I've been listening to Bob Marley's music for 4 decades. I know his history, the songs, the lyrics, the important players. For me, the film was like a poem about his heart and his life's meaning from his perspective. I was mesmerized every second of this film. Every actor brought their very best, and the script was amazing. If I tell you I cried only once, I would be lying.

I watched it last week and the thing that surprised me the most was that Bob Marley was biracial. I had no idea about that fact until I looked up a picture of his father. I agree with you, the story would have worked better as a miniseries without the constant flashbacks.

Hopefully, the Amy Winehouse movie will be better even though they haven't released the runtime yet since it comes out in May. Kingsley did a good job although I felt like someone else could have done the role justice, for me, I would have either picked Bob’s grandson Skip or an up-and-coming biracial Jamaican actor.

bob marley never came to Marley and Plant to beg money for a record delivery truck because at that time they never had records to deliver. Him and peter came for any help but because of his appearance he was turned back. One of the contractors who worked for marley and plant game bob some money but not much. everybody in trench town knew he was related to the Marley and plant owners and he often visited their construction sites for work. At this time bob had no interest in material things.

@WatchMojo...in the documentary "Who shot the sherrif" , eye witnesses said that jungle justice was served on two of the assassins when local gangsters rounded them up and in the presence of Bob and Taylor, the assassins confessed to taking part in the shooting. They allegedly asked Bob for forgiveness. Bob was said to have forgiven them and, even begged the local gangsters to spare the lives of the two culprits but the fate of the two culprits was already sealed. Bob and Taylor left after being assured that nothing would happen to thr two culprits but after they left, one of the assassins was hanged and the other, shot in the head.
Both assassins were said to have confessed that the leader of the assassination squad was big time gangster and druglord Jim Brown paid by Edward Seaga's Jamaican Labour Party (JLP).
If this is true then, Bob did meet two of the people hired to assassinate him.
