Hey man! I found your channel while doing research to see what it would take to make a Jurassic Park Jeep and you have provided some of the best tips that I have found. I recently just purchased a 1994 YJ with an almost spotless frame and only 102,000 miles on it which I cannot wait to convert it into a Jurassic Park Jeep. I am also very excited to see project Emo completed. Keep up the amazing work! God bless!
@@zachawk1575 mine ended up being a combination of two different sets. I found one set a jeep part out place. And another set on Facebook marketplace. I had to mix and match the sets to get a full working set. Because one set was busted and had some rust on one side and so I had to supplement some of the parts with another set. I have a set of the brackets still from one of the sets. If you find yourself needing that.
I’m sure yours is great! But yeah I wanted to do something that stood out that didn’t just feel like a here’s the same winch video everyone else has made.” I really appreciate it. (We should get to get together and make them do a tug of war! 🤣
Totally did the same thing with the negative lead when I put mine on…and doing the fair lead 1st wouldn’t have helped much, since those bolts were juuuuuuust a bit too long to fit the winch in if they were there 1st.
That actually sounds like a really fun video and there’s some sections of the scar that I still want to do. I don’t know if there would be much in the way of camping along those sections, but we could still make a drive out of it.
Just a friendly suggestion. Holley has some LED headlights that look like the factory headlights. You should check them out. Personally, if I were restoring or restomoding, I would buy the Holley Retrobright headlamps
Dad jokes for days! You sound like you're pronouncing wench way more times than winch. Be careful of the wires rubbing the painted bits, it'll wear the paint off. Ask me how I know. You better be getting her a drink!!🍻:-)
The hook they supply with their Chinese winch is super weak and very dangerous when it fails. Stick to grocery basket recoveries and you should be fine though. A winch is a very important part of any offroad rig. Going cheap on safety isn’t very smart but hey if other RUclipsrs/paid affiliates do it monkey see, monkey do.
Awesome video, hope to see you at the jeep meetup the Vineyard
Yep I’ll be there!
The ending was spectacular!
Haha thank you!
Enjoying watching the build progress of project Emo and so excited that I got to see Sue in person yesterday at Jeeptastic!
Thank you so much!!

@@SimplyMustGo Thank you!
@@SimplyMustGo Hey man, I had a question if you wouldn’t mind answering. Where did you find the Sahara side steps for Sue?

@@SimplyMustGo I might be interested! Thanks for the offer! Got a suggestion on how we could connect outside of the comments?
😂😂😂 that intro
Haha. Had to do something with it. 🤣
Duuuude! Best winch video EVER….seriously loved it! We filmed a openroad panther 2S winch and that video is vanilla!

I just finished installing my Openroad 9500 today on my JKU!
That’s awesome! It seems like a great winch so far!
I agree and so many people are running them or starting to run them.
@@mjenner89 yeah. I’m seeing them a lot
What bumper are you using for your JKU?
Absolute classic! I feel like you harnessed your inner Carver for a couple recovery situations.
Haha, well you'll find out, I never got mentally past the 5th grade. 😂
great video Matt. Back in the states, Keep making Emo better brother.
Thank man!
Haha! Super cute. And I'm REALLY relieved we now have a winch when it comes time to hit the trails in Project Emo. :-)
Haha
Lol awesome recoverys! Emo is looking good
Haha thanks! Yeah I’m excited to see her coming along. It felt good to get her out on the road for the first time since pulling her into the garage.

Ha! That’s good to know I’m not the only one! Hope you enjoy it!
haha!! Fun video! Love Jessica's cameo at the end! When are we going to do some Jeep VS Tacoma videos? We are here in Charleston, hit me up!

You should pre-tention the synthetic line
I would install a breaker/mega fuse between the battery and winch.
That’s not a bad idea.
Nicely done! 😂.
Haha thanks!
Hey man seen you at jeeptastic this year. I yelled as you went by but you didn’t hear. Awesome event with a lot of jeeps.
Hey! I’m so sorry I didn’t hear! We had a great time! Wish we could have said hey!

8:55 lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad you enjoyed it! 🤣
The shopping cart killed me haha
Haha. Thanks!
Wow that winch. pulled that jeep right out lol now that was funny
Haha. Thanks! 🤣
Good looking winch. Does it come with the wiring cables?
Yes. Comes with everything you need!
nice rc fms mashigan u have hha
Thanks! It’s a ton of fun!
Finally got a chance to watch this video Matt, well done and whether its a winch or wench, both good!
Haha. Thanks!
Emo is looking great! I'm coming back for new Wench day 🤣
Hahaha. If new wench day happens, I might be here…
I like that little drinking mug.
Where did you get it?
I think it was a gift a couple of years ago but might have come from battlemug.com/collections/mugs-cups
@@SimplyMustGo , thanks.
thanks for the laughs
Haha. You’re welcome!
LMFAO!
Glad you liked it!

Hahah. My lizard brain can’t really say them differently. Good advice on watching for rubbing on the paint.
Its winch not wench. If you were trying to be funny, it turned out to be irritating
Did you miss the first 15 seconds?
No. 15 seconds woudl have been ok but it continued throughout the video@@SimplyMustGo
