I picked this one up last month, it's perfect. The fader isnt actually bleeding, I had the same issue. the elite is shipped with the fader cut in point set to something like 0.5mm. I changed it to 3.0mm and its perfect.
Cleveland Terry ... I agree no perfect one yet I’m still using my bulletproof Rane 62 & serato dj love it but when ever I get another witch I’m not in a rush it will be the Rane 70!

been a fan of Reloop for a while.. Im glad you reviewed it.. Rane has always been my #1.. and I am DEF not one of these Pioneer fan boys in 2020.. hahah
After picking up a Seventy, I’d say the Mag Fours were the most underwhelming feature of it. Just not smooth coming from Innofader Pros and Minis. The design and technical build is just old and simple. Too much lubing and regular maintenance work to keep them running. However, I was blown away by the sound design, it is just soooo good. I was also considering the Elite for a while, but this review just highlighted my doubts about just a bit too many compromises to reach a certain price point. I still practice my cuts on regular vinyl, and still listen to my record collection (and have fun mixing digital and analogue) and sound levels and external FX (especially delay and echo), or lack of them, are a real deal breaker for me. But I seriously think Elite is very well tweaked for a specific hobbyist audience who can live with it’s minor shortcomings. Nice review! 💯🤙
This is interesting, I went from a nuo 2.0 with an innofader in it to the seventy and tbh I kinda like the mag fours a bit better. You can have them be lighter but they still have a heavier sort of weight to 'em, I also like the bigger curved fader cap a lot. Haven't had to lube mine yet in almost the 4 months I've had it.
Great review as always. One question though- what about sound quality in comparison to the rane and s9? Often overlooked point but I’ve noticed significant differences in the warmth and character of different mixers.
@ClevelandTerry Wow, you just said the same thing i was thinking when i was typing this. 🤯 The mirror effect doesn't make sense to me too & lack of paddles. Excellent review💥👍
As always good content, i am torn between the reloop and the Rane. The main reason at this point is because a few years back while I was using both Serato and VDJ I had the option of using either or but I had really started focusing more on VDJ and so that being said, I know VDJ has done a great job in adapting as they always do but on these high end mixers i am a bit more critical on purchase.I was never crazy on the Rane outputs, i felt they were not high enough on the outputs, my Mixars Duo xlr outputs are ridiculously hot so I had gotten use to that, so I am still not really sure yet but but I like both brands.
i know im randomly asking but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any tips you can give me
@Lyric Maximilian i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The Reloop Elite is far cheaper than the Pioneer & Rane here in Australia, even after the recent price hikes due to the currency exchange rates, although that recovered but prices stayed high. Doh!!! Thanks for your video. Cheers!!!
on the aux output an attenuater might be able to fix the output levels.More wires but that might help or a small studio mixer if your live streaming .Behringer do some good ones.
@Cleveland Terry, hey man great review. But do you think not having those toggle paddle switches like on the djms9 and even the cheaper beginner's numark scratch mixer is a dealbreaker? I love those paddle switches and when Elite left those out I was disappointed!! Anyways good stuff!
I’ve had the ELITE for about 2 yrs now with absolutely no problems. My only complaint is.....I would of like to have the performance mode pads on top of cue pads. When I use my channel faders for scratching, I hit the performance mode pads with fingers. Not a big problem. Just need to be careful with my big hands.
Excellent review as usual. I do disagree with one part. I don't think it would be good to cram any controls into the lower area of the mixer. That space between the xfader and the decks is left intentionally for turntablists. This seems to be designed as a battle mixer, so it makes sense to keep the bottom clear. I know I'm in the minority with the preference for mirrored layouts, but that also fits my workflow. If you tend to learn things spatially instead of absolute positions the mirrored layout feels better. The distance from the xfader to the channel fader to the fx controls has the same feel on left and right.
Noticed you’ve been live streaming on multiple platforms excluding Mixcloud ; why? Also, have you experienced any problems with their customer support? Bank issues?
The crossfader audio bleed is an instant deal breaker for me. Especially after already buying a Reloop Kut that had so much bleed I had to return it. Come on people. We should be demanding more from these companies that want 2K for a 2 channel mixer! Rane put out a crossfader with ZERO bleed 20 fricking years ago!! Don't tell me these companies like Pioneer or Reloop can't figure out how to make good faders without audio bleed. They just don't want to because they know most dj's will just roll over and fork out more money for an inferior product.
When you was reviewing the prime4 u was saying the BLUE data cord was a basic USB cord.. ITS NOT. You can't use any other STANDERD USB CABLE WITH IT . Unless Denon has changed it SENCE it's release date. But the reveiw was on point tho . I tried to use a regular USB cable cous I got a fancy cable I wanted to use but it dint work
I’ve used it with multiple chords and never had an issue with any of them. I’m not sure where you had issue. I didn’t even use there chord the entire time I reviewed it.
No need for a 1/8 plug on any dj mixer. Your only inviting a broken plug that gets stuck into the mixer requiring disassembly to remove them. I can't tell you how many times I had to do this managing the hardware at clubs.
I picked this up second hand in mint condition with an innofader pro put in for 650 GBP, over 30% off retail. It's been excellent coming from a measly pioneer DJM 250mk2, but here are a few observations: Pros: Faders are excellent for a battle DJ, but if you're doing smooth mixes the channel faders are in my opinion too sensitive, they don't have any weight like a pioneer does. The performance pads feel top notch The curve adjustments are really sweet The mixer is loud as hell, I barely ever go over 25% master volume The loop controls are excellent, really easy to use Some cons: The sound quality is not as good as the pioneer. It's still very decent but I can tell the difference. The filters sound nowhere near as good as pioneer The knobs are not quite as high quality as pioneer but are solid I am not at all a fan of the fader system for the serato FX section, it's really hard to get used to and doesn't feel intuitive at all. I may upgrade to an s7 or s11 in the future but it's just too much of a jump in price for a bedroom DJ like myself
Bleeding!? I’m confused, because if there’s any amount of bleeding, especially with the price of this mixer, that is absolutely unacceptable! If there’s bleeding, in anyway shape or form, this mixer is trash. As a matter of fact, why even do a review if there’s any amount of bleeding with this mixer, especially for a state of the art high end mixer that this one is supposed to be. I was so blown away by this unit until you said bleeding! I’ve been doing research on this mixer for a couple of weeks now, and this is the first time I’ve heard anything about bleeding. I sure hope that is just your opinion, or maybe that particular unit you have, because it is very disappointing if that is a flaw in manufacturing for this mixer! I can’t imagine for the life of me, why anyone would drop that much money for a mixer that has any type of bleeding in any way shape or form, because if that’s the case, you lost me at hello!

There is a proper fix for the fader bleed issue its a firmware issue
The firmware was up to date.
@@ClevelandTerry there is another fix on top of that they send out a reset for just the cross fader as they were not calibrated the steps are ....
1 power off elite with usb connection

4 release buttons when XFADER appears in led screen
5 push encoder to confirm

I picked this up second hand in mint condition with an innofader pro put in for 650 GBP, over 30% off retail. It's been excellent coming from a measly pioneer DJM 250mk2, but here are a few observations:
