least_ *5* Marshall heads and cabs, and 2 full SVTs!!! I used to go see them when I was a teenager, when Dee Dee was still in the Ramones, and my ears would ring for *days* after their shows. (Not saying that's a good thing- although it was fun as shit!!!)
Joey at his most gorgeous... That smile at 3:57, oof! Stevie whateva was intimidated, that's why he tried to "power move" on Joey. Joey couldn't have cared less tho. He was just chatting with his buddy Lemmy a few days prior. Ramones were way too cool for all a dis. Miss them!

The songs they played they usually didn't play fast. Two new songs, and one old song, which can't physically be played much faster than it is here.
Yes exactly. Never liked how they got ridiculously faster as the late 80's-90's went on. According to Joey, that was Johnny's doing. Took all the soul out of the older songs when they rushed thru him.
@@bluesoddity2094Johnny wanted every performance faster than the night before. Oddly enough, despite his unwillingness to share merchandise profits with Richie, Johnny soon learned that they could play live a lot faster after Richie joined the band.

Yep....totally. I had the chance to see their last show at the Hollywood Paladium but I'm glad I didn't. The whole audience did nothing but mosh and it would have ruined it for me. And no Dee Dee. If I was going to see these guys and celebrate how much I love them, it would HAVE to be with Dee Dee.
Dee Dee sucked playing live except his iconic 1,2,3,4. Besides that, no backing vocals, sloppy playing and ultimately lost interest in the band. CJ did it better. But let's give Dee Dee all the credits for writing such amazing songs.
Damn, CJ on that bass. Love Dee Dee, R.I.P. Ramones forever!

Mondo bizzaro is the best album they got.....from begining to end...is not a bad song in it.....but is also the most commercial album.....still no radio play....so it make it a great album
I really love this album too. But with songs like Heidi is a Headcase and Cabbies on Crack it’s hard to imagine it being too commercial. I would have to say the most commercial sounding track would be the worn with Jean Beauvoir. What do you think? Bonzo etc

I've never been a big fan of Late night television but I would have loved seems this episode as the Ramones are one of my all time favorite bands and I love Steven Seagal movies all the way until Exit Wounds. I don't care for his direct-to-video movies at all but I love all his films from Warner Brothers.

I find it ironic that the strongest language in any of their songs (aside from "Warthog") was only used in the TITLE of one song (someone correct me if I'm wrong, but they never used anything stronger than "hell" or "damn" [aside from "Warthog," again], right?).
