    THE CHANNEL:
    This channel is about Kerbal Space Program and can consist of SSTO building tutorials and rocket building tutorials. Some times the videos contain bad language and adult humor but on a low level. In these videos no planet is safe as we can explore space together by landing on places like Duna and Jool and build large Duna colonies or orbital space stations. Also, Interplanetary SSTO builds seem to be a hot topic in the KSP community so I will be touching on those as well. I also build SSRT space craft. These are fun to build and easy to fly! Warships or space warships are one of my favorite things to make. Stock weapons can be very challenging and so when building them over time , you get to see the evolution of the designs. Same thing with the Warships. They get better and better with each new design.
    Now , I know it's considered cheating but Kraken drives are a fun way to put things like warp drive ( like in Star Trek ) and or hyper drives ( like in Star Wars ) in your Kerbal space program game. These game mechanic loopholes are fun to figure out as you find out how they work and how to incorporate them into your star ship design.
    Everything from Outposts on far away moons and Mining Stations around asteroids and comets, you name it I've ether built it or it's on my to do list! I still haven't really explored things like building SpaceX starship or any of the NASA spacecraft, and I think that's because it been done to many times. Recreations of spacecraft can be found almost everywhere on RUclips now and so making yet another one seem redundant. Only if the spacecraft recreation is of one that I loved as a kid will I even attempt to build it. Like the Apollo Moon Lander, or the whole Apollo rocket! Now that rocket was cool!
    Many people have ask me if I'm ever going to wear my Mandalorian helmet ever again for my videos. And , yes. when the time is right, and I get a new wabcam, I will be dawning the helmet once more!

    Does "Intra-planetary" work? Not Inter, as in Between, but Intra, as in Within. Within the planet's system. Just spitballin' here

    You could go with "Intra-system ship" 'intra' meaning'within' as opposed to 'inter' meaning 'between'

    As other people mentioned, I think "Intra-system" or "Intra-planetary" could be a proper term for the vessel

    For your ssto, one solution to mitigate drag would be using a fairing on the payload (if you have it unlocked), the shield everything from drag, the first node attached to the fairing base needs to have the same node size as the fairing to make it almost drag less (yeah this is one funny KSP quirks about drag, it's based on "node" occlusion, for some part of it), so say, for a 1.25m fairing, for a 0.625m payload, attach a 1.25 to 0.625m adapter to the base of the fairing, then your payload).
    On the back of the fairing, you could have either another fairing facing backwards with node occlusion, shapped like a cone, or an actual cone part, if one fits this size..
    Another example of node occlusion behavior can be seen at 4:03, your hitchiker is 2.5m size, but the adapter is 1.25m, meaning the hitchiker will generate a ton of drag, even with the parts attached in front like the cone, which may logically suppose it would not...
    The fairing solution would add quite a bunch of mass, but I'm almost confident it would be a net plus in the end, your drag losses from the payload being huges... : P
    A very very good video I'd recommend about drag mechanics in KSP is Lt. Duckweed's "Kerbal University: The Drag Cube", as well as "Kerbal University: Fairings and Cargo Bays"

    I'm surprised you didn't send up empty tanks to add to the explorer. Once they are up and attached you can add more fuel using that new SSTO with just extra fuel added on top rather than cargo. (It may be a tricky dock though as I don't remember you having rcs on it). The only hang up would be I don't actually remember what all is needed to unlock fuel transfers, but I think you did it in another one of your videos in this series.

    Waw I haven't realised how much time it has passed. I took a small break from Ksp and this is amongst the first Ksp videos I have now seen after my break. Now I can definitely say I have been missing out, I was a bit hesitant before clicking the video but I shouldn't have worried. It turned out really cool, I have highly enjoyed the video. It is a shame that you couldn't get the ssto to work with the payloads. I think it would have been a sight to behold and an impressive mission profile if it would have worked. I would say that if you had the time and motivation it would be cool to see a reaction of the idea on your channel but on a sandbox world where you have everything unlocked. Then you can showcase an eliteration of the vehicle that would work and it would be based on this episode. Anyhow I'm happy to be back. I will be binge watching your next couple of episodes.
    I am really happy you were able to upload more, VAOS lap content makes my day. I have aslo seen you posted videos on some other games. I will look at them when I can.

    Or you could use "intra-" prefix for ships meant to travel inside the kerbin system, since this prefix means "inside" while prefix "inter-" means "between".

    I don't know what your opinion on fairings is for your ssto spaceplanes, but it could help cut down on the drag of all the little pieces like batteries, antenna and decorative wing panels if you wrap up your payload before slapping it on top. Cool career mode vids as always Vaos!

    Amazing video as always VAOS. Love the ship design. And especially love the fact that it's called Enterprise! 🖖🏻 Now you'll have fate on your side during your mission to Minmus 😉 Also an idea for you, you could place a small refueling station in geostationary orbit around Kerbin. Then your ships don't need to have enough DeltaV to get all the way back to low Kerbin orbit. They can refuel on the way out and the way back. 🙌🏻

    Just a idea but as this career mode is on hard mode so science is small at best could you build a voyager type sat and send it into deep space to scavage some science and still send it up on a SSTO, maybe send it to duna or eve so the comms don't suffer to much ?

    You actually could build an ssto big and strong enough to get the station into Orbit.
    Build an SSTO with the max size and part count an also a docking Port for the cargo.
    Then spawn it and take your Station parts and build a crane for them to put them onto your SSTO. Might seem a bit cheaty but.... the game allows you to do it soooo. Is it really😁

      Yeah... but would it be stable enough to reach orbit? You can't add struts post VAB build (without mods). I think if you made it so that you had more than one docking port - minimum of 3, but preferably 4 or 6 - then it might be stable enough on the stack and through the launch.
      Also - that would have to be one HELL of a complex crane assembly. And BIG. Could that itself be a problem with the limited part count?

      @@logandarklighter you are talking without dlc i hope because there you can add struts in EVA.
      And Docking ports are relatively reliable when you active rigid body on all parts. But you know what?? I think im gonna test my theory in the next couple days
      But gotta help mit Brother i law renovate his house soooo. Might take longer.

      @@vaos3712 well its unity but under a old old out dated system so it only supports single core performance. even my PC chugs from it. i get about the same tho from both games lol but i like the newer unity tho it is requested of the user to upgrade because, this updated engine demands more. and i did say if u saved up 100$ or 50$ a month for 3 years what 10 years ago now haha ud have a super computer to run any game.
      there is nothing wrong with having a nest egg to finish a dream.
      i was also making a joke pretending this was KSP2 but modded to look like KSP1
