The Great Locomotive Chase

- The greatest video in the history of Maddox’s Trains is here!!
On April 12th, 1862, a northbound train on the Western & Atlantic railroad is led by a 4-4-0 American type locomotive named the “General”. There was an unusually large group of men, 22 in fact, that had boarded the train at Marietta, Georgia. The next stop along the line was the Lacy Hotel at Big Shanty, Georgia where passengers and crew would get off the train for breakfast. This seemingly normal day on the railroad would eventually become a fantastic tale about daringness, persistence, and determination. It is one of the most important and exciting events in American Civil War history. This is the “Great Locomotive Chase”
This video is very special to me as the chase itself is a huge reason why I love trains, so I thought it would be appropriate to one day make a video about it, even if it took me two months to make.
All music belongs to Disney.
Thank you so much for watching!! Развлечения
2:41 that was really smooth
Thank you! I spent a lot of time on the stop motion so I’m glad someone liked it!
It’s nice to see a Lego animation of something that has happened in my local area. (I live in Gordon County)
I also live along the W&A right of way (Whitfield county)

Sweet video!

I will try to!
@@MaddoxsTrains thanks😆
Great video.
Thank you!
I like it 😍
W vid
Thanks!
Awesome job! I've seen the real General on display in a museum in Kennesaw (Formerly Big Shanty) and your model actually does decently at representing her in her current form. I plan to eventually make a model of the General in her original 1862 appearance, but I'm short on parts and money right now, so it will have to wait.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed. I’ve also seen the General in person. I actually based this model off of the General in the movie “The Great Locomotive Chase.” I was originally going to make the model like the General and Texas’ 1862 appearance, but I didn’t have the parts for it, such as for the grey boiler and dark green cab.
@@MaddoxsTrains I love that movie, I instantly recognized the music and the sound effects. Your models do an excellent job of representing the ones in the movie. Don't worry about not having the correct parts, your models still look great, and improving them would be fairly easy if you decide to do it. Great job again.
@@chehalisvalleyrailproducti8913 Thanks again!
This is gonna be epic!
It sure is!
Epik
@@toysallyear Thank you!
@@MaddoxsTrainsAmazing! I loved it! I have a question tho. Did you make another MOC of a 4-4-0 but with a different smoke box, or did you use the same MOC but change up the smoke box?
@@TheGs4_4449Sorry I haven’t replied to this comment lol I haven’t looked back on this in a while. To answer your question both the General and Texas are the same MOC. To make it the Texas I just added a different tender body, the small change to the smokebox, and some other small changes
There is an orchestra version of this
Yep! And it’s really good!
Can you do a tutorial on that steam locomotive and it's tender please?
I highly doubt that I will do a tutorial on this steam locomotive, but theres always a possibility
would you do Union Pacific 844 Train Chase music Video.
I have no Idea what that is, and this video isn’t a music video
@@MaddoxsTrains Yes it is Train Chase is in Wallace and Gromit by Julian Nott
and In the Begining 844 blows the whistle carring Cheyanne frontier days express.
colab ? i have a rgs locomotive
Can I see your RGS locomotive on your channel?
God, I'm getting tired of Legos.
Well I do post rail fanning videos and model train stuff, and this channel is mainly where I show off my lego train stuff. It’s my choice about what I want to post, not the viewers.
