Praying for you and your mom. I lost my oldest son almost 10 years ago, he was 27, then last July, we unexpectedly lost our youngest son who was 19, he had a massive seizure on June 25th out of the blue without any prior illness, they had to keep him in a coma to protect his brain, but the seizures continued. The meds killed his small intestines and he died on July 25th 2022. We have one amazing son left who is now 23 and having a very hard time as you know. We are devastated but with HOPE!God's Blessings

Thanks for this. My husband suffered terribly for over a decade with chronic kidney disease, dialysis, infections/sepsis. He passed in December at 57 leaving me and more importantly, our now 13 yo daughter. My mom is 84 and in a nursing home (almost a year now) and is very unhappy there. I plan to share this with her and hope it brings her some peace and perspective.

I am so sorry about your husband. And my mom passed last year after living in long term care for 10 years. I've worked with the elderly al my adult life. Any facility is going to be bad. It's a mix of the company trying to keep shareholders happy and having ppl that are not compassionate and honest working there. But there's no alternative. It's a tremendous burden on you and the only thing you can do is stay on top of them all the time.
There ARE many many good ppl working in these facilities as well. Staff turnover is ridiculously high bc it's hard work and can be very emotionally draining. If you can find an LPN and a few CNA's that you trust, befriend them and appreciate them. They'll watch out for and take care of your mom and you can know what's going on with her. You are in a very tough situation and I wish you and your daughter the very best. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

I receive so much from you Ken I wasn't raised in a true Born Again family but always from small had a pull to find how to be saved. At 21, only reading the Bible, far away from any of my family God led me to Him. It's been a hard road, Narcessistic husband, but through it all I grew and Loved Jesus who became my family. I am now 84, I am living in my home yet. The hardest time was when my Daughter died at 53 from a brain tumor. Everyone else went and there I was without the one who was going to be there for me when I got old. I have not asked God why, I couldn't know but He prepared me for this storm. It's been 10 years. Now I it would be wonderful to have her to laugh with, but I only know that we have Eternity and I am starting to feel the Joy of seeing the One who is Everything. I don't hear from my children, we get along but moved and they don't understand they too might be alone. So Grateful God visits with Us, See you in the Rapture. God is so Good.

God is love, righteousness, holiness, the God of all comfort and patience. When we can't understand why such tragedies happens, we have to fall on the character of God. God doesn't do anything without purpose and plan, which has ripple effect on many people not just one. We have to trust Him that He has our best interests at heart. After all, He humbled Himself to suffer and die for us wretched sinners against Him and one another. What bigger proof then this we need? If us as parents we want the best for our children, how much more God for us?
We have to keep in mind that He is righteous and if the devil has legally anything against us then God has to deal justly yet trying to protect and make us grow as much as we allow Him.

Just lost my son last year. He was 17. I understand exactly what you are saying. I've come to understand nothing in this world matters but getting to heaven and saving as many souls as you can before you go. I hear people say thank God he woke me up this morning. To this I say thank God he woke me up enough times to understand what he wants me to do and the purpose of us being here. Waking up doesn't matter if you don't understand why he woke you up. You learn why the Bible says you must love the Lord more than anything or anyone even your family. When a loved one dies in a way you have to sacrifice them just as Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac. You think how can I follow a God that let my son die. Then you realize you have to give him to God and believe God knows what's best for you and your son. That's a sacrifice. You have to understand God's ways are above ours. God bless and if you don't know Jesus you had better find him.

I lost my 33 year old son 6 years ago. He was diagnosed with cancer at age 31 and it was an excruciating loss that nearly killed me. During his illness I would give him to God and then take him back, just like I did during his childhood. I finally was able to let go and give him to God, ‘dying to self’ as Paul said, and take my hands away. I never considered losing my son as a sacrifice so to speak and that’s something I’ll have to contemplate. I trusted God, and that faith in Him helped me at his death. God gave me the privilege of seeing Arthur’s spirit leave his body (which happened before his heart stopped beating). I realized that the little tiny word “why” is a deadly trap. It allows a door to open for Satan and destroy. After all, there will never be an answer for his death that I would/could say “Oh, I understand”. But as Ken said, I know I don’t know everything, but He does, and my faith in Him is sufficient. Now this is important, have you shared the gospel with anyone today? Or yesterday? Jesus’s last commandment was to GO forth and make disciples of all nations. I include our own nation and it’s surprising how many people in our own country have NEVER heard it before. I use a great tool called the 3 circles and there are many videos about it on RUclips. I can share the gospel in about 2-3 minutes and the Holy Spirit does the rest. We are instructed to be BOLD! ❤️

@@thebeanymac I would describe my grief journey as at first a fog, it was just one foot in front of the other. Then grief would hit me in a an unpredictable tsunami size wave. After 9 months God showed that my beating myself up (shoulda/coulda) was prolonging my intense suffering and paralyzed me from moving forward. So every time a negative thought would pop into my head I would say “No not going to think that” and replace the thought with a “I’m so grateful for the time I had with him” or “I’m so thankful for the privilege of being his Mother”. I was so angry, but not at God. There was no one to be angry at and He helped me through that too. He never left my side and He carried me when I could not walk. I don’t know how people get through such a time without Him. Praying God’s hand is on you!

I saw a little girl get run over she was 6,7, I was 12, and her dad was holding back her mom screaming over her. Never had any counseling or Mom helping me talk about it. I grieved one night in tears 40 years later of that. I went to her funeral, it was weird seeing her in a small casket and all. It's been over 40 years, and now I say there is no better place to be than with Jesus. And in that, I find solice for my own demise.

There are lessons to be learned when a sibling dies such as why did they die so young and can it be our fate too? Most of us are so certain that our diet is healthy. In my family, my mother and sister both died of breast cancer, my father and grandmother of Alzheimer’s or dementia, my brother died of suicide. In reality we were all eating an unhealthy diet. God told us what to eat in Genesis and no, we just won’t do it.
I am the only one left of my nuclear family and that rather hits hard. My husband then had cancer, his mother died of having cancer come back again and again. His father died of Parkinson’s, similar to dementia how it affected him. My mother had a hip replacement, my aunt had knee replacements. They all ate the Standard American Diet.
I decided to eat the Genesis 1:29 diet and found a doctor who explained why it works and whereas I was crippled with arthritis in a wheelchair, getting rid of just dairy at first, I was able to get out of that wheelchair. I weighed then 200 lbs. I’ve lost roughly 60 lbs. And I walk if the weather admits but not if I sprained my foot of course. It heals though.
My husband eats how I do now too. I am not on medications, my husband will be getting off of his one pill left soon for blood pressure. It is low now, but doctors just do not think that diet is that powerful.
God told us what to do and we ignored it. If we will be doers of the Word and not just hearers, the Bible says we will be blessed. And have been.
Yet, it is sad, God laid it on my heart when I was crying out to Him when I could not walk and my hands were so sore, I could only move the wheelchair in pain in my hands too. He asked me, “Did you never read Genesis 1?” Of course I had, many times but I was bowled over when I got to verse 29.
I’ve been living this way for about 10 years. The diseases I had did not come back.
Moreover Jesus would not run a slaughter house. Today we as a species have loved meat so much that now to grow more beef cattle and the feed they have cut down 1/2 of the Amazon Rainforest. This is climate changing.
There are meat substitutes and they taste good but we rarely use them. There is enough protein in the plants themselves.
Which is being done by faith that God would have asked us to eat a diet which was not best for us or decide that we are under Grace so it does not matter what we do as God will forgive us? The sacrifice of the animals is enormous, in numbers can hardly grasp. I may not be able to stop others from doing this but I tell you, God is not happy with told who destroy His Earth.
Don’t be one of those. “And the nations were wroth, and thy wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and the time to give their reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to them that fear thy name, the small and the great; and to destroy them that destroy the earth. We feel for you in your situation.
Noone can ever be perfect for God that's why Jesus came.
It's His perfection on the cross that has brought us into the family of God when we believe by faith.
God is always at work . As you simply trust Him, He will show you that He has a way for you.
He has promised to never leave or forsake you. May you know His peace and assurance now and for eternity. 🙏

So let me address this. Well, he did what he did all his years. Now he may have been chosen at That point. If he accomplished what he was sent to accomplish which I am sure he did, his soul was pulled out. He became a non player character. Just the the kids and people who die at such an early stage. They are non player characters meaning they are sent only to bring about a change that's required and then they are pulled back. In case of your brother, he preached all his years, he may have reached that point where he was to return to base and so his soul was pulled out, he became a non player character until the day his body also gives up on him. That's all! So yes, he accomplished what he was sent to do. In his last days, he was supposed to touch base for some other work, and his earthly body will remain slowly forgetting everything until he forgets everything which is when the soul just leaves, it is pulled out, and you are left with a shell. Be happy, because he did not really suffer. His soul did not get hurt. Coming down to this planet in this body, you very well know that it's all flesh and bones and pain is a part of this body!

Not everyone will die otherwise there will be no Rapture, as people will be going to heaven (without dying )with Jesus when he comes again..🤔🙏🏻

Because I believe that God created everything and declared it “all good””, and when sin came and death was it’s penalty, sin was an intrusion, an enemy and it was eliminated by Jesus dyeing for us on the cross, I also don’t believe in an eternal hell, where His enemies will be dyeing for ever and ever. I believe He is a loving God and will punish the unbelievers and antichrists with a fast burning by His glory until they become ashes and be no more. That are part of His just, righteous, loving character and real sin and death destroyed from the new world.

Be of good cheer. Jesus is coming for us soon. Don’t let the enemy whispers lies in your ear. God won’t give you more than you can bear. I will pray for you Stephen.

20:22: "And then you stand back and wonder" why you didn't eat more barbeque. Good interview, but if you don't want to end up in a nursing home, eat more fatty foods.

The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly. Yes the devil took your brother too young and your father too young. Jesus healed all who came to Him. It’s sad that over 90% of Christians don’t believe in healing and don’t bother healing the sick. The believer will lay hands on the sick and they will be healed
