The look on Matt's face, pure kid in a candy store. The look on Sona's face, just admiration. The way Conan is so relaxed. Javier has amazing impact on the room.
I LOVE how Javier did that silent laugh at the end. It’s like when you let it all out in your laugh you can barely catch your breath. So funny and so genuine
Charlie last week, Javier this week. Team Coco is bringing nothing but BANGERS lately. Loving the beginning of Conan's "Third act". I grew up watching Late Night, then Conan on TBS. RUclips and this podcast is the perfect venue for Conan to have these amazing genuine conversations while also allowing his humor, and the humor of those he's talking with to shine through. Also, seeing the evolution of Sona and Matt has been a true pleasure as well!
It's funny how age modifies things ... I have certainly watched plenty of Simpsons eps but I'm not a "fan" (I bet I haven't seen 10% of the 750 eps) but I liked it and I was watching SNL regularly (if not obsessively) when he was writing there ... but I don't associate him with either show ... and then I didn't care for him on Late Night. Now, whether or not that was a Not-Dave thing or what but just never got into it. I assume it's because I'm the same age as Conan (with a couple months). But then early this year, I happened to watch an ep here with Lizzy Caplan ... and I am totally and completely hooked. Don't think I've missed an ep here since and have explored the back catalog. I have not yet listened to the actual podcast simply because I'm behind on too many podcasts as it is but when things calm down in the fall, it goes in the feed reader ... OK, it's *in* the feed reader now, I'm just not yet listening. He's a good interviewer (like Letterman), he's an improv pro (incluso en español), he even plays guitar. I'm just bowled over and now regret not watching more of the NBC show.
@@plaws0 I was 7 when Conan started late night. By the time I was a teen (1999-2000) Late night was running on all cylinders. It was the first 'late night' show I'd felt had my sense of absurdist humor. I've been a fan of his since.
@@bogwitchsophie I was 18 when Dave started Late Night (prehistoric times for you!) and ... same. :-) But I'm making up for it now with *Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend!* Well, at least the "televised" portions. I'll get to the actual podcasts eventually.
Can't wait for the second part of Denis Villeneuve's rendition of Dune. Having Javier Bardem play the role of Stilgar was a stroke of genius. Great guest on the podcast, thanks Team Coco🙌🙌🙌
When Conan mentioned that 'it's never the thing that you think will be great, but often the opposite' is a perfect example of why one needs to take chances on things that you think may not work out or that make you feel uncomfortable. It reminded me of something that I heard recently, 'the only difference between the fool and the hero is success, the leap of faith is the same'.
I think Javier has been one of the funniest and best guests. I really loved this episode and the "Eduardo!" jokes split me laughing! Javier has very insightful thoughts and good humour!
This show keeps getting better and better. Team Coco’s redemption. Show’s that Conan’s on another level to people like Seinfeld and the rest of the comics that consider themselves the “best”.
Wth made you bring up Seinfeld? Conan is neither an actor nor a standup comedian, and Seinfeld never was a host or a writer. Not that i disagree that Conan is clearly a kinder and more honest person, but it just seems really random. Also redemption for what?
@@AsiBoy Are you sure you know what redemption means? If Leno started doing something useful, which will never happen, then he would redeem himself. Conan doesn't need a redemption arc since he never did anything wrong to begin with.
Love hearing about Javier’s talented acting family. Super fascinating and he is such a phenomenal actor in his own right. Great experience watching When Night Falls and of course with Johnny Depp. And when Conan starts speaking Spanish, so funny. ❤️♥️ 🎭 🎞️ 🎥 🇪🇸👑💎⚜️🏆🎬 🎧 🎙️😆
Shows you that nepobabies have been in existence in show business even across cultures for a long time and some even have Oscars on their mantelpieces. Social media just coined a new name for a very old, accepted reality.
I've seen a few interviews with Javier over the years, and he's always come off as a nice, happy person, but he never looks like he's enjoying himself in an interview as much as he does whenever he's with Conan.
Due to his accent, I initially thought that Javier had accompanied his sister to her ‘novitiate’ and was somehow discovered there. It wasn’t until Conan said, “You had to go to the audition with her!” that I fully figured it out.
Javier Bardem is such an amazing guy. Conan you gotta make the trip to Spain with him as you promised on the podcast!!
YES, definitely. Spain is such a beautiful and multifaceted country, love it... I mean: I second this motion✋
Please take Jordan to make it extra spicy
Conan O'Brien must go to Spain

I love how Conan can make people laugh and Javiers laugh seems so sincere.

He really is just happy to be there and loving laughing
Conan going straight for Eduardo was just pure gold 🤣
I've never seen him interviewed, he's so fun and honest
I love seeing Javier laughing hard... never seen before 🤣👌

Love that Javier addresses the other two when he speaks and not just talks to Conan like every other guest does.

I like this spin on it, too: “You don’t have to be brave if you could just be stupid instead” lol

Can’t get over Conan’s pimp shirt, extra ring, bracelet…and I sense he’s sporting a little Joop to make the outfit complete…
Javier has made so many great performances but I still think Before Night Falls is his best & most haunting.
Conan O'Brien needs a Friend-O.
Conan necesita un amigo
(Wrapper crinkles ominously)
What business of yours is it how do I feel about being Conan O’Brien’s friend?
@@emu_warrior Si! Muchos amigos!!!
Javier was one of the best Bond villains. He seems fun to hang out with.
Man, to be Eduardo in that room lol. My soul would’ve left my body being so elated by it all
Wow! I'm so excited to see this. My favorite actor!
I watched “before the night falls” because Johnny Depp was in it. And then discovered Javier. Good film.
"Bonbon". One of my favorite Depp performances, along with Ed Wood.

Never thought of Javier Bardem as such but he’s by definition a nepobaby!😄

Conan s Spanish where amazing and on time
I love watching this so much
I love this podcast on every level, but I have to hand it to Conan he’s become a wonderful interviewer.
Thank you Conan
There was talk... OF GERBILS!
He was incredible in Before Nightfall.
I lovedddd that movie and the book 😢😍🤗
the interrogation scene.... givin' me the vapours!
Gerbil talk needs to be a podcast
Conan tirou o Espanhol do bolso hahaha. Muito bom.
Before Night Falls was a game changer...
That was the first thing i saw him in!
Wow.. amazing… I learnt one thing:
Eduardo’s never safe. 😂
Eduardo😂😂😂😂
This is great 😂😂😂

Orgullo ❤❤
EDUARDO!
Javier is morphing into Todd Phillips.
“Y’know it’s funny…” Conan starts off so often with this line, and what follows is never funny! 😂
My wife does the same thing
Funny ironic.
Actually it is. "Funny" in the sense that it's weird or unusual.
It's like when I tell my wife " I love you but... "
Flip a coin and call it mfers
so funny.
I hate conan needs a friend..I hate podcasts with actors and "comedians" ..but H Bardem in before night falls is pure magic
Dear Matt,
Beard?
Why does this look nothing like Bardem? He have a nose job?
He did a very long time ago, when he was in his 20s reconstructive surgery in the face after being attacked.
