I've just passed my test 💯 all thanks to you!!! I struggled to grasp dosage calculation for the past 4 months but your video helped to understand it clearly yesterday and I kept practicing the whole of yesterday and aced my test today. It's G-d's doing I stumbled across your channel. I am so grateful.❤️❤️❤️
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my password. I love any help you can give me
I absolutely loved this video; I just wished it wasn't so fast! When learning something new my nerves get in the way and so when listening to something too fast, I feel it adds to my anxiety. I watched it 3x's to really absorb your teaching. Thank you so much!
You made my the computations easier coz I have difficulties in calculating drugs. It will gonna increase my confidence to compute and pass the board exam! Thank you so much 🙏 RN 2023
You made this seem so easy. I’m starting pharm next week and just thought I’d get a heads up. I suck at math but you made this super simple. Thank you. You have a new subscriber
I have been watching your video a long time ago and they are so helpful and you make the content easy to understand , you have made most of my subject easier and reasonable , please don't stop love and respect
Thanks you very much, I'm from France and here we are not allowed to use calculators and there is not a lot of "good" video on the subject so i'm glad I found you Keep going !
I wish I stumbled upon your channel way earlier!! Thank you so much😭❤️❤️👏👏God bless you for blessing us with this simplified and easy-to-understand method.
I was taught to start by putting down what you are looking for on the left side of the equation, then the equal sign, then put the given data on the right side starting with the given containing the numerator of the left side. Then place the other given data in order to cancel units exactly as you have done, the the math. This way requires little thinking while getting the correct answer. For example using your 1st problem: ml= 1000ml/ 1 liter X 1.2 liter/1 5th problem ml= 1ml/10mg x .3mg/1kg x 65kg Been doing it like this 40 years.
@@ShaneIvic so the given is the data you have. Example...how much does it cost ($) to drive 100 miles? "Given" data: Gas costs $4/gallon Your car gets 20 miles per gallon Setup: looking for dollars on left side so I put $4 in numerator 1st on the right side then just alternate units in numerator and denominator to cancel everything but $. It's hard to explain with a phone keyboard, sorry. $= $4/gallon x 1 gallon/20 miles x 100 miles Solve: ($4 x 100) / 20 $400/20 = $20 Hope it helps.
@@Jslav-jj2xq Thank you, A little easier yes. I ok with most except still struggle with flow rates of like "gtts/minute" e.g. You have an IVPB of ranitidine (Zantac) 50 mg in 50 mL D5W to run over 30 minutes. The tubing has a drip factor of 15. How many drops per minute will you set on the IV infusion controller?
@@MagicinNursingTeam yes! You explained it perfectly! But currently not the most comfortable doing Dos + Calc but after watching your video I was able to do them more comfortably
You just saved a nursing student’s life and calmed her anxiety about med math…tysm for explaining this well with positive energy!!! ❤️💙💛😄🇵🇭

@@ShaneIvic so the given is the data you have.

$= $4/gallon x 1 gallon/20 miles x 100 miles

$400/20 = $20
Hope it helps.
